Last year PTR Industries left Connecticut to move to South Carolina, a more gun-friendly state. In 2013, the Connecticut Governor of PTR's home state outlawed their product, forcing them to find a new home. They found a new home in the Palmetto state.

According to Courantblogs.com, PTR has made the "South Carolina Commemorative Edition Rifle," a black-and-brushed-nickel weapon that sports engraved palmetto tree and crescent moon insignias, complete with three 20-round magazines. This is to make a public statement regarding the decision they made to move last year.

"This rifle symbolizes a long journey that we've taken in just over a year, selling our homes, moving our families, leaving our friends," McNamara said. "What this rifle symbolizes is all the turmoil that we've been through to get where we are today."

PTR will celebrate the move on June 30 with a splashy rollout of the $1,200 South Carolina commemorative, when Gov. Nikki R. Haley receives a model with an "SCGOV" serial number.

Gov. Nikki Haley is considered a gun-friendly Governor who signed into law a bill that allows CWP holders to carry firearms into bars and restaurants. She also openly supports "open carry."
