SHOCKING: Obamacare Bad News Being Hidden Until AFTER the Mid-Terms

Obamacare has been taking some hits lately, but the worst news won’t hit HealthCare.gov, the online portal where millions of Americans must by health insurance, until AFTER the elections next month, as reported by the Associated Press on Wednesday. Administration officials told the AP premiums hikes, sorry information won’t go up on the site “until the second week of November,” which conveniently falls after the November 4th election.
“Insurers say one big challenge for next year will involve millions of returning customers,” the AP reports. “It’s not really a technology issue, but a time crunch that also coincides with the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.” Oh, and severely high rate hikes.
“Existing customers who do nothing will be automatically re-enrolled in their current plan as of Jan. 1,” the AP continues. “But they will receive this year’s subsidy amount, which could be lower than what they’d be entitled to for 2015. And that could mean sticker shock over their new monthly premiums.” Remember, there have been rulings over the constitutionality of subsidies and which states can actually give them. Many may find they no longer have them.
Did you finally get a raise this year? Subsidies you may have had will be cut. Those who report less income compared to a year ago might not qualify for private health insurance at all and could be forced into Medicaid.
Then there’s the rate hikes, which may have increased dramatically from last year. Reports indicate that the most popular low cost plans also experienced the steepest rate hikes. But how high we won’t know until conveniently after the election.
So please, tell all your friends on Obamacare they can be guaranteed a rate hike and subsidy loss. Now, be sure to tell them that voting for a Republican or conservative will mean that Obamacare can be repealed. There is no fix.

It's not hidden and it's happening before the election, according to FOX NEWS.

More than a dozen states plan to cancel health care policies not in compliance with ObamaCare

    By Jim Angle
    Published October 09, 2014 FoxNews.com

NOW PLAYINGMany ObamaCare cancellations expected just before midterms
More than a dozen states plan to cancel health care policies not in compliance with ObamaCare in the coming weeks, affecting thousands of people just before the midterm elections.

"It looks like several hundred thousand people across the country will receive notices in the coming days and weeks," said Jim Capretta of the Ethics and Public Policy Center.

The policies are being canceled because states that initially granted a reprieve at the request of President Obama are no longer willing to do so.

In coming weeks, 13 states and the District of Columbia plan to cancel such policies, which generally fall out of compliance with the Affordable Care Act because they don’t offer the level of coverage the law requires.

Virginia will be hardest hit, with 250,000 policies expected to be canceled.

And because federal law requires a 60-day notice of any plan changes, voters will be notified no later than November 1, right before the Nov. 4 midterms.

Many of those forced out of their current plans and into ObamaCare may not be able to keep their doctors. They also could face higher deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses, making ObamaCare an election issue on the eve of voting.

Obama had originally unequivocally promised that underhis health care plan, everyone could keep their doctors and plans.

In 2009, he told the American Medical Association, "If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what."

The president later was forced to admit that any plan without the additional benefits required under ObamaCare faced cancellation.

But that unleashed a nasty political backlash, forcing him to back down and call for states and insurers to extend those policies forthree more years.

Some said he didn’t have much choice. "There were some five or six million people who were at stake here and the federal exchange was in no condition to even process a few hundred thousand people much less millions," said Joe Antos of the American Enterprise Institute.

Many states flatly refused to extend and now comes the new round of states that plan to cancel policies.

States to Cancel Extended Health Care Plans not Compliant with Obamacare

In a few weeks, Americans will be going to the polls for the 2014 mid-term elections. It is a race to determine which party will gain control of the Senate. Many issues are coupled to this election; as according to Obama, his policies are on the ballot when individuals are choosing either a Democratic or Republican candidate. Along with the immigration and "amnesty" issues, one can add Obamacare as thirteen states and the District of Columbia are slated to cancel health insurance plans that are not compliant with Obamacare.

Federal law requires a 60 day notice of plan changes which means voters will get their notice in these states around November 1, 2014 – days before the election. These states, now having to cancel insurance plans, originally were granted a reprieve by Obama to extend current plans for three years, but are now not willing to keep those plans through an additional extension. According to the Fox News report, Virginia will be the hardest hit with as many as 250,000 individuals receiving plan cancellation notices.
By now, everyone in America knows the lies told by Obama on this "Affordable" Care Act. Liberals, who have supported this atrocity, will soon begin to feel the pinch of the disaster they so wholeheartedly supported. Of course, none of these "extensions" were the fault of the federal government or this administration.
According to Joe Antos of the American Enterprise Institute, Obama didn't have much choice but to extend current plans.
"There were some five or six million people who were at stake here and the federal exchange was in no condition to even process a few hundred thousand people much less millions," Antos contended.
Say what? Before the implementation date of October 1, 2013, the federal and state governments had three years to implement a fully functioning exchange to include websites, properly trained and vetted staff, plan coverage details, subsidy regulations, and complete networks. But, as everything with this administration goes, the take-over of the health insurance industry was done using a "fly by the seat of the pants at night" method. Because this piece of legislation was so atrocious, not to mention unconstitutional, it was passed in the middle of the night, behind closed doors, without being read and without one Republican casting a vote in favor of it. But, the administration and Congress is not to blame for the Obamacare debacle. It is the website's fault for not being able to handle five or six million enrollees. Thank goodness it didn't have to handle the 20 -30 million uninsured individuals in America, which was this law's "target" group.
After its passage, Americans were lied to by their own president and government about keeping their plans and doctors, health care insurance being affordable and everyone having access to quality care. Democrats are now trying to separate themselves from Obama and his comment that his policies are on the ballot as many Americans are against them, such as amnesty and Obamacare. Every Democrat would like the American public to forget the unilateral changes to Obamacare issued illegally by executive fiat.
What some individuals have a difficult time understanding is that health care insurance does not guarantee health care nor does it guarantee payment. Both were premises this administration used to promote an unconstitutional, atrocious law. The thundering oration of "mandatory health insurance for all" was heard as "free health care for all." Nothing is ever free and the cost comes in many forms.
With part of the employer mandate slated to roll out on January 1, 2015, and these states not extending non-compliant insurance plans, more individuals will have another issue to mull over before casting their vote in the midterms. It is issues like Obamacare, immigration, amnesty, Benghazi, the IRS scandal, Fast and Furious and a host of others that need to be in the forefront of voters when it comes to casting their vote in the midterm. Voters need to know where the candidates stand on the issues and how the candidate's stance will affect America's future should they be elected.
As has been pointed out before, some contend that any information relayed or any opinion voiced on Obamacare is "b****ing and moaning." Some have commented that we should just get over it and move on. However, when this government mandated that every American "purchase" a product, their product over products already in place, this government became tyrannical. Regardless of whether someone believes it or not, this government removed the "freedom of choice" in regards to health insurance coverage telling Americans you must now have a plan that covers services you may not need or ever use – services determined by the government, not the individual.
Many will say this "law" helps those who could not afford insurance in the past and those of us who are against it just don't want people to have health care. All individuals need health care to maintain a level of good health, diagnose and treat illnesses and diseases and provide comfort measures in the face of terminal illness. What individuals do not need is the government mandating any type of health care insurance and removing an individual's choice when it comes to health care. If this piece of legislation was just about providing health care insurance to those individuals who were uninsured, why was the entire health care insurance industry affected? What was wrong with current plans in place for those that were insured through their employer, individual plans or self-insured programs? What was wrong with working within the current framework to provide more affordable insurance for everyone?
The truth is that nothing was wrong with those plans or working within the current framework. The government needed every individual in America it could force on the "government plan" that is Obamacare in order to pay for those individuals who could not afford health insurance in the first place. It was a wealth redistribution plan along with a plan to control what health care each individual in America received based on age, productivity, cost of treatment, also known as health care rationing. It remains a form of control over the people. Interestingly enough, those that still cannot afford the health care insurance, even with subsidies paid for by everyone else, will be slapped with a "tax" by the Internal Revenue Service for lack of having health care insurance – a tax that will increase yearly.
As it stands now, individuals who previously had health care insurance are looking to be without and "forced" onto an Obamacare compliant plan, Medicaid or to be uninsured paying a "tax" collected by the Gestapo Internal Revenue Service if they cannot afford the exorbitant plan prices coupled with deductibles. Health care information privacy goes out the window as the Internal Revenue Service – an agency who is not connected to health care at all except for "tax" assessment and premium collection – can now access an individual's health care record. With the past track record of the IRS, all Americans have seen how "honest" this agency has been in its relentless pursuit of Obama's political opposition and what they term as "political dissidents."
As the executive fiats expire, more and more individuals and businesses will begin to feel the full impact that is Obamacare. Right now, Americans are witnessing the tip of the iceberg. Many will comply placing themselves in financial dire straits. Others will choose to pay the yearly tax until they can no longer afford it. A few will refuse all together in an act of civil disobedience and face the full wrath of the IRS. Either way, the government gets money that most assuredly will not go into improving health care or assisting individuals with the purchase of health care insurance.
Stating facts and deducing events are not "b****ing and moaning." It is trying to wake more Americans to the horror that is Obamacare and events that threaten to move this country into more of a communist style of government – a government where everyone but the very wealthy lose and inequality under the law is the standard. It will be moving Americans into the "rule of man" instead of the "rule of law" based on the laws of nature and nature's God. To be honest, Americans are seeing some "inequality" under the law now.
At this point, America is stuck with Obamacare until states nullify it or Congress repeals it – neither of these cases are likely or it would have already been done. And, there doesn't seem to be any interest by Republicans to repeal it in the future. The best Americans can hope for is some sort of reform; and, every American knows what that term means in Washington.
So, liberals can take comfort in the fact that "they won." It was a victory in a battle that no American knew was being fought – Senate Democrats morphed a House bill regarding taxes into Obamacare. However, no victory is without a cost; and, as has been witnessed in the past, liberals are more than willing to incur the cost as long as someone else pays the bill.
As long as this atrocious piece of legislation exists and tramples on everyone's freedom, the presentation of facts and deducing events, or as liberals say, the "b****ing and moaning" will continue. So, to all liberals, in your own words, "Get over it."

Nonprofit health insurance pioneer closes its doors due to Obamacare costs

Freelancers told customers Sept. 30 that their coverage would end Dec. 31.

(iStock) Freelancers Insurance Company, the pioneering nonprofit health insurer that was once hailed as a model for the Affordable Care Act, is closing its doors because of the high cost of complying with Obamacare regulations.
The New York nonprofit announced Sept. 30 that it would have to raise premiums 14 percent to comply with Obamacare regulations. Federal officials had granted a special one-year waiver to Freelancers in 2013 to meet the new rules. The waiver expires Dec. 31.
The cost of regulatory compliance might not be the only factor in Freelancers' sudden demise. The latest rankings from the New York Department of Financial Services, the state’s insurance regulator, showed that Freelancers continued a multiyear trend of having one of the lowest consumer satisfaction ratings in the state.
Sara Horowitz, Freelancers' founder, has been under congressional scrutiny as a result of a 2012 decision by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to award $340 million in Obamacare funding to a related organization she created to establish health insurance co-ops in New York, New Jersey and Oregon. The Horowitz-backed trio were among 24 co-ops authorized by Obamacare to compete with private insurers under a $2 billion appropriation.

Horowitz founded Freelancers Insurance as a nonprofit health insurance company in 2008, promising it could compete with for-profit insurers. She said Freelancers would offer great coverage at low cost.
She had won a MacArthur Foundation "genius grant" in 1999 and convinced the Rockefeller Foundation and other liberal foundations to give her $7 million in grants to start Freelancers Insurance. Private investors provided another $10 million, according to the New York Times.
Jaclyn Kessel, a vice president with the BerlinRosen communications firm and a spokeswoman for Freelancers, declined to disclose the extent of the company’s financial losses or how the company would compensate its private investors.
But New York state records show Freelancers performed badly throughout its six-year life span. DFS ranked Freelancers the state's third-worst insurer in terms of consumer complaints among 45 commercial insurance carriers in 2013.
This was an improvement over DFS rankings in 2011 and 2012, when Freelancers was ranked at the bottom of all commercial health insurance carriers in New York.
Freelancers told customers Sept. 30 that their coverage would end Dec. 31. The company said it would automatically transfer existing members to another insurer, Empire BlueCross BlueShield.
"When we looked at the future of our plans in the new healthcare reform landscape, we quickly realized we could offer benefits and coverage at better value to freelancers by partnering with an insurance carrier with size and scale like Empire. We estimate that rates would be 14 percent higher had we not formed this partnership," Kessel said.
DFS ranks Empire lower than Freelancers. Empire has been criticized for “narrow networks” that exclude many doctors and hospitals.
Regulators found that Freelancers was reversed 67 percent of the time when a customer appealed a coverage decision to an outside authority. It was the highest reversal rate of any commercial insurer in New York.
Customers filed a large number of grievances against Freelancers. Consumers can file a complaint if an insurer refuses to refer a patient to a medical specialist or if there are disagreements over benefit coverage.
Of the 176 grievances filed by consumers against Freelancers in 2013, the company was forced to reverse itself in 48 cases, a reversal rate of 27 percent, according to regulators. It was the fifth-highest reversal rate among all commercial carriers in New York.
It is fairly rare for consumers to file grievances against health insurers. In 2013, for example, 27 insurers reported that none of their customers filed grievances.
Disgruntled Freelancer consumers, however, have gone public with their complaints. So many consumers were upset with poor Freelancer service in 2008 that they created a weblog named Upset Freelancers Union Members (upsetfu.blogspot.com).
Hundreds of disgruntled consumers aired their complaints on the website, and many canceled their insurance plans. The company’s customers complained about poor service, restrictive medical coverage and an unresponsive call center.
The fact that Freelancers is now closing its doors due to the cost of complying with Obamacare is “completely ironic,” said Sally Pipes, president of the Pacific Research Institute, a San Francisco think tank. “In the end, the Affordable Care Act was actually harmful to Freelancers.”
Pipes, a Canadian with expertise in healthcare policy, speculated that the law’s requirement that insurers provide a massive number of new benefits doomed the company.
“Now it’s the Affordable Care Act that’s putting them out of business because they can’t comply and provide affordable coverage,” Pipes said.
When the company realized it could not offer affordable insurance that met the standards imposed by Obamacare, Kessel said, Freelancers officials took six months to find a suitable partner.
But Kessel did not explain why the company did not select Horowitz's Health Republic of New York, which received $265 million in federal Obamacare funds to help create the New York co-op.
Horowitz was a colleague of Illinois state Sen. Barack Obama when the two were members of the board of directors of Demos, a liberal think tank funded by George Soros.
Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, told the Washington Examiner that there were “serious questions” about the activities of Horowitz’s political arm, the Freelancers Union, which lobbied for the $340 million in Obamacare funding it used to create its health insurance co-ops. Issa said he was concerned about the coziness between Horowitz and the Obama administration on the loan award.
“The committee’s oversight of Obamacare raised serious questions about Freelancers Union and its participation in the Obamacare co-op program as a way to promote its political goals,” Issa said. “Freelancers received millions of taxpayer dollars through cozy contacts with the Obama administration and extensive lobbying of CMS. The American taxpayers deserve better.”
Horowitz was appointed to the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in 2012 despite having no experience in the banking industry.
