New York City becomes 'gun control' murder hub as 25 people shot in just two days

(NaturalNews) Gun violence is completely out of control in New York City, where strict gun control provisions just so happen to bar law-abiding citizens from carrying firearms for their own protection and that of those around them. So non-law-abiding criminals, who naturally do not follow gun laws, have basically taken over the city as a result, which recently led to the gunning down of an astounding 25 people in different parts of the Big Apple in less than 48 hours.

According to New York Daily News (NYDN), the victims hailed from all areas of the city, including the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan - the only part of the city not struck by the string of shootings was Staten Island. At least 12 people were reportedly shot in Brooklyn, while eight were sprayed with bullets in the Bronx and another four were mowed down in Queens. The one man who was blasted in Manhattan apparently lost his life in broad daylight amongst a crowd of people.

The string of shootings began on Sunday, June 2, when 21-year-old Ivan Martinez was approached by a 20-year-old gunman and another woman at 3:25 a.m. near E. 139th St. and Brook Ave. in the Bronx. The assailants shot Martinez in the head and reportedly fled the scene. Not long after this, another man in his 40s was gunned down by a different assailant in East Harlem, while four hours earlier another man was murdered in cold blood in Brooklyn. And a few dozen more shootings took place in the hours that followed all throughout the city.

"The two days of bloodshed represented 5 percent of this year's roughly 440 shootings," explains NYDN about the shooting spree. "Despite the violence, that figure represents a 23 percent drop compared with the 574 victims shot through this time last year."

'Safe Act' gun control laws have done nothing to curb gun violence in NYC

Among the 25 New Yorkers shot, six ended up dying, according to Syracuse.com. At least one of the suspects, who was involved in a shooting at Brooklyn's Prospect Park, reportedly fired at police before fleeing the scene. And nearly half of all the shootings occurred on Sunday, while 14 of the shootings occurred between Friday and Saturday. But most noteworthy is the fact that all the shootings happened after the passage of NYSAFE Act Gun Reform, which just goes to show the utter failure of gun control legislation at curbing gun violence.

"It is all but impossible to obtain a firearm license in New York City," wrote one commenter on a Syracuse.com article about the difficulty of law-abiding citizens to exercise their Second Amendment rights in New York City. "There is, in effect, a complete ban on firearms in five boroughs. As such, I can say with almost 100 percent certainty that the firearms involves [sic] in these shootings where [sic] illegally possessed. What has the Safe Act done to even remotely address this?"

New York In Shock As Gun Control Leads To 25 Murders In The Last 2 Days

Like most Democrat-controlled, big cities, New York City has one of the most stringent gun-control schemes in America. But this heavy emphasis on banning guns has not stopped a recent rise in murders in the Big Apple.

Over a 48 hour period between June 11 to June 13 25 people were killed with firearms in New York. Victims were from all over the city. In fact, the only part of the city that didn’t experience a shooting over the 48-hour period was Staten Island!

Eight were shot in the Bronx, four in Queens, one in Manhattan, and a whopping twelve in Brooklyn. The fellow killed in Manhattan was shot during the day amongst a crowd of people.

But notice that New York’s “Safe Gun Act” hasn’t really done much to stop crimes committed with guns. It may have stopped law-abiding citizens from being able to respond to life-threatening attacks with their ownguns, of course.

Due to the anti-gun laws, it is practically impossible for law-abiding citizens to get guns for themselves. But, oh, boy do the crooks have them. According to news reports 100 percent of this gun crime spree was perpetrated with guns held illegally in criminal hands.

Notice that hundreds in not thousands of crimes every year are stopped by legal gun owners. Take the woman in California that stopped a home invasion with her firearm. Or the Florida business owner who cornered and captured a crook in his store. Or the boy that used a gun to save his father’s life.

These are the life-saving events that New York’s Democrats will put an end to and murders will increase because of it.

With Democrats succeeding in banning guns we get idiotic and dangerous situations like the 9/11 operator that told a woman being raped to kindly ask her rapist to just leave.

The good news is, though, that this is still a drop in murder rates over last year. This is true across the country, actually. And every state (including New York) no have concealed carry in some form or fashion–except Illinois which is just about to put one in place. We have more guns than ever in the hands of law-abiding citizens and crime has dropped.
