I hope they all get replaced.

Minimum Wage Liberals Threatening Violence If They Don’t Get Raise

The discussion on whether or not minimum wage is enough to live on has been a long disputed issue, but as greed and laziness remain prevalent some are demanding more than they’re worth. As common sense has interjected many-a-time, however, talks of raises are becoming a bit less frequent.
As a result, those working for minimum wage have upped the ante by threatening guaranteed violence if they don’t see a higher number on their checks come the end of the week.
The threats are coming out of Chicago where about 1,300 minimum wage workers got together in hopes of remedying their less than adequate financial situations. Their great idea: civil disobedience.
According to Steven Greenhouse:
“They’re already slowly killing us with the way they’ve got us living,” said Terrence Wise, a Burger King worker in Kansas City, Mo., who served as M.C. for much of the convention. “Are we going to stand up?” he asked. “I want to see who is willing to do whatever it takes, who is willing to get arrested.”
After his pleas, the workers voted unanimously to conduct a wave of civil disobedience actions.
Civil disobedience comes in all stages, and although they’re promising only protests at this time, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens when their demands remain yet to be fulfilled. That being said, these protests result in one of two ways – either everyone winds up with raises, or people get replaced (terminations).
Either way, it’s hard to argue at this point why minimum wage workers would even want to open that can of worms – after all, several animated machines have been invented that can more than handle the task at hand. From touch screen cashiers to even machines capable of making a burger, let’s just hope – for their sake – they don’t push too hard. After all, if businesses can front an employee’s annual salary, the benefits from such a machine would pay for itself in no time.

And without the headaches of whiny employees that think they’re underpaid, who could argue with that? It’s either that or have to pay $15 for a Big Mac – you decide.
What do you guys think though – is this the right way to go about getting a raise? Is the minimum wage set too low? Is there a middle ground in all this somewhere? Feel free to let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments below.
