Campbell challenger pounces on citizenship bill

Campbell challenger pounces on citizenship bill

Rep. John Campbell’s defense Monday on MSNBC’s Hardball of the bill he’s co-sponsoring that would make presidential candidates prove their citizenship has led the Irvine Councilwoman who wants to unseat Campbell next year to use his television appearance to try and raise some campaign cash.

Campbell was on MSNBC’s Hardball Monday night and host Chris Matthews beat him up over his support for the bill authored by Florida Rep. Bill Posey. While the bill would only apply to future presidents, publicity about it has reignited the talk about whether President Barack Obama really was born in Hawaii. For the record, Matthews not only showed Obama’s birth certificate on the show Monday but a birth announcement from a Honolulu newspaper.

Democrat Beth Krom has sent out a blast email on this and has asked supporters to pass it on in hopes she can add to her campaign coffers. She’s going to need to raise big bucks to have any chance to run a competitive race against Campbell in one of the most Republican districts in the country.

So far Krom has $98,000 in the bank compared with Campbell’s $470,000.

Here’s the meat of Krom’s pitchh:

“While we have preferred to focus our campaign on our strengths rather than our opponents weaknesses, the current Representative from the 48th District was featured on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews yesterday defending his decision to co-sponsor legislation requiring candidates for the Presidency to produce a certified birth certificate.

“Apparently he considers this issue more important than healthcare, education, the economy, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and any number of other legitimate issues.

“Our country has never faced more serious challenges than those that our President and the Congress are currently wrestling with. We need leaders who will transcend partisan politics and demonstrate the kind of courage and intelligence that produces long-term solutions that move our country forward.â€

Show us the real birth certificate and other documentation.

No, Stupid Matthews showed Barry's certificate of live birth which most people understand is NOT the same thing as a birth certificate.

The political leaders of Kenya said that Barry was born in Kenay, they celbrate that fact.

Barry's grandmother said she saw him being born in a Kenyan hospitol.

The evidence builds if this allegation is not true, all Barry has to do is show his real unaltered birth Certificate and his Nationalization papers.

    Undocumented President.

    PS
This is a very important matter. Barry could not be a NYC cop with his lack of documnetation and he is the head of our country. And he is destroying us and favoring our enemies. Why? He needs to be impeached so that we can reverse all the damage he has done to our country.
