Worse than Eric Holder – Meet Tom Perez

Pamela Geller 14 hours ago

Longtime Atlas readers are very familiar with the Muslim Brotherhood lapdog Tom Perez. In yet another act of stunning subversion, Obama trolls the bottom of the uber-left political cesspool to fill his key cabinet positions, in order to impose his radical anti-freedom agenda on the nation. As Assistant Attorney General at the Justice Department, Tom Perez had a shameful record of pro-sharia initiatives and craven accommodation to Islamic supremacists at the DoJ.

Perez has long sought to impose sharia blasphemy laws under the guise of hate speech laws into the US. He refused to answer questions whether DoJ would advance a proposal to criminalize speech against any religion. He refused to commit to the House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on the Constitution that it would never advance a law criminalizing the right to criticize any religion.
In a FOIA request I made to the DoJ on collusion between the Department of Justice and the Muslim Brotherhood groups, the documents I received show the DoJ operating as errand boy and de facto legal arm of Islamic supremacists in America. The servile demeanor of the Civil Rights Division officials and the demanding condescension of Muslim Brotherhood operatives is astonishing.
Letters from then-Assistant Attorney General Tom Perez tout all the DOJ's actions on behalf of Muslims, including a suit against the city of Lilburn, Georgia for resisting the expansion of a mosque and amicus participation calling for dismissal of a suit brought by Murfreesboro, Tennessee patriots against an Islamic supremacist mosque there.
2012 Photo WASHINGTON: Muslims in America are here to stay, says Assistant US Attorney General for Civil Rights Thomas Perez. Addressing a large Muslim gathering in the US capital, Perez also pledged to “use every tool at our disposal” to ensure equal opportunities for all Muslims living in America.

My confidential source tells me that Thomas Perez, the Department of Justice official, "has been present at Muslim conventions both as a panelist and as a speaker. During a question and answer session, a Muslim audience member was hostile, and Perez literally cringed and promised that the DOJ would do better. He also asked that more Muslims join the DOJ – that he would look forward to working with them."
Pamela Geller's commitment to freedom from jihad and Sharia shines forth in her books
Perez gave extraordinary access to Muslim Brotherhood groups and was touted by these Hamas proxies for all his actions on behalf of Muslims, including a suit against the city of Lilburn, Georgia for resisting the expansion of a mosque and amicus participation calling for dismissal of a suit brought by Murfreesboro, Tennessee patriots against an Islamic
supremacist mosque there. (Documents here).

Assistant Attorney General Perez acknowledged that since 9/11, discrimination against Muslims had become more mainstream, such as arson attacks on and protests against mosques, burning of holy books and refusing building permits to Islamic centres.

There were also discrimination against Muslims in work places and Muslim kids at schools, he added.

[...]Acknowledging that employment discrimination against Muslims had become "a huge problem," Perez said the Department of Justice was determined to overcome this problem.

Recently, the department settled a suit in New York City, forcing the employers to provide equal opportunities to Muslim Americans.

"People should never be forced to choose between their jobs and their faiths," Perez said. "We will also continue to fight bullying of Muslim kids in schools. We also have a message for those who tell Muslims to go home, 'this is their home, the United States of America.'"

Perez said the Department of Justice acted promptly when it heard that an FBI and a DOJ training facilities were stereotyping Muslims and ensured that "we do not repeat these mistakes."
Further, Perez is the subject of a "report that found he gave incomplete testimony on the controversial decision to drop charges against members of the New Black Panther Party."
Perez's division has also sued famed Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona's Maricopa County for what the Justice Department has said was racial profiling of Latinos in his border county. That case was one of 17 probes of police and sheriff's departments across the country, the most cases in the division's history. (Washington Times)

In his last confirmation battle in 2009, Perez's nomination was held up for several months by Sen Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., over his ties to immigration advocacy groups. Perez was eventually confirmed, 72-22, with strong Republican support. Bought and paid for with jihad dollars, no doubt.
The report challenged testimony Perez gave to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, when he claimed in 2010 that no political leadership was involved in the
decision to dismiss three of the four defendants in a lawsuit the George W. Bush administration brought against the New Black Panther Party. The high-profile case involved allegations of voter intimidation outside a Philadelphia polling place in the 2008 election. (here)
That case was won when the DoJ dropped it. More on the Black Panther case of voter intimidation here. Perez is an enemy of the state.
Thought Eric Holder Was Bad? Meet Tom Perez
By J. Christian Adams
Numerous publications close to the White House have reported that Labor Secretary Tom Perez has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Attorney General Eric Holder. That Perez has a documented and repeating history of dishonesty, racialism and radicalism shows that this administration feels unrestrained by conventional political wisdom. That the White House is dropping his name before an election should demonstrate to every Republican that Obama is fundamentally transforming politics in corrosive ways that the GOP seems ill-equipped to contain.

So who is Tom Perez?

Perez ran for Maryland Attorney General in 2006. But his campaign ended when he was thrown off the ballot for the embarrassing reason that he didn't practice law.

To Democrats, Perez is the charming, articulate and politically savvy Secretary of Labor. He is the President's point man on Hispanic and labor issues. But to anyone objective who has paid close attention, Perez is a menace to the rule of law in ways that make Eric Holder seem like a kitty cat.

Much of Holder's dirty work over the last six years was done by Tom Perez.

Perez has a record of duplicity and dishonesty, sometimes even under oath. As Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights under Holder, Perez famously set up a parallel email system so he could conduct his most controversial business using email accounts unreachable by federal law, or even a Justice Department Inspector General. On these private email accounts, he conducted some his dirtiest dealings, like shaking down St. Paul Minnesota to ensure that the Supreme Court wouldn't get to hear an appeal that might invalidate some of the prized racial set asides this administration cherishes.

But his dealings with St. Paul were very small potatoes compared to everything else he has done.
