I thought this website was about Immigration?

Sure, it is fun to discuss other things...but do we really have our ducks in a row to stop these insane immigration Bills in Congress?
    1. DREAM Act---introduced in Sen. Judiciary Committee, 3-26-09 by Dick Durbin, also introduced in US House
    2. Uniting American Families Act---introduced in Senate Judiciary by Chairman Patrick Leahy, 2-12-09. intr. in House 2-12-09
    3. AgJobs Bill, intr.in Sen. Judiciary by Dianne Feinstein, 5-14-09
4, Sen. Chuck Schumer has promised to introduce Comprehensive Immigration Reform legislation, "by Labor Day"

I think it is much better to see these bills expire in Committee. Sen. Sessions of Alabama has valiantly been leading the opposition to them, but even has difficulty with pro-business Republicans. Please call members of the Committee:

I know people are believing there will not be enough votes to pass any of these when it really gets down to it. But Democrats did pick up more seats last year. Better to plan ahead, though, I think. I think we should explain to Sen Schumer's office how upset we are that foreign citizens have now become a powerful lobbying force on the US' Capitol Hill. I thought the Democrats were for transparent politics, free from unethical lobbying, yet thousands of non-citizens and illegal aliens routinely call the US Congress.

People are not blind to the other issues beyond illegal immigration and so they discuss those issues on this part of the forum. You can find all of the information you want on illegal immigration on the rest of the forum and through the action alerts if you sign up for them.

Re: I thought this website was about Immigration?

It's posted in "other." so no it's not.

All this activity was stopping immigration from coming up too!
No Healthcare, no Cap & Trade, equals no Amnesty passing either.

EXCEPT now Obama is bypassing Congress and making up Immigration Reform with Unions, and people like LaRaza......

American's make their voices heard on many issues and other topics is a place to vent about issues other than immigration. It does not mean we are not active and fighting against illegal immigration. WE ARE and WE WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO!

And a lot of those "other" issues involve socialism which is one of the reasons why illegal immigration is being ignored.

The liberals are stacking the deck and not playing fair. A one sided nation is a communist nation.

We are a very diverse well educated community who's primary mission is to to fight against illegal immigration and amnesty for illegal aliens. With that said we are Patriots and care about the future and direction of our Country and we are and will make a difference.

What concerns me, though, is the more I learn about Chuck Schumer, the more a hardened cynic he appears to be. I saw a quote from his US Representative days when he stated that he knew the 1986 IRCA would be a failure, but he supported it, in spite. Now he is running the show. He's been selecting the speakers before the Committee.... and even ones that knew better apparently cave in to his thinking.

And on the other hand, ranking member Sessions doesn't necessarily have total teamwork in the minority position on the Judiciary Committee. Which he really needs....
    Just saying....

The funny thing is, if these other issues are not resolved and we lose our Republic, the illegals will all leave anyway. That is if they are not sold into servitude with the rest of us. Illegal immigration is very important, but open your eyes man, Obama is ripping the constitution apart faster than if he simply put it in a shredder. All of these issues are intertwined. To treat just one aspect of this illness may find you illegal alien free in a totalitarian nation wearing the chains of slavery.

There are too many issues that somehow touch the illegal alien problems we have, including the loopholes in the healthcare bill under consideration. There are so many bills that are going through (unread) that will reflect on this national problem.
Other topics usually includes some stories about the economy and budget, while we are seeing about $27 billion sent out of this country to Mexico alone, and that is the second largest contributor to their GDP after oil exports. And there are really no estimates about monies going to other countries around the world.
No matter how distant and removed a story seems, there is always food for thought, and to put it all into context, I really think this website has spurred that train of thought: every story does feed in to our culture losing its footing and our language being ignored.
