Darla pointed out in her post today, that Joltin Joe Biden sent out an email in time for the Sandy Hook anniversary, to remind us all how awesome he and the President have been regarding such issues.
Using a term learned from H. Normal Schwartzkopf during the Gulf War, I will endeavor to analyze this missive of little Joey.

Lets review:

1) Held federal agencies accountable for sharing reliable information with the background check system.

You had proof they were providing bogus information? How did you hold them accountable? Did anyone get fired due to a cause and effect gun violence issue?

Bovine Scatology

2) Begun to address unnecessary legal barriers that prevent states from reporting information about those prohibited from having guns.

Really? Which specific legal barriers are these? If someone has no record, how are you going to do this? And which agency are states required to report this to? Where will it go?

Bovine Scatology

3) Encouraged private sellers to run background checks through licensed dealers.

Encouraged? Or mandated? This sounds like a poorly written resume by a communications major with no hope of gaining any meaningful employment.
Tyrannical Bovine Scatology

4) Reviewed categories of dangerous people prohibited from having guns.

Wow, thats amazing, you mean you double checked what history has already taught us about who might be a poor choice for firearm ownership? What good did that do? Oh, yeah, its another bullet point for Joe Biden to put in his propaganda email to foolish idiots.

Bovine Scatology

5) Began investments to improve states' abilities to share information with the background check system.

Investments? Giving away more money we don't have to states again? Or is this just another total smoke and mirrors statement. You began them because you thought about it, or did you actually waste money on this? If someone has a criminal record, it shows up, so what exactly did you decide to have them include?

Bovine Scatology

6) Nominated and confirmed a Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

You mean, you did your job, and thats an extra effort bullet point for gun violence?

Major Bovine Scatology

7) Issued a Presidential Memorandum requiring federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.

So, that firearms go through checks in criminal investigations anyway, to see who owns them, where they came from, thats not enough, you had to make sure the federal agencies get the information or do more double tracing? I guess we have a new federal database of firearms data to keep track of the data we already have in other federal databases? Since this is reactive, it prevents nothing. Fail.

Bovine Scatology

8 ) Helped law enforcement avoid returning guns to the wrong hands.

And how did you do that? Since we know from your point 7 that local law enforcement checks sources of firearms in crime anyway, how was it you helped them to determine to not give the firearm back? Obviously it won't go back to a gang banger involved in some firearm related crime. So, did you keep it from going back to the rightful owner? Probably not, this is just a perpetuation of ideas that they had, and are listing them to fool the morons who support this kind of nonsense.

Bovine Scatology, Yes we can!

9) Provided training on responding to active shooter situations to law enforcement officers, first responders, and school officials.

And how did you do this? Most agencies are familiarizing themselves with these procedures anyway, so what exactly and specifically did you do to accomplish this? The money shovel again, with copious press releases?

Boving Scatology

10) Published data on lost and stolen guns.

Now this really is a stretch. The guy who lost it knows its lost and the guy who stole it knows he took it, so whom does this benefit? This is another poorly written resume bullet point of meaninglessness.

Bovine Scatology

11) Took steps to maximize enforcement efforts.

Oh good grief! What kind of freshman year intern wrote this poppycock list? What steps did you take? Where? Were they effective? How much did it cost and how many agencies were involved?

Bovine Scatology

12) Provided schools and other institutions a model for how to develop and implement reliable emergency plans.

Finally, something you might have actually done that other local agencies were not already working on! Wait, probably not. (See comments on active shooter issue above)

Bovine Scatology

13) Provided incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.

Is that some new term for campus cops? Are they armed, or are they just there to die dialing 911? We all know incentives just means temporary federal money to make you look good. FAIL. Since you fought many attempts to have trained, armed personnell in schools, including off duty officers.

Bovine Scatology

14) Begun a national responsible gun ownership campaign.

Oh brother, is this ever a line of Bull. Do you think that nut jobs like the clown in Colorado or Sandy Hook would really read and obey that? This is the whole problem, by definition, responsible people are responsible, and irresponsible people are not, and nutjobs are nutjobs. The latter two, won't suddenly jump the tracks and get a clue just because you have thrown more money into a publicity campaign.

Bovine Scatology

15) Published a report reviewing new gun safety technology.

Wow! Another poorly written resume bullet point. Nothing anyone could not have done w/o google, which is probably what your intern did for you.
Bovine Scatology

16) Begun the process to review and enhance the safety standards for gun locks and gun safes.

Waste of time. Well built gun safes and gun locks when properly used do the job now. You are just trying to eek your way into more control. Moreover, the "Begun the process.." just means you are adding fluff to an already weak list of paultry accomplishment.

Bovine Scatology

17) Clarified that no federal law prevents health care providers from warning law enforcement authorities about threats of violence.

"Clarified" -how quaint. You just want other people to mine data for you. There is no federal law prohibiting me from asking your about anything either, doesn't mean I'll get an answer.

Tryannical Bovine Scatology not intended to be for gun violence at all.

18 ) Clarified that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit communication between health care providers and patients about gun safety.

Other than making Doctors do your dirty work for you, and counting on patients to be bluffed by your tyrannical behavior, you have "Clarified" once again, that you are not really about health care or gun violence, but about control and vaccuming info on people to that end.

Tyrannical Bovine Scatology -intended to identify who owns firearms w/o a warrant or 2nd amendment issue per se.

19) Launched a national conversation to increase understanding and reduce stigma about mental health.

"Launched a national conversation.." -you could do that about Swiss cheese if you mention it in front of a camera, so that is not really a giant leap for you. Reduce stigma about mental health? This is a leak of what they call a "mind parasite" -it means they tacitly understand that the recent "gun violence" issues were committed by people with mental health issues who obtained firearms somehow. Not by normal, law abiding citizens, whose guns they wish to control or seize. Also, "Launched a national conversation.." -wow, big whoopie. Was anything productive accomplished? Were there goals? (Other than throwing up the smoke and mirrors again) ?

Bovine Scatology

20) Finalized requirements for private health insurance plans to cover mental health services.

You mean, realizing Obamacare chopped off some mental health services, you violated the Constitution by amending an existing (albeit rank) law by executive order, instead of the processes outlined in the Constitution of the United States. -an impeachable offence. (One of many, but I digress)

21) Clarified how Medicaid plans must comply with requirements to ensure that mental health care is covered the same as other medical services.

"Clarified" read: roll the burden to the states, and force them to cover what ACA does not cover, and thereby cover your sorry butt for the moment. Political fluffery, soon to be trapped when the federal slush funding of Medicaid collapses in a year or two -by design. Provided the states have not bankrupted out by then anyway -by design.

Tyrannical Economic Bovine butt covering Scatology

22) Finalized the rule implementing the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008.

With names like Parity and Equity, you know it has to be Commie. Sounds more like you used these events as an excuse to crowbar in more useless regulations and control that somehow slipped your first gauntlet, the ACA.

Also, "Finalized the rule.." is another weak phrase like, "Clarified.."

Tyrannical Bovine Scatology

23) Issued a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to conduct public health research on the causes and prevention of gun violence.

--Something they are prohibited by law from doing, but thats ok, you are a Tyrant, so who cares? To resist is just racism, right?

Tyrannical Bovine Scatology

Summary:

Very little achieved, but a press release for idiots to gobble up like a free Thanksgiving turkey.

Conclusion:

Made for an anniversary to look important so more tyrannical gun legislation can occur, and failing that, from executive order, but only if he thinks he can get away with it.
