Jay-Z Addresses the Illuminati Rumors (Again)

Analysts at AllHiphop.com have zeroed in on a facsimile of lyrics Hov has written for a track on his upcoming album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, to neither confirm nor rebuke the allegation that Shawn Corey Carter is a member of the Illuminati.

“Conspiracy theorist screaming Illuminati,” he raps on the track “Heaven,” “They can’t believe this much skill is in the human body.”
It’s not a settling reference for people who were hoping to discard the idea that Hov is a member of a secret society that controls world affairs and is bent on eliminating the Roman Catholic Church, but it’s worth pointing out that the real substance behind this theory couldn’t be weaker.
As Gawker reported, a Twitter account operated by the a fake Kat Williams wrote, “I.V.Y. = Illuminati’s Very Youngest B.L.U.E. = Born Living Under Evil. Blue Ivy spelt backwords (Eulb Yvi) = Latin for ‘Lucifers Daughter.’” But of course, no such words in Latin exist. Maybe Jay-Z wore a lot of pyramid jewelry to the 2013 Grammys because pyramids are an Illuminati symbol, but maybe he just likes pyramids. Then the International Business Times suggested that a 1939 photograph of a Jay-Z doppelganger strengthened the argument that Hov has an interest in the occult, but we’re not sure how.
