KEEP YOUR HEALTH PLAN ACT PASSES THE HOUSE WITH 39 DEMOCRAT VOTES

The House of Representatives has passed a bill designed to make Barack Obama keep his most famous broken promise. The Keep Your Health Plan Act passed on a vote of 261 to 157, with 39 terrified Democrats voting in favor… and the rest of the caucus voting to throw them under the bus. President Obama has threatened to veto the bill, if it passes the Senate.
That is, for the record, a considerably stronger vote than the Affordable Care Act itself received. The bill that has destroyed almost 5 million insurance plans, and counting, passed on tight 219-212 vote. The Democrat leadership supposedly feared it might lose 50 or more members of its caucus to Upton’s bill; 39 “yes” votes is on the low end of what they anticipated a few days ago.

Four of the “no” votes were Republicans: Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma, Paul Broun of Georgia, Ralph Hall of Texas, and Thomas Massie of Kentucky.

Note that most of the Democrats who voted “no” on the Keep Your Health Plan Act are on the record as repeating President Obama’s false promise that Americans who liked their plans could keep them. Only a few of the Democrats cited by House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy for echoing the Big Lie voted “yes” on the Upton bill.
