Man charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl
Howard police seek man accused of sexual assault
Howard County police are searching for a man who is charged with sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl.
Fermin Aseituno Mejia, 42, formerly of Ellicott City, faces charges of attempted second-degree rape, third- and fourth-degree sex offense, second-degree assault and indecent exposure.
The girl was walking back to her family’s apartment Aug. 22 when the suspect pushed her into a laundry room and sexually assaulted her, police said.
The girl escaped and told her mother what happened.
Her mother notified police.
Police believe Mejia is hiding and may attempt to flee the country.
They are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. – Carolyn Peirce

If it was an American the name would have been published. If the guy was white they would have told you. Here in Utah when they don't release names we know they are illegas. It always takes a few days for it to get out that the person was illegal. Someone here is paying of the news stations and also the papers.

Until the suspect's immigration status is printed by the press, we don't automatically assume the person is an illegal immigrant. There are several indicators that would lead us to believe this person is an illegal immigrant but nothing firm.
This article implies that the suspect is an illegal immigrant because he has the ability to flee to another country. We should watch this story for future developments and move it back into News if the suspects's immigration status turns out to be illegal and is confirmed in a publication. For not, the story will hang out in Other Topics.
I must say, that is one of the strangest names I've ever seen.

I called the Howard County's Northern District Station (410-313-3200) and spoke to the duty officer. The perp is not yet in custody. If arrested, they would likely ask for an imigration status check.
