2 Killed, 15 Wounded In Weekend Shootings

    March 9, 2015 7:18 AM

CHICAGO (STMW) – Two men were killed and at least 15 other people have been wounded in shootings across the city since Friday night.

The two men were fatally shot inside a parked vehicle early Saturday in the Pilsen neighborhood.

About 1:30 a.m., Johnathan Ramirez, 18, and Santos Bueno, 22, were sitting in the vehicle in the 1000 block of West 18th Street when someone walked up and fired shots, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Both men suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Bueno lived in the 7900 block of South Kilpatrick, according to the medical examiner’s office. Ramirez’s home address was unknown as of Saturday afternoon.
A police source said the shooting may have been gang-related.

A teenage boy was wounded in the most recent nonfatal shooting on the Southwest Side.
The 15-year-old boy was a passenger in a light-colored SUV heading northbound in the 7900 block of South Kostner about 9 p.m. when a male standing on the corner opened fire, police said.
The teen was shot in his right leg and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized.
Police said the teen is a documented gang member.
About three hours earlier, two people were shot in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.
The shooting, which may have been a drive-by, happened at 5:50 p.m. in the 200 block of East 58th Street, police said.
A 31-year-old man was shot in the right leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized. A woman, 44, suffered a graze wound to the shoulder and was treated at the scene, police said.

At least 12 other people have been injured in shootings across the city since 9:45 p.m. Friday.

    Yeah, it's a battleground.

People who don't think that they have futures tend to act in the present.

We need a chief executive who actually cares about Americans - and about putting the poorest Americans to work. Unfortunately we are stuck with one who doesn't give a rat's rear end about the poorest Americans.
