Mall owner sued over treatment of Hispanic workers

LAS VEGAS — A federal agency is suing shopping mall owner Simon Property Group Inc. over treatment of Hispanic employees at the Forum Shops at Caesars on the Las Vegas Strip.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed the civil rights lawsuit Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas.

The commission accuses the Indianapolis-based company of subjecting at least four men to a hostile work environment based on their country of origin.

A Simon Property spokesman did not immediately return a call seeking comment on Tuesday.

The lawsuit says the workers were subjected to physical intimidation and derogatory racial slurs.

It claims the company failed to take action after it was alerted to the problem.

Oh heavens NO GREEN CARD CHECK! These poor innocent illegals have already been victimized enough!

These people sure know the way to the courthouse steps. So much for "living in the shadows!"

How would you determine if the job you are to perform is related to your country of origin?

So they dream up these jobs?

If the corporation is being sued it ought to be over the hiring of cheap illegal workers then have these illegals sent back to their own countries. Of course they will go home with plenty of money from a system they know how to work!

Is this the same man that canceled a tea party that was going to meet at his mall? Is a big supporter of Obama's?
