Heavily Publicized WalMart Shooting Results in Siren Calls to Rewrite Second Amendment

    Melissa Melton June 9, 2014

While people like writer Dean Obeidallah over at The Daily Beast are calling for “political hardball” in regard to gun control, writing, “Anyone else tired of the same old bullshit we see after every gun-shooting spree?” and our congresspeople are busy introducing more anti-gun legislation every chance they get, yet another highly publicized mass shooting just occurred in Las Vegas.
    The LA Times is reporting:

Five people were dead Sunday after a man and a woman ambushed two police officers at a Las Vegas pizzeria and then stormed a nearby WalMart, where police said they killed themselves after a gun battle with officers.
An unidentified woman, described as a WalMart customer, was also found dead inside the store just inside the door.
No motive for the tag-team attack is known, police said, although witnesses said at least one of the suspects shouted remarks about the arrival of a “revolution” and alluded to some kind of war.
Apparently one of the shooters, described as “a tall, thin, middle-aged white man in military-style clothing…with a small gun in his hand,” entered the Walmart shouting, “The revolution is about to start.”
This now makes four highly publicized shootings in the last two weeks, including those in Georgia, Seattle, and Santa Barbara, California.
People who share Obeidallah’s sentiment are banging the anti-gun drums as furiously as they can at this point.“It’s the real world where over 30 people are murdered with guns every day in the United States,” he wrote earlier today, admonishing politicians for not doing enough to halt the public’s gun access and generally painting people who stand up for the 2nd Amendment as cold, heartless bastards who care more about that gun access than a child’s life.
Never mind that he isn’t calling to ban, for random example, vehicles, which kill three times more people a year than the stat he cited. Nearly 35,000 motor-vehicle related deaths occurred in 2012 alone in this country.
Never mind that he isn’t calling to ban correctly prescribed, FDA-approved pharmaceuticals which kill on average more than 280 people a day in this country — more than 100,000 people a year and that is a conservative estimate. (Pharmaceuticals like the psychotropic variety featured in many of these mass shootings, including the recent ones in Santa Barbara (xanax), Georgia (alprazolam), and Seattle (prozac and risperdal), by the way.)
Never mind that a gun by itself can’t kill a person anyway. A gun kills someone when in the hands of a criminal who chooses to use it illegally. That’s because a criminal is not someone who follows laws.
(Yes, it really is that simple.)
Check out the picture from the LA Times story I mentioned above. Here’s a screen cap for critical analysis purposes:
These two guys are what the police look like in our country now.
It leaves you asking yourself what the hell happened in this country.

These officers look nothing like the quintessential cops of yesteryear. That’s because the American Barney Fifes of 50 years ago no longer exist

Now our police are more like camouflaged soldiers straight off the battlefield in Afghanistan.
The only difference is that little yellow word “police” emblazoned on the back of the guy on the left. If his back didn’t say that, the average citizen might not even realize these guys were police.
Today more than 90% of towns with 50,000 people or more have SWAT teams. Our police departments aren’t just armed with guns, but with drones equipped with less lethal weapons like rubber bullets and tasers (which can still kill), armored personnel carriers, Ballistic Engineered Armored Response Counter Attack Trucks, and even small town forces have purchased Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles through Department of Defense military surplus programs.
If we take away guns from the citizens, the only people left who will have those guns are America’s now highly militarized police (state) officers like those in the picture above and, because again they do not follow laws, criminals who will still get them regardless of laws (the same way they do now).
Obeidallah is now calling for an all-out rewriting of the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States:
I’m not saying repeal it, but take a page from the pro-gun lobby who for 20-plus years preached, wrote academic papers, held seminars, etc., to support the then-radical notion that the Second Amendment bestowed a personal right to own a gun, thus making it more challenging to enact laws that restrict access to them. Of course, the Second Amendment says no such thing. (source)
Quick history lesson. When the founding fathers wrote the 2nd Amendment, what were they ultimately trying to protect people from anyway?
The average convenience store robber or home burglar?
A random crazy person who shoots up a public place in such a manner that no amount of laws could have possibly stopped it anyway because if someone wants to hurt a whole bunch of people that badly, he or she will find a way?
    Nope.
The founding fathers were ultimately concerned with an oppressive, runaway tyrannical government — something all these anti-gun arguments consistently fail to mention.
That’s why they wrote, “the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed,” and they didn’t write, “The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall be infringed any time some random crazy person commits some random crazy act of violence with a gun.”
*UPDATE: Before we go rewriting the 2nd Amendment, consider this*
The Las Vegas Review-Journal is currently reporting, “One unconfirmed report is that the two exchanged gunfire with a citizen who was carrying a concealed weapon, and that one of the shooters was injured.” [emphasis added]

As the media piles on and attempts to connect Las Vegas shooter Jerad Miller, and his wife, to the Bundy Protesters, the facts are not coming out. By his own account Jerad Miller was asked to leave the Bundy Ranch. Even so, he was there long enough to get on camera with NBC News: Though Jerad Miller was at the Bundy …

Flag on the Play as Left Spins Las Vegas Shooting

Posted by Tad Cronn on Jun 10, 2014 in Politics

The killers in Sunday’s Las Vegas shootings, Amanda and Jerad Miller, are just turning out to be the Left’s fantasy murderers.

After dozens of high-profile mass killings in which the suspects were clearly straight-down-the-line libs, the Millers came along with a twist, depositing a Gadsden flag at the scene of their murders of two police officers and spouting some nonsense about starting a revolution.
The blog Raw Story claims to have found postings by the Millers on Alex Jones’ InfoWars and other conservative sites, and the Millers apparently made an appearance at the recent Bundy Ranch showdown, though it appears they were given the boot by the real militia people who were there.
So now the media, led by professional outlets like Reuters and cut-rate agitpropists like Raw Story, are working overtime to make Amanda and Jerad Miller into full-fledged representatives of the Tea Party movement and conservatives in general.
Time out. There’s a flag on this play.
    Specifically, the Gadsden Flag.
There’s also a mostly overlooked manifesto (there’s always a manifesto) with a swastika on it that was left at the scene of the two dead officers, according to officials familiar with the crime scene.
If not for the lingering effects of public schooling, the cognitive dissonance of those two objects — a Gadsden Flag and a Nazi Swastika — being anywhere near each other would have jumped out at anyone being made aware of the facts, even notoriously slow reporters and editors.
When exactly the Gadsden Flag was created is open to debate, but the symbol of a rattlesnake on a yellow background with the motto “Don’t tread on me” first entered the history books when Congress commissioned the Alfred as one of four ships for the Continental Navy, and some of a contingent of Marines who enlisted for a mission to intercept a British ship loaded with arms had on their drums the Gadsden symbol, complete with motto.
An anonymous letter writer (probably Ben Franklin) to the Pennsylvania Journal in December 1775, calling himself “An American Guesser,” speculated on why the rattlesnake might be an appropriate symbol for America, noting that rattlesnakes have sharp eyes and could therefore be considered a symbol of vigilance. Further, he wrote, “She never begins an attack, nor, when once engaged, ever surrenders: She is therefore an emblem of magnanimity and true courage. … she never wounds ’till she has generously given notice, even to her enemy, and cautioned him against the danger of treading on her.”
The flag gets its name because it was presented by Christopher Gadsden, a colonel in the Continental Army and member of Congress, to Esek Hopkins commander in chief of the Navy, for use as his personal standard. The flag is also sometimes called a Hopkins Flag. Gadsden also presented the flag to the South Carolina State Legislature.
The Gadsden Flag has served as a symbol of the Marines, the Navy and countless generations of proud Americans. As such, it has become the unofficial symbol of the modern Tea Party movement, which seeks to honor America’s history by restoring its greatness, as represented in the Constitution, the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the renewal of free enterprise and individual liberty.
In other words, both the Gadsden Flag and the Tea Party represent everything modern liberalism is opposed to, that’s why the Left makes up such scurrilous lies about the Tea Party and conservatives on a regular basis.
Now consider that Nazi Swastika that adorned the killers’ “manifesto” at the Las Vegas crime scene and everything it stands for — statism, government control, loss of liberties, boundless aggression, racism, violence, scapegoating of innocents to further the grip on power.
Right there in a nutshell you have the modern liberal movement, which is always dividing people by color, gender, ethnicity, religion and any other category it can come up with. Liberals make a loud noise about “helping” the victimized while pressing for programs that ensure everyone is a victim and that everyone hates everyone else so that we don’t ever compare notes and discover who the real bad guys are. The liberal worldview is designed to keep your head spinning till you don’t know up from down, good from bad.
Which is why the Left is so successful at divorcing itself from its own history, which is replete with racism, from founding the KKK, to pushing a program of eugenics against blacks and “poor” people through abortion. There was a long list of wealthy American liberals who cheered on Hitler in the 1930s. Many of the names are the same ones that today appear regularly in the credits of PBS shows — names like Rockefeller, DuPont, Hutton and Morgan.
There have been countless books written about how the same clusters of wealthy liberals sponsored both the Communist and Nazi movements. (Such books are almost always condemned by the Left with the worst label they can think of, “conspiracy theory.” The reason the Left wants you to disdain and avoid “conspiracy theory” is that so much of it is about modern liberalism.) Even today, the communists and Nazis vie to stake out territory in the ideological Left. Recall when both the American Communist and Nazi parties came out in support of Occupy Wall Street, striking a rare common chord.
Today, the Communists have the edge, having sympathizers installed throughout Congress and the White House, so we hear the Nazis badmouthed by the Left and used to scapegoat conservatives. If tomorrow the Nazis took over the Democratic Party, or Hollywood, then the story would become that Republicans are Communists. (Some liberals already believe that.)
The Millers may have gone to the Bundy Ranch, posted on all the conservative sites in the world and dropped a Gadsden Flag at the crime scene, but I can assure you they were not with us. Everything they believed, especially the racist scapegoating and the contempt for human life, screams Left wing. Pretending to be conservative just to make conservatives look bad? That’s a lib thing, too. Anything to tear down “the enemy” — it comes straight out of the Alinsky handbook.
I don’t know if the Millers could have been agents of some sort, or set up by the current government. It’s possible.
But what they definitely were was hangers-on to conservative groups, outsiders who didn’t really buy into the groups’ principles and who didn’t really “get” what the people they tried to hang out with were about.
Another thing the Millers definitely were was monsters.
The showdown at Bundy Ranch was about free people standing up to an overreaching government to protect their rights. It was very much an embodiment of the American spirit.
What the Millers were about is slaughtering innocent people. Those officers may have worn a government uniform, but they were just a couple of guys dedicated to protecting the public taking a doubtless well-earned lunch break.
But the Left is going to work hard on this case to try to make it look like it’s about the Tea Party and conservatism in general.
That’s because liberals really don’t want you to recognize them in the Millers’ faces.

Critical of Government? Pro Liberty? Pro Gun? Get Ready to Be Lumped in with the Vegas Shooters

    Melissa Melton 30 mins ago

The mainstream media is officially having a full-on field day with the Vegas shooters’ online postings, demonizing the patriot movement and basically anyone critical of the government.
In case you haven’t seen the news, the main report is that 31-year-old Jerad Miller and his 22-year-old wife Amanda shot two police in cold blood at a Las Vegas CiCi’s Pizza, left a Gadsen “Don’t Tread on Me” flag on one cop’s body and a Nazi swastika on the other’s before heading over to the Walmart across the street and yelling about how the revolution had begun.

If it sounds really stupid, that’s because it is.
Today’s reports are highlighting with fervent glee every single detail of the Millers’ anti-government, pro-liberty movement beliefs as per their Facebook posts and YouTube likes.
Take a look at just a few of today’s headlines:
Las Vegas Cop-Killers Hated Government and Left Swastika on Body
Vegas Shooters’ Facebook Pages Reveal Support of Bundy Ranch, Gun Rights
The Chilling Anti-Government, Cliven Bundy-Loving Facebook Posts of the Alleged Las Vegas Shooters
Those with even more obvious agendas are going even further:
Meet The Crazed Pro-Gun Anti-Government Right Wing Shooters Who Killed 5 In Las Vegas
That particular headline is from “The New Civil Rights Movement” site which posted a link to an even more telling headline:
Walmart Shooters Who Left 5 Dead Had Neo-Nazi, White Supremacist, Tea Party, Bundy Ranch Ties
The site Mediaite reported, “Jerad’s ‘likes’ include such conservative pages as Conservative America, Conservative Daily, Mr. Conservative, Ron Paul, the NRA, Americans for Prosperity, FreedomWorks, all in addition to conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. Amanda’s included some of the same along with the Drudge Report and Hobby Lobby.” (Their emphasis, not mine.)
Wow. Shooter Amanda Miller even liked Hobby Lobby. That’s pretty hardcore. The outlet then added this post from Miller’s Facebook page:

Mother Jones took a similar reporting route with, “Jerad Miller’s Facebook ‘likes’ include the NRA, American Patriot Media Network, Support the 2nd Amendment, The Patriot Party, Rand Paul 2016, Ron Paul, the Washington Examiner, Legalize Weed, Draft Judge Andrew Napolitano, the Heritage Foundation, FreedomWorks, American Crossroads, and Allen West,” discussing how the Millers rallied behind “cause celebre in the so-called ‘patriot’ movement” Cliven Bundy whose standoff with the Bureau of Land Management made national headlines this past April.
Cliven Bundy’s son Ammon told the Associated Press that Jerad and Amanda were maybe the only two people out of hundreds who came to protest at the Bundy Ranch who were actually asked to leave:
He said that while details were still sketchy, the Millers’ conduct was the problem. He called the couple “very radical” and said they did not “align themselves” with the protest’s main issues.
“Not very many people were asked to leave,” he said. “I think they may have been the only ones.” (source)
In the article, “Las Vegas ‘revolution’ shooters ID’d as right-wing conspiracy nuts with a deathwish,” Raw Story included this post reportedly from Jerad’s Planet Infowars page:
“How the Gov. spends billions of dollars on the war on drugs and all these missles and bombs to kill people, I think about all that money that could do to helping people instead. Creating jobs, creating happy, healthy people. I dont want a hand out. I just need a foundation to stand on. One that wont be pulled out from under me as soon as i step up on it.” [sic]
Raw story went on to report, “The same InfoWars user complained that chemtrails were causing higher levels of respiratory illness, including strep throat and ‘bronchidus,’ and he also warned that ‘Im sure the floride isnt helping much either.’”

And the following excerpt about liberty and fascism Jerad Miller posted in early May is everywhere:
“There is no greater cause to die for than liberty. To die for that cause is easy, to live for it is another matter. I will willingly die for liberty. Death, in a sense is freedom from tyranny. Death, is the easy way out. Most notably is the “suicide by cop” routine. Yes, standing before despots is dangerous and most likely does not end well for you. I know this, my wife knows this. Soon they will come for us, because they don’t like what we think, and what we say. They don’t like the fact that we, simply will not submit to fascist rule. We don’t have much, but we are willing to sacrifice everything…….for you, for your freedoms. Even if you wouldn’t let us have ours. We know who we are and what we stand for, do you?”
…along with the fact that Miller discussed people “waking up” and the pro-liberty movement images he posted online, including those expressing that the 2nd Amendment is about freedom and that Democrats want to end the Benghazi investigation.
    Outlet after outlet has exploited the Millers’ pro-liberty, pro-Cliven Bundy, pro-tea party, pro-Ron/Rand Paul, pro-Constitution, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-NRA, pro-”so-called Patriot Movement,” anti-Obama, anti-government, anti-police state, anti-chemtrail, anti-fluoride, anti-drug war, anti-U.S. War on Terror, anti-fascism stance to the hilt.
Essentially, the entire kitchen sink of the alternative media and every government-admonished “crazy conspiracy theory” has been thrown together into one highly publicized shooting.
How bad is it? It’s to the point that NBC posted the following pictures with the tagline, “Jerad Miller and Amanda Miller pose for a mug shot on an unspecified date and location.”
While Jerad Miller has been arrested multiple times, the likely reason Amanda’s “mug shot” is from “an unspecified date and location” is because it’s not a mug shot at all, but one of her personal photographs taken in Las Vegas that’s been brightened and had the background Photoshopped out:
When blown up, you can even see remnants of some of the red writing that’s been left around her hair by the sloppy Photoshop job.
The second picture was posted up at Heavy.com under the headline “Jerad & Amanda Miller: The Pictures You Need to See” and Heavy is right, because I needed that much more proof that this tragedy is being pushed for all the political agenda furthering it is possibly worth…and more.
The level of propaganda is staggering.
Now if you have any legitimate criticism of the government in pretty much any area discussed in the alternative media, no matter how valid your points or beliefs may be, get ready to get lumped right in with ‘crazy right wing neo-Nazi white supremacist conspiracy theorist cop killers’.
Mere minutes after posting the above video on this story, someone already called me a “terrorist” just for pointing this straw man out.
Jerad Miller’s Facebook page can be found here. Do you know anyone who has a similar-looking Facebook page?
I just shared this picture from former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura’s page:

Wonder what the mainstream media and those who hand them their agenda would have to say about that today?
(For the record, my first guess is that Senator Dianne Feinstein would say it’s one more reason that alternative media journalists should have their First Amendment rights straight up revoked — one of her more recent pet projects along with attacking the 2nd Amendment every chance she gets.)

Oregon School Shooting: New Gun Control Legislation in 3…2...1

    Kim Paxton 1 hour ago
How will the mainstream media spin this, the latest school shooting?
Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon was on lockdown after a gunman allegedly armed with a rifle opened fire in the school. One student and the gunman have been reported to be dead. News photos show terrified students filing out like criminals, at police gunpoint, with their hands in the air.

A gunman and one Reynolds High School student are confirmed dead following a shooting inside the Troutdale school.
Law enforcement officials offered few other details concerning the shooting during a 10 a.m. media update.
“This is a very tragic day, one that I hoped would never ever be part of my experience,” Reynolds School District Superintendent Linda Florence said to parents, students and media.
Around 100 law enforcement officers, tactical teams and medical personnel are in the process of evacuating students and staff.
No one else is known to have been injured in the shooting.
One student told a parent the shooting began in the school’s gymnasium, though police have not been able to confirm specific details.

Another student interviewed at 10:30 a.m. suggested there was more than one shooter inside the school, though police have not confirmed any additional gunman.
The student did say he heard two shots and witnessed a shooter, who he said was male and was not covering his face. The student could not say who the shooter was.
Law enforcement officials confirmed the known shooter was likely armed with a rifle.

Police were first alerted to the shooting just after 8 a.m.(source)
Recent weeks have been host to a rash of shootings across the country, with much blame being cast on “right wing extremists.” This has caused a frenzy in the gun control crowd, with new legislations being introduced on the coattails of the tragedies. This sudden flurry of shocking violence has led many to question whether or not some or all of these events have been false flag operations, designed to scare the public into supporting the overthrow of the Second Amendment.

Tuesday, 10 June 2014 14:50 Everyday Americans Demonized After Las Vegas Murders

    Written by Alex Newman

As if on cue and reading from the same script, senior Obama administration officials and the increasingly discredited establishment press rushed to paint a deeply deceptive caricature of the alleged Las Vegas cop-killers. By selectively picking what to report in an outlandishly biased manner, a deranged couple described by neighbors as methamphetamine-abusing white supremacists became — at least in the mischaracterized “mainstream” media — everyday Americans suspicious about government run-amok. According to polls, over two thirds of U.S. voters say the federal government is “out of control” and a threat to basic liberties.
Like with tragedies of all varieties, the establishment almost reflexively began searching obsessively for unalienable rights to attack: gun rights, free speech, freedom of association, and more. Also, as has become typical, the media promptly began trying to distort and pigeonhole the supposed “ideology” of the murderers in an effort to demonize ideological foes, as if the “ideology” of lone lunatics was important. The victims, meanwhile — two police officers and an armed Good Samaritan at Walmart — have been largely ignored except as props to advance the dangerous agenda being pushed by the press and the Obama administration.
The first two victims, both police officers in Las Vegas, were 41-year-old Alyn Beck and 31-year-old Igor Soldo. They were executed at point-blank range at a pizza restaurant. Beck, a senior patrol officer who joined the department in 2001, was survived by a wife and three children. He was described by friends as tender, gentle, funny, fearless, a good cop, and an intellectual. The other officer, Soldo, leaves behind a wife and a baby. He joined the department in 2006 and was described by family as a loving father and a “great guy.” Fellow law enforcement officials and the community mourned their loss.

The other victim, who was carrying a concealed firearm and tried to stop the male suspect in Walmart, was identified by authorities as 31-year-old Joseph Wilcox of Las Vegas. Based on police accounts, it appears that Wilcox did not realize the couple was working together. He was shot dead by the female suspect after confronting her husband. “Joseph died trying to protect others,” Sheriff Doug Gillespie said of the Good Samaritan. A police official quoted in local media reports also praised Wilcox. “To me, he was a hero,” the officer said. “He was trying to stop an active shooter.” Unsurprisingly, as The New American reported, Wilcox was virtually ignored by the press — almost certainly because his heroism does not fit with the agenda.
In most of the press, the focus was not on the hero or the innocent victims, but on the supposed “ideology” of the deranged murderers — identified by police as Jerad Miller and Amanda Miller. Special vitriol was reserved for critics of the Obama administration. The Tea Party, for example, was demonized due to its occasional use of the U.S. War for Independence-era Gadsden flag reportedly used to cover up the bodies of the murdered police officers. A National Socialist (Nazi) swastika was also left at the crime scene. Law enforcement is still investigating what it all might mean, if anything.
Radio titan Alex Jones and his Infowars media empire, meanwhile, were hysterically attacked by the establishment press because one of the suspects had left some comments at the website and shared some of the articles. Jones, who recently warned listeners to expect a false-flag operation, said after the tragedy in Las Vegas that he suspected the latest rampage had been staged. That prompted the White House-linked, Soros-funded propaganda outfit Media Matters to ramp up the anti-Jones hysteria even further. The attack-dog group also slammed the wildly popular and influential Drudge Report — a favorite target of far-left ideologues — by extension. Jones has one of the top 10 radio programs in America and his websites get far more traffic than even many national establishment media outlets.
Based on the "likes" of one of the suspects on Facebook, numerous mainstream organizations ranging from the Heritage Foundation to the Washington Examiner were also demonized by far-left media outlets such as MSNBC and Mother Jones. Even political figures like former Congressman Allen West and others associated with elements of the conservative movement were cited as possible sources of inspiration for the alleged white-supremacist murderers — despite the fact that West is black. Some of the most outlandish media commentators even pointed to Obama’s skin color as a possible motivation for the killings.
Finally, Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and his supporters nationwide were cited by the establishment media because the suspects reportedly visited the property amid a showdown with the Bureau of Land Management. The two murder suspects were promptly asked to leave the ranch, according to the suspects themselves, their neighbors, and members of the Bundy family — a fact that much of the establishment press conveniently omitted in their reports. Also carefully concealed from consumers of what critics say is establishment-media “propaganda” was the presence of numerous law enforcement officers, sheriffs, and lawmakers from across the West at the Bundy ranch in support of the embattled ranchers.
It was not just the media seeking to whip up hysteria and paranoia about everyday Americans and their constitutionally protected rights. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, currently under fire for alleged corruption and bizarre ramblings against private citizens, wasted no time in calling for more gun control after the tragedy. “The American people are depending on us to pass legislation to prevent gun violence,” Reid claimed, ignoring the fact that dozens of existing gun-control schemes were violated by the suspects — not to mention far more serious laws against murder. Obama’s Interior Secretary Sally Jewell also tried to link the alleged murderers to the Bundy ranch.
One of the big problems with the media and administration narrative so far, though — again, as with most tragedies — is that the facts do not fit the agenda. Even if they did, of course, the supposed “ideology” of the deranged killers would be as relevant as their fanatical obsession with heavy metal music. However, in the now-typical rush to demonize political opponents, the establishment press has had a field day, citing the shooters’ alleged shouting about their “revolution” during the rampage.
Law enforcement officials, who were mourning their slain colleagues, tried to keep the calm. “We believe this is an isolated act,” explained Assistant Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill in a press conference about the tragedy. “There is no doubt that the suspects have some apparent ideology that’s along the lines of militia and white supremacists.” He also said the alleged killers had “anti-police ideology.” Apparently the suspects were under the misguided impression that police are the “oppressors,” officials said. Local law enforcement spokesmen said they were still searching for a motive, even though the media seem to think they have already uncovered it. Officials also said they found white-supremacist paraphernalia.
Neighbors who knew the suspects and social-media posts attributed to the alleged killers revealed bizarre views and behavior as well. “They were handing out white-power propaganda and were talking about doing the next Columbine,” a 22-year-old neighbor told the Las Vegas Sun. According to the neighbor, the male suspect sometimes dressed up as Peter Pan. He also described the couple as “weird people” who probably used methamphetamines, sometimes called crystal meth — a drug known for contributing to strange, paranoid, aggressive, and sometimes delusional behavior. Another neighbor also said the couple often talked about murdering police.
On Facebook, the female suspect, who reportedly did most of the shooting before eventually killing her husband and then herself, also posted strange rantings on the Internet. “[T]o the people of the world… your [sic] lucky i can’t kill you now but remember one day one day i will get you because one day all hell will break lose [sic] and i’ll be standing in the middle of it with a shot gun in one hand and a pistol in the other,” she allegedly wrote on May 23. Analysts noted that such rhetoric, despite the media narrative, sounds nothing like the words of a Tea Partier concerned about Big Government and its violations of the Constitution.
The male suspect was a convicted felon in Washington State for stealing cars, thereby becoming legally prohibited from owning a firearm. Apparently the alleged murderer was not concerned about gun laws, which are generally only adhered to by law-abiding citizens. According to news reports, the male suspect also had a criminal record in Indiana, as well as a long history of problems with drugs and domestic violence. Also left out of most media reports was the fact that the suspects allegedly seized weapons from the police officers they murdered, and the fact that the rampage only ended after they were confronted with armed force at Walmart.
Of course, when mass-murderers express obsessive pro-government views — National Socialists (Nazis), Communists, international socialists, and other adherents to "ideologies" that have murdered well over 100 million people in the last century — the press actively tries to cover it up. The New York Times, for example, became infamous for its half-baked efforts to conceal the Soviet communist genocide of Ukrainians from the world. Its headline for an article about the recent tragedy, though, reads: “Antigovernment Obsession Preceded Las Vegas Shootings.”
When ex-Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer Christopher Dorner hunted down and murdered his former colleagues over alleged corruption, the media was virtually silent about his rabidly pro-Obama "manifesto," his demands for more gun control, as well as his praise for Hillary Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), and media figures like CNN’s Anderson Cooper and extreme anti-Second Amendment zealot Piers Morgan. Headlines declaring "Pro-Government, Pro-Obama, Pro-Gun Control Obsession Preceded Cop-Killer's LA Rampage" were nowhere to be found. Neither were radical pro-government media personalities blamed.
The pattern of deeply biased and deceptive reporting was also manifested recently after another recent shooting. When a deranged homosexual activist and fringe Southern Poverty Law Center apparatchik shot up a conservative-leaning non-profit’s headquarters, the media were mostly missing in action. No establishment media headlines trumpeted that “Pro-government and Pro-Homosexual Obsession Preceded D.C. Shootings,” or anything remotely similar.
After those shootings, The New American reported: “Of course, the individual shooter was solely responsible for his actions — nobody else, including the leadership of the SPLC ... can be legitimately blamed for the attack.” The same is true in this case and all other, similar tragedies. Some analysts, though, say the establishment media’s obsession with the supposed “ideology” of deranged killers — at least when it suits their agenda — may contribute to creating copy-cat murders.
About one in five Americans trusts the establishment media, according to recent polls. Even that much support, though, is almost surprising considering how brazen the deception and agenda-driven “journalism” has become. On the other hand, some 68 percent of Americans say the federal government is “out of control” and a danger to their fundamental freedoms — making such views about as mainstream as they can be. From reading the misnamed “mainstream” media and its regurgitation of Obama administration press releases, the one in five people who still trust the press might be forgiven for thinking that almost seven in 10 Americans may be on the verge of going berserk. In the real world, though, the chances of that happening are probably as close to zero as it gets.
