This Halloween Light Show Is So BADASS It Took A YEAR To Create [WATCH]

in Entertainment, News / by Sean Brown / on October 12, 2014 at 12:16 pm /
There’s a lot of people who enjoy decorating their homes for Halloween and putting up displays for their neighbors to enjoy, but I can guarantee, you’ve never seen anything like this.
Two friends from Naperville, Illinois spent a year decorating one of their homes, decking it out with everything Halloween related, and the results are nothing short of phenomenal, according to Today.com.
For the last 15 years, Steve Jandick and Nick Thomas have worked to create breathtaking displays at Thomas’ home, which drew thousands of onlookers last year. They’ve covered the lawn with statues and trimmed the house out with thousands of lights, all of which are synched to 30 different songs, including Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
“It’s a combination of two crazy people,” Jandick said.
The incredible display, a result of the pair’s teamwork, runs from dusk until 9:30 p.m. on weekdays and for an hour longer on weekends. Most of the neighbors enjoy the festive decorations, but Jandick said there are a few who aren’t fans and it actually causes one household to take a vacation to Florida every year on Halloween.
“There are one or two complainers, but mostly everyone’s been fine with it,” he said.
Their remarkable work is the result of Thomas taking care of the decorations while Jandick works to create the mesmerizing light displays using the light animation software Light-O-Rama. Jandick has faithfully helped Thomas ever since 1999 and even traveled home from college to assist him in the past. He now lives just 10 miles away and said he doesn’t have any intentions of quitting now.
“I’m already picking out songs for next year,” he said.
Below are a couple of the songs from their unbelievable work, check them out then let us know what you think of them.

VIDEO: This Halloween Prank Gives New Meaning to 'SCAREcrow'

    10/14/2014 AT 02:55 PM EDT

Just when you thought threatening clowns and homes quite literally filled with spiders were the best things October had to offer, we'd like to bring you a video that will probably shape the way you view scarecrows from now on.

YouTube prankster Ed Bassmaster is doing his part to get people in the fall spirit by combining two prominent symbols of the season: the scarecrow, representing the harvest season, and the zombie, representing terror.

In the video, Bassmaster is dressed as a happy-go-lucky scarecrow who poses for selfies with hapless strangers ... before ripping off his hood to reveal a blood-spitting zombie face. It is, in a word, cruel. Fortunately, it is also hilarious, particularly when he's getting menaced by a man on a skateboard who wants nothing to do with a scarecrow hungry for brains.

Enjoy, and remember: Scarecrows are always hiding something.

WATCH: This Ouija Board Prank Is Scarily Eye-Popping

    By Drew Mackie @drewgmackie

You're walking down the street and see a sign advertising a free psychic reading. It could be your lucky day, but it could also be the work of the people who brought you that demon baby prank or that coffee shop patron going all Carrie.

This latest prank, to promote the new horror flick Ouija, stars "Ripley's Believe It or Not" favorite Jalisa Thompson, who happens to be that woman who can make her eyes bug-out on command.

But Thompson's expressive eyeballs aren't the only surprise awaiting these hapless passersby. Thinkmodo, the viral marketing firm behind this stunt, also has a ghastly surprise buried beneath the floorboards.

The takeaway? What you heard in gradeschool was right: Ouija boards are bad news.
