6 arrested in Nebraska as 33 pounds of meth seized

OMAHA, Neb. -- More than 30 pounds of methamphetamine has been seized in two separate Nebraska cases.

Police say 23 pounds being transported from Denver to Omaha was seized after an investigation by Omaha officers and federal agents.

Daniel Zendejas and Maria Elena Valencia of Riverbank, Calif., and Jose Tomas Lopez of Denver were arrested.

Other details were not released.

After a traffic stop along Interstate 80 in south-central Nebraska, three people were arrested and 10 pounds of meth confiscated on Tuesday.

The Nebraska State Patrol says troopers arrested Ruben Torres of Avondale, Ariz.; Connie Sanchez of Glendale, Ariz., and Silvestre Garcia-Sanchez, who is from Mexico. All three are suspected of possession with intent to deliver.
