    Sniff, Sniff! You smell that?

    Daily Paul Liberty Forum

I smell fear!!! There is an awful lot of new faces around here telling us not to go 3rd party, that we are not going to win, that we need to figure out what Ron's "role" will be at the convention, etc.

I love it! Bring more please!!

The more scared trolls that come here and try to convince us we're not winning the more I KNOW we are!!!

I was waiting for this. The moment they attempted to address us directly. Tried to attack us from within. Tried to "let us down gently", you know... as a friend.

Man I tell you, I've worked my whole life with some of the most underhanded, game playing, smile as they kick you in the face people. I know all their tricks and this is my favorite. It's the one where the losing player tries to convince you that the game is over, you've already lost.

Simple fact. If this was true? They wouldn't be wasting their time telling you.

Stand tall folks! They are scared, we are winning!

Don't let them come between us or our beliefs we are entitled to them and tolerance for one another is our motto.

I love my DP family and I will see you all in Tampa!

    Evangelicals turn to Ron Paul

by Doug Wead on April 12, 2012

    Doug Wead

In the wake of Senator Rick Santorum’s departure from the presidential race there are signs that some evangelical leaders are refusing to jump on board the Mitt Romney bandwagon and are turning to Congressman Ron Paul instead. The Texas congressman spoke to several thousand people last night at the Will Rogers Auditorium in downtown Fort Worth but met quietly afterward with evangelical leaders.

Why Ron Paul? And why now, when the race is being declared “done” by the main stream media?

“Because you don’t give away your support without getting something in return,” says a former congressman who has been at the heart of the Christian right movement since its beginning. The longer that Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich stay in the race, the more likely that Romney will be forced to take a evangelical conservative as his vice presidential nominee.

Why not turn to Speaker Newt Gingrich, a Catholic who is a former Southern Baptist, with views that resonate with evangelicals?

“If we had to do it over again, we should have gone with Gingrich,” one of Santorum’s supporters told me today. But if we switch to Gingrich now we risk another drop out.” The former Speaker reportedly has debts of $ 4.2 million and has asked the Romney campaign for help in retiring them. Romney reportedly declined.

Meanwhile, the Ron Paul campaign, with cash on hand, has begun airing television ads in Texas and launches another moneybomb this weekend.

“I have one question for you,” one of the ministers reportedly said in the private meeting last night with Dr. Ron Paul, “Are you going to drop out? Or will you stay in all the way to Tampa?”

    “I’m in,” the Texan replied.

“That’s all I need to know,” the minister said.

The evangelical community began reaching out to Dr. Paul almost immediately after Senator Rick Santorum dropped out of the presidential race. Yesterday, Pastor Steven Andrew of USA Christian Ministries announced his support of the congressman, calling for a day of prayer and fasting. Andrew released a statement saying that, “After Santorum, Ron Paul is the most God-fearing Presidential candidate [and] the Republican party should endorse him.” Andrew said that “If Republicans don’t give a Christian candidate, Christians should look elsewhere – even to a third party.”

The Christian Wire service ran an article yesterday saying that Christians like the fact that Ron Paul “opposes tyranny, would cut the deficit and is prolife.”

A prominent television evangelist , speaking on the promise of anonymity, says that there was great disappointment in Rick Santorum’s withdrawal from the race. “No one faults a man for being a good father, and dropping out to take care of a child, but it hurts many of us very deeply. We were counting on him to lead our cause.”

Foster Freiss, the Wyoming billionaire who financed the Santorum Super Pac, has publicly said he will now help Mitt Romney.

Meanwhile, evangelical leaders are skeptical of any of their brethren who are now pledging to Romney. “They are trotting out the same old bought and paid for names, Richard Land and Jay Sekulow, and acting like they are new.” A Gingrich supporter who is quite vocal about his disappointment with the Santorum campaign suspects that evangelical leaders who supported Santorum, did so in return for donations to their nonprofit organizations. “They will now try to repeat the same thing with Romney and are already in the news laying the foundation for their appeal. It is appalling.”
But the rank and file evangelicals are not for sale and many seeking an end to the corruption in Washington see Ron Paul, a born again Christian, as their best voice of protest and the best way to force Romney to deal with them.

Steve Scheffler, president of the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition and a GOP national committeeman, is dumbfounded that the Romney’s campaign had so far made no effort to reach out to evangelicals.

“The presidential race is likely to be truly competitive,” Mr. Scheffler said, “in about a dozen states, including Iowa, and the Republicans will need to motivate people to volunteer at calling centers and put up signs. I don’t think there’s much room for error.”

Meanwhile, the Ron Paul people continue to fill the vacuum. In Iowa they are helping Scheffler and other Santorum people get re-elected to their positions. They can afford to be generous, they have everything else.

Says Brian Jacobs, a former consultant to Billy Graham and to evangelical leaders such as Kenneth Copeland, “Ron Paul is a born again Christian who is untainted by this corruption that has engulfed Washington. It should be no big surprise that evangelicals are discovering him.”

    Drockton Report:

New Romney Scandal a Major Campaign Threat

The problem with Mitt Romney is he appears to only do those things that will enhance his public image or personal fortunes. A guy like that will never let ethics stand in the way of a good payday. No matter who gets hurt. Take this latest scandal, which started on the Daily Beast and then was quickly removed.

"SALT LAKE CITY — A new report raises questions about one of Mitt Romney's sources of campaign money, who was also a key figure in the Olympic bribery scandal and the subsequent trial.

The Daily Beast reports the donor, New Jersey travel-company executive Sead Dizdarevic, became an immunized witness during the 2003 trial stemming from the Olympic bribery scandal.

He testified at the corruption trial of Salt Lake Olympic directors Tom Welch and David Johnson that he and his sister-in-law had delivered $131,000 in cash contributions to the defendants in hopes of securing an exclusive Olympic hospitality contract.

The report says after Romney took over running the Olympics, Dizdarevic was awarded an exclusive, elite travel package contract anyway. The Daily Beast says now Dizdarevic, his family, his company and his business associates have donated more than $1 million to Romney's campaign." (Source)

Romney controlled over 2 billion dollars in contracts as the "Savior of the Salt Lake Olympics". The money came from the U.S. taxpayer, and was assailed by such notables as John McCain for being an outrageous example of taxpayer abuse. Romney also had his eye on becoming POTUS long before the Olympics.

After the Olympic scandal became public, it appears that Romney cut his own little deal with Dizdarevic and still awarded him the monopoly on travel packages and event tickets. Undoubtedly, Dizdarevic, who was at the center of the scandal, should have been excluded based on that which Romney holds nearest and dearest, the appearance of gross impropriety.

The real question, of course, is when is Romney working for U.S. taxpayers and when is he working for his own self-enrichment? The POTUS has trillions of dollars in contracts he can influence through the use of Executive Orders and the bureaucracy. Why be a billionaire at other's expense when you can be a trillionaire?

Greed is just as big a part of Romney's persona as any other attribute, and greed leads to ethics scandals. Some view Dizdarevic as nothing more than a monopolistic Olympic ticket scalper, who looks at bribes as just the cost of doing business.

"Dizdarevic's base of operations is in Far Hills, N.J., and his companies have seven other offices around the world. Business has more than tripled since the Athens Olympics of 2004, Jet Set President Mark Lewis said.

The key to that success is simple: Dizdarevic knows tickets are the currency of Olympic travel. Olympic organizations sell tickets to the public for as much as $1,100 a seat at premier events. For those that he controls, Dizdarevic adds at least a 20 percent markup on top of face-value prices.

But the same tickets can generate a much higher profit margin when combined with hotels, transportation and meals to form expensive packages.

These packages are, for the most part, unregulated by Olympic officials, who allow Dizdarevic's companies to charge whatever he wants to sponsors, corporate VIPs and the general public.

Exercising his rights as an official Olympic "sponsor" for the host city's organizing committee and many other Olympic organizations around the globe, Dizdarevic buys a secret pot of tens of thousands of tickets that he controls and resells. He also sews up large numbers of the best hotel rooms in every host city — often years in advance.

His companies amassed 125,000 tickets for Vancouver and Whistler — about 8 percent of the 1.6 million total.

"We are the largest buyer of tickets to the Olympics," Lewis said, adding that the companies also control as many as 2,000 hotel rooms. Dizdarevic's dual roles as a ticket broker and travel-package provider give him convenient options: He can transfer tickets from one market to the other — in some cases, his critics say, artificially creating supply and demand according to his own whim.

"In effect, CoSport and Jet Set have a monopoly on legally valid tickets," says Moriarty, the Houston lawyer, who researched Olympic ticketing after getting scammed by another agency for Beijing tickets. "And what they seek to do is screw the consumers by bundling housing and tickets together to get more than what the housing is worth, and what the tickets are worth, because without them, you don't go." (Source)

Artificial demand drives prices up that much further, and thanks to Mitt Romney, the man who was at the center of the Salt Lake Olympic's scandal, was still permitted to make a significant profit from it. By accepting 1 million dollars from the man who some blame for the Salt Lake Scandal. Mitt Romney shows that he was never as interested in cleaning things up as he was in profitting from the mess.

Ron Paul will benefit as more scandals come to light. After all, he doesn't have any reported ethical lapses like the slick Mittster. If somehow Romney did win, we could expect more Congressional investigations into his other business dealings. After all, his greed has made him an easy target.

Will the Republican Party Expel Ron Paul in an Attempt to Stop the Revolution?

Posted on April 14, 2012 by Henry Shivley - OR

It seems everyone out here is ecstatic over the drive to impeach Obama, somehow believing this is all we need to do to save our Republic. It is discomforting seeing so called patriot websites and broadcasts pushing this unrealistic theory. Isn’t it a little late in the game for an impeachment? And even if such a

process were to go forward, could it be accomplished before the November election?
What if Obama is impeached right after being elected? Would this mean President Joe Biden and Vice-President Hillary Clinton for the next four years? Oh yeah, that would definitely stop the socialist invasion and reinstate the Republic. I think we had all better remember that Premier Obama has put the mechanisms in place to clamp down with his police state if he feels threatened in any way.

The Ron Paul campaign continues to thrive in spite of the deliberate propaganda blitz designed to dismiss his candidacy through a
complete denial of his existence. Even with Rick Santorum dropping from the race, Mitt Romney would have to win every state left in order to secure the nomination through the rules. This is a mathematical impossibility as Ron Paul will continue to win delegates right on through the primaries and caucuses.
This being said, a brokered GOP convention must be considered an absolute at this point. This is simple addition and subtraction, which apparently those is in the mainstream media are incapable of, as they are presently reporting a national contest between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, when Mitt Romney has in no way secured the GOP nomination.
The fact that neither the soviet socialist Democratic nor the national socialist Republican owned media will report this undeniable reality, proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are united in the cause of preserving the elitist socialist status quo.
The American people of the American race are going to continue to turn out for Dr. Paul. This being said, when June 26th rolls around and the primaries and caucuses are finished and Mitt Romney does not have the required number of delegates, what then? Will the propagandists stop reporting the national election as being between Romney and Obama? Wouldn’t this be a little embarrassing?
I have to believe that the Republican Party is getting ready to expel Dr. Paul. In reality this is the only way they can stop the brokered convention, and to suggest that they would not do this would fly in the face of the reality of the election fraud we have seen take place in literally every primary and caucus without exception.
Couple this with the fact that Russia has announced that it expects to be in a conflict with the United States by summer in retaliation for a US/Israeli invasion of Iran and/or Syria, well it would leave one to wonder if there will even be an election. Remember, under any emergency Barack Obama now has the authority to seize every resource in our country, and that includes us. Under such an authority, if we the people are seized by the government, could Obama not just simply say the election is suspended as a matter of national security?

We the people had better come to grips with the power this insurgency is attempting to seize. They would not have come this far if they had any intent of backing out. I believe they are scared, but as they are also criminally insane and the stakes are so high, they will make the attempt, in spite of the fact that they know they will be destroyed in the end.

God bless the Republic, we shall prevail.

The Road to Tampa : Ron Paul's "Stunning Upset" in Colorado

The Road to Tampa : Ron Paul's "Stunning Upset" in Colorado

    Reports the Denver Post:

Colorado Republicans are heading to their national convention with their most conservative delegation in years, as supporters for Ron Paul and Rick Santorum masterminded a stunning upset in electing delegates.

At the state convention in Denver today, Paul forces easily were the most vocal, adding their candidate’s name at almost every opportunity. When Republicans sang “Hey, hey, hey, good-bye” to President Barack Obama, Paul backers changed the words to “Hey, hey, hey, Ron Paul.”

The momentum was painful for Mitt Romney supporters, who had assumed when Santorum dropped out of the presidential race this week they’d have a much easier time in winning Colorado’s delegate and alternate seats to the Republican National Convention in Tampa in August…

“This is a revolution,” said Florence Sebern of Denver, an “unpledged” delegate who was wearing a Paul pin. She was part of the slate…

Matt Holdridge, the state director for Paul, read an e-mail from the candidate that began with “Wow!” in reference to the slate of supporters elected Friday…

Drockton: Ron Paul is the New "Anti-Romney" Candidate

Submitted by Patriotic on Sun, 04/15/2012 - 12:07
    Daily Paul Liberty Forum

Paul Drockton: Ron Paul the New Anti-Romney <---LINK

Mitt Romney, the negative campaigner, has his own problem with negatives it seems.

"Thirty-four percent hold a favorable opinion of Romney, the lowest for any leading presidential candidate in ABC/Post polls in primary seasons since 1984. His unfavorable score is higher than Obama ever has received; it’s been exceeded by just one other Republican candidate this year, Newt Gingrich, and by only one top candidate in 28 years, Hillary Clinton in 2008." (Source)

American voters just don't like the guy. In fact, as previous primary elections have shown, the majority of Republicans would vote for anyone but Romney. Ron Paul isn't just anyone. Indeed, it could be argued that Paul has been the real target of the Romney campaign all along.

I like this theme, "The road to Tampa" with reports of successes from all over, as well as lesson that we can all learn from. In one county in Michigan, our people took control over the district with a Ron Pauler as the new vice-chair and a majority in the district. This goal will be true for as many of the 14 districts as possible so we can send a clear message to the establishment....heck, we may even change the annual "Lincoln day dinner" to a Jefferson day dinner.

A Rick Santorum supporter visits a Ron Paul Rally

Submitted by RustyTX on Sat, 04/14/2012 - 19:12
    Texas

Here is a Facebook commentary from Adrian Murry, a Rick Santorum supporter and Ft. Worth tea party leader, who recently attended a Ron Paul event in Ft. Worth, TX:
...I have spoken before a lot of groups in the last several years as we have all grappled with the seeming dissolution of our country. I have half-jokingly said on many of these occasions that the other side doesn’t really have to defeat us politically, they just have to wait for us all to die off so they can implement their plans. My point has been that the greatest issue facing the conservative cause is a demographical one, a lack of diversity that will shortly render the conservative message irrelevant. Where are the youth? I and others have asked. Where are the people of color? Why doesn’t the conservative message resonate?

The answer to where they are could be found last night at the Will Rogers Auditorium. Often at political events there is a sense of excitement, anticipation, a certain buzz in the audience while waiting for the main event. Excitement, anticipation and buzz are weak and inadequate words to describe the pre-rally crowd last night. Energy is even inadequate. What undulated through the thousands who thronged outside before the doors opened last night was a kinetic power, the power of hope, the power of liberation, the power of anger at a system turned upside down, the power of liberation and, yes, the ultimate and emancipating power of freedom.

You had to be there to understand it.

Once inside, for the only time in my politically active life, I was transported to a world I had not seen before. There was enough energy in that room to power a skyscraper. Teenagers, college students, whites, Hispanics, African Americans, Asians, middle-aged, elderly, every racial, ethnic, socio-economic, cross cultural ingredient of the American melting pot was there. The auditorium was a cauldron of American citizens who understand and have grasped the true nature of the tyranny which has befallen this nation, a conflagration, if you will, of passion and anger and joy and determination. This is where the fire starts this time. The eruption when Mr. Paul took the stage was deafening...
    ...

What exactly is our national security securing? Certainly not our liberty. We have been sacrificing ever larger chucks of our liberty to the gods of security for decades now and in the interests of securing our liberty have given it all away. Go to an airport if you want to witness the loss of liberty in all its glorious humiliation. One wonders if we actually were taken over by another power and our Constitution dismantled what exactly could they do to restrict our movements, monitor our activities and control our actions that would be any worse or oppressive than what our own government is doing right now?

This part of Mr. Paul’s message, if I have interpreted it correctly, is what resonates with me. All the other things pale in contrast to our becoming a nation of slaves.
    ...

So what did I come away with last night? It can be captured in one picture. Before Mr. Paul was introduced, part of his family took the stage: his wife, one of his sons, a smattering of cousins, nieces and nephews. That picture tells us all we need to know. They are us. They weren’t pulled from central casting, exquisitely coifed and finely tailored, prepped and ready for the cameras. No. They are a family. They are us....

    ...

America is on the brink of flatlining.
Which logically only leads to one question:
Is there a doctor in the house?
Which logically only leads to one answer:

Romney will not have the nomination, even with 1,144 delegates, not even close

    Ron Paul 2012

Suppose for a second Romney secures more than 1,144 delegates before the national convention. Does that make him the official nominee? No it does not.

He only becomes the nominee after the first vote at the convention. He needs 1,144 delegate VOTES at the convention to become the nominee.

What everyone is afraid of is that they think if he secures 1,144 delegates its all over when its really not even close. They think that once you have a bound Romney delegate you are forced to vote for Romney. You dont.

If a good chunk of Romney delegates are really stealth Paul supporters they can all abstain on the first vote thus keeping Mittens from acheiving the nomination altogether and creating round two - aka brokered convention.

Once we have that its an easy victory.

Right now our main focus should be to make sure all stealth paul supporters who are Romney delegates know that they need to abstain for the first round.

We can still very much win this. We just need a small chunk of them to abstain and we have a brokered convention. Romney will need way more than 1,144 delegates to win.

Romney will not have the nomination, even with 1,144 delegates, not even close | Peace . Gold . Liberty | Ron Paul 2012
