I am sorry that you cannot comprehend the simple fact that the world's 8th richest economy--and richest state--is 47th ib per pupil spending and 48th worst in class size! While u and your allies work to keep taxes low for the wealthy and corporations you are cheating an entire generation of Californiaschoolchildren of decent classsizes and sufficient supplies. It reminds me of how corporate Germany supported Hitler until they found his programs were crippling Germanys schools, damaging their workforce! Your attitude reflects a total disregard for californias kids -- AND YOU HIDE DON'T EVEN HAVE THE GUTS TO PUT YOUR NAME ON YOUR E MAIL

As a California taxpayer, I do not appreciate your promotion of a day where you force children to participate in today's event. Peer pressure and outright propaganda about your plight as school teachers is not about social justice or equal rights. The fact of the matter is that the drop-out rate in your school district is deplorable. If you worked in the public sector, I would fire you all...but your jobs are more protected than mine. But I digress....
The real issue I have with today's spectacle is the fact that you are supposed to promote free thought and thinking, but in the same breath tell students and parents to support teachers at any cost. How can that not have an opposing viewpoint? . Ultimately a staged event to put fear into parents and students that somehow they will get an even worse education than they are already receiving from your poorly run schools is completely self serving. I thank God every day that my parents spared me as long as they could from the public school system, as a child we dug through garbage cans to to help pay the bills when my father was disabled from a work injury.
To see my tax dollars squandered by union employees to promote events like today's "wear pink" event is appalling. Think about the public sector...do you think I could walk into a board room and protest my being laid off to my CEO? I would be fired on the spot...let alone, who is working in the classrooms when you protest? How about you do your protest on a Saturday? Isn't school in session today?
The California Taxpayers are beginning to understand what a farce your organization is and we will not stand by idly while we are forced to bear the brunt of this economic burden.
I decline to give my name in fear of retribution from your union. One look at your president's photo reminds me of stereotypical mafia thugs and cronies, you would be wise to remove his picture if you ever wish to gain sympathy for your cause.
SHAME ON YOU!

You are a sick, pathetic individual. I have pity on you and people like you. I did not invite you to communicate with me and would appreciate you not sending any more of your unsolicited bile. I can almost picture you, rabidly foaming at the mouth as you spew out your reactionary and troglodyte political views. May you rot in hell--soon.
Very truly yours,

California budget faces new $8-billion shortfall
Plummeting revenue has already put the new state budget package out of balance, the Legislature's chief budget analyst says.

Reporting from Sacramento -- The state budget package that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed last month to fill California's giant budget hole has already fallen out of balance, with plummeting revenue creating a new shortfall of $8 billion in just the few weeks since the spending plan was passed, the Legislature's chief budget analyst said in a report this morning.
"The state's economic and revenue outlook continues to deteriorate," wrote Legislative Analyst Mac Taylor. "There have been a series of negative developments."

Taylor said lawmakers and the governor would now "need to agree to billions of dollars of additional budgetary solutions to rebalance the 2009-2010 budget."
The news is not welcome at the Capitol, where lawmakers were deadlocked for months before finally agreeing to a spending plan that includes tens of billions of dollars in new taxes on sales, vehicles and personal income, as well as deep cuts in numerous government programs. Voter approval is still needed for some of the measures in the package.
Taylor said the latest revenue declines were fueled by rapidly rising unemployment and lower-than-expected economic growth. Analysts are now predicting that the state's recovery will take longer than they had anticipated, he wrote.
In addition to the new $8-billion budget gap, Taylor reported a grim outlook for future years. He warned that the state faces a shortfall of at least $12 billion in fiscal 2010-2011. The next year, the projected budget gap is more than $20 billion.

Teachers protest pink slips on Pink Friday
Today is Pink Friday, the deadline for California teachers to receive preliminary layoff notices, and teachers are out in full force protesting across the state.
Prompted by billions of dollars in state budget cuts, more than 26,000 teachers have already received pink slips, including 2,300 in the Los Angeles Unified School District. These notices are warnings and must be finalized later this year. Educators are hopeful many will be rescinded by the May ballot if propositions 1A and 1B -- which would provide billions in new education spending -- are approved by voters.
Locally, students are planning a walkout protest at Fremont High School this morning, and United Teachers Los Angeles leaders will hold a news conference at the Miguel Contreras Learning Center. Across the region, protests are planned in Santa Ana, Huntington Beach, San Clemente, Moorpark, Monrovia and elsewhere.

I just checked out their website and the first thing that they boast about is bursting into a school board meeting and disrupting the procedure. Mr. Vazquez does not think that anybody should be able to defend their interest against UTLA. Public workers like teachers should consider themselves responsible to taxpayers.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

PERSONALLY, ITS TOO BAD THAT ALL TEACHERS DON'T JUST WALK OUT ENTIRELY.
THEN WHAT WOULD THEY DO?
A GOOD WAY TO CURB ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS IS TO FORCE THEM TO PAY OUT OF POCKET EDUCATION FOR THEIR KIDS.
BET THEY WOULDN'T HAVE ANY KIDS IF THEY COULDN'T AFFORD TO SEND THEM TO SCHOOL.
"ANCHOR BABIES" I'D LIKE TO THEM BITCH ABOUT THEIR ANCHOR BABIES NOT ATTENDING SCHOOLS.
