Thread: NC Taylor's 'No' Vote on Free Trade Pact Goes Uncounted

So Charles Taylor did vote. This sucks!!

Delay, you better order an investigation and count Charles Taylor's vote.

MY understanding is if Taylors vote had counted and JoAnn Davis had acutally voted no which she planned to do, the ovte would have been 216-216 and would have failed.

I know it sounds out there but I wonder now if Ms Davis wasnt delayed on purpose by someone. I dont put anything past these people.

There needs to be an investigation and CAFTA needs to be repealed.

They have had 'held-over voting' before, so why was it not allowed this time, considering the circumstances. Bush is a big-fat crook! He took the American people and SLAPPED US ALL IN THE FACE!

The vote needs to be "rescinded". CAFTA is not law yet so it doesn't need to be repealed. It won't be law until the US Senate votes it again. The House of Representatives need to rescind their vote and vote again without any funny business or fish sticks floating around our Representatives.

Here is what I heard on the radio today: Congresswoman Davis was told that she could have a one on one with Bush at the Boy Scout jamboree. Bush stayed on the house floor to ‘encourage’ yes votes, meanwhile Davis was at the jamboree being told to wait a little while longer until it was too late for her to get back and vote.

Sounds like she was set up as well. All the papers around here are badmouthing Taylor as well for his NV. I guess that is what you get for going against the GOP.

Oh....how silly....she should have known she was being set up. THEY DID this on purpose. That's two votes tampered with...one vote not counted due to a "glich" and one vote held "hostage" at a Jamboree.

CAFTA did not legally pass the House of Representatives due to undue influence, fish sticks, tampering, and abuse of power by the Executive Branch and the GOP.

CAFTA can not pass the House of Representatives under these conditions.

Lets prepare to kill it in the US Senate but we need the Anti-CAFTA committee to start drawing papers now; introducing a slew of resolutions rescinding this vote; ordering investigations; and raising HELL!!

Remember, this Treaty is binding on the United States and the American People. This Treaty TRANSFERS our power of self-rule to a FOREIGN BODY. This Treaty is probably the most significant Treaty in the History of the United States and can not be allowed to pass without a mandate from the American People.

This Treaty can not be binding on us because a Maniac in the White House would like to "dismember" the United States and create a Great Hemisphere.

Even if we defeat the FTAA, all the countries of South America can join CAFTA another 19 countries in fact.

That was a provision of CAFTA.

The Hemisphere as begun. I believe that is why Vicente was watching it so closely. He is from Colombia and they would not benefit from CAFTA otherwise.
