    PLEDGE

If elected or re-elected to the US Congress, I will oppose any form of Amnesty or path to citizenship for illegal aliens, including Comprehensive Immigration Reform which would turn millions of illegal immigrants into voters thus destroying future borders of America. I will use the full power of my office, including impeachment if necessary, to insure the Executive Branch secures America's border immediately and begins to adequately enforce the existing immigration and border laws of the United States, which were enacted by Congress at the behest of America's citizenry. I understand that the failure of the Executive Branch to secure our borders and enforce existing immigration laws is depriving all Americans of a Republican form of government and depriving our states of protection from invasion as mandated by the US Constitution. I intend to use the power of Congress to immediately remedy this problem that is costing many Americans their jobs, wages, taxpayer resources, property, security, and sometimes their very lives.

    So help me God,
    Mike Crane

    Illegal Immigration

Illegal immigration threatens our national sovereignty. While we are a nation of immigrants, past immigrants have come here legally, to join us and become Americans. This means embracing our culture, our language, our values, and our laws. To get control of our illegal immigration problem, we must immediately do three things.

First, we must secure the border using a combination of physical barriers, electronic surveillance, and personnel to stop anyone from crossing the border illegally. The fastest and best way to secure the border is through a major deployment of personnel across the southern border while actively erecting physical barriers where needed. We must stop the flow of illegal immigrants.

Second, we must immediately stop giving aid and benefits to those here illegally. The benefits that this country has to offer must be reserved for citizens and those here legally. This will remove the incentive for people to come here illegally, and those here already will have less incentive to stay.

Third, we must enforce the rule of law in our country. It is the direct responsibility of the federal government to protect and defend our borders. It is time that the government stepped up and did its job. If illegal immigrants are encountered at any level of government, immigration laws must be enforced.

After these actions are taken, many illegal immigrants will self deport. When deciding how to handle illegals who stay here, we must keep several things in mind. We have a path to citizenship in our country, it is called legal immigration. For those who come here illegally, there cannot be an alternative path to citizenship. Illegals should be subject to the full extent of our laws just as all American citizens are. An alternative path, or any form of "amnesty," would undermine our current laws and encourage more illegal behavior. We must preserve and enforce our laws and maintain our sovereignty. I will oppose any legislation that creates an alternative path to citizenship or "amnesty" for illegal aliens.
