Under the law, people on the terrorist watch list can be stopped from getting on a plane . . .

. . . on the list was even permitted to buy more than 50 pounds of explosives! . . .
Okay, I'll bite. What purpose was the 50 lbs. of explosives to be used for? I'm sure the individual had to fill out paperwork to obtain such a large amount. Perhaps he blows tree roots out of the ground for a living or destroys beaver dams. Heck, there could be a number of reasons he has a legitimate use for the explosives.

The whole premise of your argument is based on an accurate list of actual terrorist. Remember, according to the sources you provided, the so-called terrorist watch list is out-dated and inaccurate.

Remember who it is that is on their watch list.

I suppose when you subvert the law as long as they have you start getting a little/lot paranoid.

Current law doesn't stop firearm or explosives sales to people whose names are on the terrorist watch list.
How bright is it to allow people on the Terrorist Watch List to buy EXPLOSIVES ?

So Bush and Congress did nothing about this from 2005 until Jan. 2009 ?

I sure hope Congress and Obama are now smarter than that.
