WalMart reportedly has stopped selling ammunition ahead of the Obama administration’s anticipated gun control recommendations to Congress -- and uncertainty over what new laws may be coming.

According to the Investment Watch blog, WalMart Corporation will no longer place new ammunition orders pending “the upcoming decision on the Second Amendment.”
A customer stood with a WalMart employee as a call was made to the corporate office.
WalMart headquarters told the employee the following:
“As of right now WalMart is not going to be making any new orders of ammo because of the upcoming decision on the Second Amendment. As of right now we are unsure of what new legislation might be coming, and because of this, we are suspending new orders.
“We will continue to sell what is already in stock in stores and at our distribution centers, but any new orders will not be shipped until the issue is resolved.”
Investment Watch blog does not provide a link to a WalMart statement but urges customers to contact the corporate headquarters at 1-800-925-6278 to confirm the decision.
You can listen to a recorded customer service call here.

Waiting for “the upcoming decision on the Second Amendment.” !?!? That is outrageous. And Walmart is taking steps for laws that have not been changed yet? What the hell is that?

The blogosphere has exploded with outrage in response to news that Walmart is suspending ammunition sales in anticipation of the Obama administration’s gun-control recommendations to Congress – but the retail giant tells WND the reports aren’t true.
“That information is inaccurate,” said Ashley Hardie, a spokeswoman located at Walmart’s corporate headquarters in Bentonville, Ark.

WND then asked whether the retail chain is cutting back on orders of ammunition.
“No,” Hardie said. “We’re continuing to serve our customers as we have in the past.”
She said Walmart’s ammunition sales policy has not changed, even amid talk of gun-control legislation in Washington, D.C.
The uproar began when the InvestmentWatch blog posted a story headlined, “Breaking & confirmed: Walmart is not going to order any more ammo.”
CNS News cited the report, and talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh mentioned it during his Monday show. CNS has since removed the report from its own site.
According to the InvestmentWatch report, a man claimed to have visited his local Walmart and noticed the store was “out of almost every kind of ammo.”
“The manager I talked to said they had not heard anything, but she tried to order some .223 as I was standing there. She said the order was being rejected by the corporate office. Said she had never had that happen.”
He added, “She called corporate as I was standing there. And was told this, ‘As of right now Walmart is not going to be making any new orders of ammo because of the upcoming decision on the Second Amendment.’ Said, ‘As of right now we are unsure of what new legislation might be coming, and because of this, we are suspending new orders. We will continue to sell what is already in stock in stores and at our distribution centers, but any new orders will not be shipped until the issue is resolved.’
“So after they run out, there will be no restocking until Obama makes his decision. How’s that change working out for you now?”
The InvestmentWatch posting also included an audio recording which was purportedly taken as a man called Walmart’s customer service line.
“I went to my local Walmart to go get some ammunition, and they said they were out,” the caller said. “I was looking for .223. Are you all still going to be selling ammunition? The lady seemed confused about whether they were going to get any more in stock.”
The person claiming to be a Walmart representative can be heard saying, “You know, there is going to be a new policy change, according to the federal gun control act, the new law that the president’s getting ready to enact.”
The caller then asked, “Well, you don’t have any idea what that says, do you? Is that saying you’re no longer going to carry ammunition?”
The man responded, “To be honest with you, I don’t know what the policy is going to be, but I know they, but I was told they’re going to be reviewing it.”
WND has not been able to verify whether the man on the call was, in fact, a customer service representative for Walmart.
Meanwhile, WND reader Sam Singleton said his local Walmart in Myrtle Beach, S.C., has a very short supply of ammunition. According to Singleton, the store claimed it had received a letter from corporate headquarters on the issue.
“The clerk said they only had what was left on the shelf and that there was a ‘hard lock’ on the reorders. She said they hadn’t been getting any replenishment and that just today the store had received a letter from the corporate office stating that they would not be able to order any replenishment of ammunition, other than some for shotguns.
“She said they were not stocking anything that could be used in an ‘assault-type rifle.’ I said, ‘This is ammunition I use for practice,’ and she said they were just told there was a ‘hard lock’ on ammo sales.”
Another WND reader, Patrick Clemons, reported a similar experience today after he visited the Walmart in Folsom, Calif.
Earlier today, the CNS News report on the story had been linked by WND. Under the posting, more than 400 concerned readers had commented under the post.
The following are some of those comments:

    • If I cannot buy ammo at Walmart, my wife can do no shopping there at all. That is not arbitrary, that is the rule of my home.

    • Sounds like what happens in a dictatorship doesn’t it?

    • It saddens me to see this happen. It is clearly a first step toward a socialistic takeover of our once great nation. Buy ammo where you can and seriously consider learning to reload your own. You don’t have to stop selling weapons if there is no ammunition to fire.

    • Walmart is mainstream, and the sales of ammo there are as American as apple pie.

    • I believe Walmart was threatened.

    • If Walmart knuckles under to the administration on this, I won’t set foot in the place again. I hope Sam Walton figures the Chinese will support his enterprise.

    • TRAITORS! Ban Wally’s World.

    • Boycott Walmart, dump their stock.

    • The cowards capitulate in the face of tyranny. Remember this and spend your money accordingly.

OBAMA PICKS WOMEN FROM MORGAN STANLEY, WAL-MART FOR SENIOR POSITIONS

by MARY CHASTAIN 14 Jan 2013

In response to criticism from both sides of the aisle for only appointing men to cabinet positions for his second term, President Barack Obama is now considering two women for senior economic positions. He wants Ruth Porat, chief financial officer at Morgan Stanley, for Deputy Secretary of the Treasury and Wal-Mart Foundation President Sylvia Mathews Burwell for budget director.

That is right. He is choosing two women from two companies his administration demonized throughout his first term.

Last November, George Soros and his group MoveOn lead a huge online movement calling for a strike by Wal-Mart employees on Black Friday.

SEIU joined in and persuaded workers to strike on the biggest shopping day of the year. In 2009 the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission backed a suit against Wal-Mart by telling a court to allow a multiple women to sue the company as a group. Wal-Mart said doing this “would violate the company’s right to defend itself against each worker’s claims before a jury.”

Meanwhile, President Obama and the left have never kept their dislike for banks hidden from the public. This administration is constantly trying to regulate and punish them for wanting to make a profit. In an appearance on Jay Leno, President Obama once again placed all the blame on banks for the economic crisis. That same month, the ACLU filed a lawsuit against Morgan Stanley. They said the company told lenders to give risky mortgages to African-American borrowers.

While it is great President Obama is offering a little of diversity, his hypocrisy needs to be pointed out. Choosing candidates from two companies hated by progressives shows how empty his words are.

Report: Walmart Forbids Store Managers From Ordering More Ammunition

    M. Frank Drover The Daily Sheeple January 13th, 2013

As gun and ammunition sales across the United States skyrocket and store shelves are emptied of just about anything related to weapons and accessories that may soon be banned by the Federal Government, some of America’s largest and most well known corporations are starting ...to take sides.

Audio of someone calling in to Walmart - Upload Audio | Listen to Audio | WalMart Federal Gun Control | YourListen

Reports have been streaming in over the last few weeks indicating that retail giant Walmart may be standing against the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and that their corporate headquarters has taken steps to restrict the availability of ammunition.

The following is an alert sent by a reader to SteveQuayle.com:

I’ve read various postings on message boards claiming local Wal-Mart managers told customers they are no longer permitted to reorder ammo inventory. I can confirm this is true.

I went to Wal-Mart today in our town to buy ammo. The case was almost empty. I asked the store manager when new supplies will arrive.

He said, “Corporate headquarters notified all local managers that we can not order any more ammo until further notice.”

Do Wal-Mart executives know that Piers Morgan doesn’t shop at Wal-Mart, but millions of middle class American families are the source of their wealth? What happens to Wal-Mart’s earnings if Middle Class America boycotts Wal-Mart for caving in to Obama?

I’ve always suspected the gun grabbers would cut off ammo supplies first. They’re doing it now. Next, they will use strong arm tactics to shut down ammo manufacturers. You’ll have a gun, but no bullets to load in it. It’s only the beginning of the communist agenda. This plan was prepared a long time ago. The commies are pushing hard and fast. They plan to overrun a confused and bewildered public that can’t fathom that a genuine communist takeover is underway.

Last week, Bank of America chose to stand with the anti-gun movement when they froze the funds of a licensed online gun retailer, reportedly telling the owner of American Spirit Arms that he, “should not be selling guns and parts on the internet.”

Supporters of the Second Amendment, however, are speaking with their wallets, having lambasted Bank of America for their actions, with many claiming they were closing their accounts immediately.

When one of the largest online sporting goods stores in the world, Cheaper Than Dirt, suspended the sale of firearms after mounting pressure from anti-gun groups and the government, thousands of comments from disgruntled customers – many of them now ex-customers – overwhelmed the company’s Facebook page.

So, while we wait for the emperor to display his new clothes, the American consumer can't a) expect retail institutions that we have supported and made thrive in this country to continue to supply those items that we demand, and b) expect our financial institutions WHO HOLD OUR MONEY to allow us to spend OUR MONEY on certain items that we need or desire.

We, as a free nation and people, have crossed a line and the consequences will not be pretty.
