Incoming Populist President Bolsonaro to Expand Gun Ownership in World’s 4th Largest Democracy

by Jim Hoft December 29, 2018 155 Comments
Incoming populist Brazilian President-elect Jair Bolsonaro announced on Saturday he plans on allowing all Brazilians without criminal records to own firearms.

The “Trump of the Tropics” made an election promise to fight corruption and crime in the world’s fourth-largest Democracy.

Bolsonaro also announced he would move the Israeli embassy to Jerusalem and will not sign the insane UN migration pact that hands power over the the corrupt international body.
The international left is going to absolutely HATE this guy!

Brazil’s far-right President-elect Jair Bolsonaro said on Saturday he plans to issue a decree allowing all Brazilians without criminal records to own firearms, welcome news to many core supporters who want him to loosen Brazil’s strict gun laws.
Throughout his campaign, Bolsonaro had pledged to dismantle Brazil’s current gun legislation, which presents various bureaucratic and legal obstacles for people seeking to purchase firearms. That message appealed to many Brazilians who want to use guns for self-defense amid sky-high levels of violent crime.
“By decree, we plan to guarantee the ownership of firearms by citizens without criminal records,” Bolsonaro, who takes office on Jan. 1, wrote on Twitter on Saturday.
He did not provide additional details and it was not immediately clear what mechanisms Bolsonaro would have at his disposal to carry out such a decree, or what specific measures the decree would contain. Brazil’s Congress is already discussing measures to loosen gun control laws.

Brazil's New President Vows To "Fight The Marxist Trash" in 2019

He's also giving guns to law-abiding adults...

Brazil's new president Jair Bolsonaro does not mince words. On the eve of his ascension, the right-wing politician and former paratrooper announced over Twitter that he would issue an immediate decree easing gun laws and will work to "fight the Marxist trash" be says is being taught in Brazil's classrooms, according to France24.

The announcements underlined Bolsonaro's desire to break with decades of center-left rule in Brazil, as he prepares to take over from President Michel Temer, a center-right caretaker figure who served the past two years and finished with historic unpopularity.

They also reinforced the similarity between Bolsonaro and US President Donald Trump, who has taken pride in keeping many of his own promises to his base regardless of the bitter national disunity that has resulted.
Bolsonaro, 63, won election in October on an anti-crime, anti-corruption platform.
He triumphed against a candidate from the left-wing Workers Party, which had held the presidency between 2003 and 2016 before graft and financial mismanagement soured its image with voters. A tepid exit from a record-busting recession also spurred appetite for change. -France24
Bolsonaro coasts into office with a 75% approval rating that will undoubtedly make his agenda far easier to carry out.
On Saturday he tweeted that an imminent decree would make it much easier for adults over 25 to obtain firearms, as long as they have no criminal record. Bolsonaro says that allowing "good" people to own guns will discourage criminals, as well as reduce Brazil's homicide rate after nearly 64,000 murders last year.
His opponents say this will usher in vigilante justice, while a Monday poll by the Datafolha institute found that 61% of Brazilians were against the idea.
Bolsonaro tweetd on Monday "One of the goals to take Brazil from the worst positions in the world's education rankings is to combat the Marxist trash that has settled in educational institutions. Together with the Minister of Education and others involved we will evolve into forming citizens and no more political militants." (translated)

    Jair M. Bolsonaro @jairbolsonaro

The incoming President along with his new foreign minister, Ernesto Araujo, have frequently referred to the Workers Party and other left-wing groups as Marxists.
Between 250,000 and 500,000 people are expected to attend Bolsonaro's Tuesday inauguration, including the Israeli and Hungarian prime ministers Benjamin Netanyahu and Viktor Orbán among a dozen notable dignitaries.
Netanyahu wants Bolsonaro to confirm his election promise to move Brazil’s embassy to Jerusalem and claimed on Monday that the president-elect had told him the move was a matter of “when, not if”. The pledge has divided allies and sparked a diplomatic row – an early sign, analysts said, of how the former army captain’s radical ideology will sit uneasily with the realities of governing. -The Guardian
Security will be tight surrounding the inauguration, with anti-missile defenses and over 20 warplanes deployed to ensure a restricted airspace over the capital.

The ceremony will follow Brazil's New Year's celebrations - which are expected to see over two million people to Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana beach.

"Complete Chaos" As Brazil's Gangs Go Ballistic Over Bolsonaro Crackdown

"Police stations, city government buildings and banks have been attacked with petrol bombs and explosives."

Brazil has been swept with a rash of violence as gangs react to new President Jair Bolsonaro's crackdown on crime - which includes military takeovers of Brazilian cities and shoot-to-kill orders carried out by teams of sharpshooters.

Five hundreds national guard troops have been deployed to the north-eastern town of Fortaleza in the state of Ceará, after authorities have been overwhelmed by more than a week of violence which saw more than 160 attacks, reports the Guardian.

Security forces say three rival drug gangs have come together to carry out more than 160 attacks in retaliation for a proposal to end the practice of separating gang factions inside Brazil’s prisons.
Buses, mail trucks and cars have been torched. Police stations, city government buildings and banks have been attacked with petrol bombs and explosives. On Sunday, criminals blew up a telephone exchange, leaving 12 cities without mobile service. Other explosions have damaged a freeway overpass and a bridge. -Guardian
There have been 148 arrests linked to the attacks, while at least 20 prisoners suspected of ordering the attacks haver been transferred from state to federal prisons - where Bolsonaro's administration says it won't back down on its plan to combat gang activity.

Prison gangs launched 153 arson attacks in and around Fortaleza, Brazil since Wednesday night. Cars, buses, shopping centers, banks, and government buildings have been targeted. 148 have been detained, and 2 suspects have been killed.https://g1.globo.com/ce/ceara/noticia/2019/01/04/ataques-no-ceara-o-que-se-sabe-e-o-que-falta-saber.ghtml …

Homicide rates in Fortaleza and other north-eastern cities have soared in recent years, as a territorial wars have broken out between Brazil's most notorious gangs; the First Capital Command (known as the PCC in Portuguese) from São Paulo and the Red Command (Comando Vermelho) from Rio de Janeiro, which have locked horns with the Fortaleza-based Guardians of the State and the Northern Family from Amazonas state.
The PCC and the Red Command are locked in a bitter fight to control Brazil’s drugs trade, and Fortaleza is seen as a strategic prize because it is the closest large port to Europe and Africa. -Guardian
"We used to only see this kind of savagery on television in Rio de Janeiro. Things used to be mellow here," said Carlos Robério, co-owner of a minibus co-op in Fortaleza who watched helplessly over a CCTV feed as a group of youths doused one of their kiosks before setting it on fire.
Robério said that the breakdown in civility has made him want to arm himself. "It’s complete chaos here and I feel like I’m in the middle of the ocean without a life raft"
To that end, Bolsonaro last week said over Twitter that he would issue a decree to ease gun laws, making it much easier for adults over 25 to obtain firearms, as long as they have no criminal record. Bolsonaro says that allowing "good" people to own guns will discourage criminals, as well as reduce Brazil's homicide rate after nearly 64,000 murders last year.

Brazil's security forces killed 5,000 people in 2017, an average of 14 a day.
Meanwhile, authorities in Rio de Janeiro have trained up to 120 sharpshooters which will acccompany the city's police force into nearby slums to eradicate violent gun-toting criminals.
The marksmen will work in pairs; one shooter and one spotter who will monitor conditions and videotape the executions, according to Bloomberg, with the two officers alternating roles.

"The protocol will be to immediately neutralize, slaughter anyone who has a rifle," said Witzel - a former Brazilian marine and federal judge, on December 12. "Whoever has a rifle isn't worried about other people's lives, they're ready to eliminate anyone who crosses their path. This is a grave problem, not just in Rio de Janeiro, but in other states."

Brazil's Bolsonaro Blasts Left's "Marxist Indoctrination... Enslaving Kids To Welfare Dependence"

"Their goal is that you learn about nothing so that in the future they are entirely dependent on the government for everything... is social welfare more important than your kids' dignity? Your kids' honor?"

Less than two weeks after he was sworn into office, Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro is making good on his commitments to dismantle the Marxist indoctrination underpinning Brazil's culture.
To explain his perspective on how Brazil's left has indoctrinated the children in Brazil to enslave society, Bolsonaro took to Twitter...

By way of background, as The Brazilian Report explained last year, the "Schools without Political Parties" initiative - which imposes several limitations on teachers in the classroom against the perceived "leftist indoctrination" in Brazilian education - is a pillar of Brazil's Jair Bolsanaro's agenda and promotes forbidding teachers from mentioning "gender ideology" and stating that they can't go against the moral and religious convictions of students' parents.
Critics say it would bring censorship and intimidation to schools, but Mr. Bolsonaro's choice of Mr. Ricardo Velez-Rodriguez as Brazil's Minister of Education - a self-declared "anti-Marxist," makes it clear that the "re-foundation" of the nation's education system intends to end a structure which "dismantles traditional values of our society [...] of family, religion, and patriotism."
In a November 7 blog post, he wrote that Brazilians have become "hostages of an education system that indoctrinates students into scientism and Marxism."
In another post, he said Brazil "should resist politically correct globalism, which has adopted the crazy notion of 'gender education."
He continues: "This nonsense must end."
Additionally, Damares Alves, an evangelical pastor who has been appointed Brazil’s the new Human Rights Minister, said, according to the Associated Press,
“Girls will be princesses and boys will be princes...There will be no more ideological indoctrination of children and teenagers in Brazil.”
And this is what Bolsonaro focused on in his brief speech yesterday...
    Full Transcript:
What is their [the left's] objective in doing this [exposing kids to early sexual discussions]?
Their goal is that your children that study in public schools - sorry to say this because when I was young, public schools used to be decent... now only the poor put their kids there because they don't have any other choice - learn about nothing so that in the future they are entirely dependent on the government for everything.
Now, I say to you [beneficiaries of social welfare], what's more important to you? I know social welfare is important to many of you, but is social welfare more important than your kids' dignity? Your kids' honor?
And I'll say more, The Workers' Party, through their website (Humaniza Redes), they say clearly that Pedophilia is not a crime, and that the pedophile can only be judged after an export does a "detailed report," because if the pedophile has some kind of "mental disorder," according to Rousseff's website which is linked to the human rights secretary, that had Mrs. Maria de Rosario as its Chief, he's only considered a pedophile if he doesn't suffer from any mental disorder... or if the pedophilia was practiced for no commercial purposes.
This is what they [The Workers' Party] want for kids since the age of six.
What are they doing all throughout Brazil?
Approximately 100,000 public schools are being used for political propaganda for The Workers' Party.
Like Professor [Marco Antonio] Villa has been saying: "The Department of Education (MEC) cannot be used as Propaganda for a political party."
Besides defending the dignity of our children, we are taking care of our own future... no wonder I'm wearing this short of Japan.
In Japan, kids of 6/7 years can solve math problems our college students can't, because here in Brazil, it's more important to teach a boy that he's not a boy and a girl that she's not a girl (like they did in the National High School Exam) than to teach them something that will allow them to free themselves from social welfare, poverty, and misery.
Is it any wonder the globalists are terrified of this truth-speaking leader?
