Some parts of California like LA only gets rain in February or March. Only for one month out of the entire year they get rain.

California can realistically support a maximumum population of about 10 million people from an environmental standpoint. It has about 40+ million , is bankrupt, and out of water. It is paradise lost.

What has always bothered me about gray-water systems is the chemicals that people use in their washers, etc. Many of these will not be filtered, including heavy metals, and while there is a warning not to water root veggies, some of these elements get taken up by plants and we consume them.

Washer water should be O.K. to water the lawn with as long as you don't plan on eating the grass.
