    ACTION ALERT FROM W

I called Sen. DeMint's ofc. as suggested. Inquired whether organizing opposition such as was done with S. 1639 to delay the DREAM ACT vote was a possibility. His staff member told me they were in the process of doing that now. She said emphatically, "We DO NOT want this act to pass!"

Sen. Iskasson's (R-GA) Wash. office told me he will oppose the DREAM ACT.

I called both offices and Obama and Durbin are both voting "yes". Of course I let them know in no uncertain terms that hell would freeze over before me or anyone I know would ever vote for them.

    Anyway . . . . . No surprise there.

    Moving right along . . . . .

    Fantastic!

I'll call both Senators as well, get more confirmation and thank them for the vote.

Called and left opinion with Dorgan's office (DC).
The staffer was obviously busy, but did answer quickly.

Asked staffer what Dorgan's position was on DREAM Act and got no meaningful info in response.

I think he needs more pressure to help sway him onto our side. Once he is a solid 'No', other Dems will see that and will have less reservations about staking out a similar stance.
