Tax Day Tea Parties to be held in O.C.

THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTERStory Highlights

Thursday's tax-filing deadline symbolizes the impetus for the grassroots Tea Party phenomenon, which launched in early 2009 with a cry for smaller government, less government spending and lower taxes.

Rallies are slated nationwide by activists, who've given the Tea Party name a "backronym" of "Taxed Enough Already." At least five events are scheduled for Orange County. For more information, visit teapartypatriots.org.
