    I AM AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT...

    Hi there everyone,

I know Some of you will take my action as an insult, but believe me; that's not the idea.
My wife and I came to the States 10 years ago (april 20/1996) under a tourist visa. We were really tourists on vacation at that time, and Marsha (my wife) was 3 months pregnant. First thing we noticed different when we left the airport was the cleanness of the streets, and people walking safelly on the streets untill 1, 2 am... very different of our country (Brazil, by the way) where criminallity, corruption, and a whole lot of bad things happen eadch and every day. It was on friday. We spent saturday and sunday shopping for our baby girl that was coming (Marsha was 3 mos. pregnant as i mentioned before) and by thre end of sunday we went to a restaurant to have dinner. While waitting i was checking on an jobs newspaper, and found a lot of adds looking for construction workers. Saw one where the guy spoke my language (Portuguese); neither Marsha or I knew English by them. Anyway, I called the guy, just curious, about the job, and he said I could star on monday morning!!! Didn't ask for a greeen card, ssn, nothing... I started to work on that monday, and 've been working six days in the week for tghe past 10 years. After a while we realized that this country would be much better to raise our kids than our country (we still love Brazil, but recognize that here is much better). We both got an ITIN number (to pay taxes), and learned English as fast as we could. Our daughter was born in november 1996 in New York City. After that we had two more kids: two boys: Willy 5, and Wesley 3. Allour 3 kids are American citizens. We speak English, pay taxes, work hard to support our family, just like most of you guys. Now, there's a lot of illegal immigrants on same situation than us: people that came to this country to constroy a life, not to destroy the country. and there's a lot of people like the guys on some pictures posted here (how come nobody posted a picture of illegal immigrants on the fields, milking, farming, etc...), that don't have any respect for the laws, culture and people of this country. These people were mostly criminals on their country of origin (and they would be criminals here even if they were born in here): those are ''bad seeds''. On my opinion (of course I'd think l;ike this) there should be a criminal records checking, and an English, history and general knoledge test, and people that ''deserve to be here'' should be allowed to stay. It's just fair: Right we broke the law staying and working on the US without a green-card, but didn't your ancestors (the pilgrims) did the same because they wanted a better place for their families? What about the children? Like mine and other families. They are American, just like yours. What happens to them if I get deported? Should them be deported too? To a country that isn't theirs or should they stay and be raisen by foster parents? We (my wife, me and millions of families more) made a mistake coming to thuis country without a green card, but should our American born kids pay for it? If your answer is yes, wouldn't it be fair if all the people but the Native American descendants had to live also, since their ancestors didn't have a green card when they arrived? Sorry if my opinion insults somebody here. But one of the best things on this countrey is the right to say what you think, as long you respect people that think different than you... God bless America and God bless You All. Thanks [/b]

    ITIN...

By the way, if somebody doesn't know what is an ITIN, here 's a link to IRS website... It's a number just like the SSN, only that we pay taxes but can't receive any benefits, not even tax restituicion. G/B

    newpilgrimfamily,

Our nation was kind enough to give you a tourist visa and you stuck your finger in our eye by breaking the law and taking a job while on a tourist visa.

If you came in my house and decided it was nicer than your house would you just decide to stay? Ho hum?

The pilgrims did not lie and cheat their way into America and your analogy of the Indians is a scary one. I sure hope Americans do not end up dead by disease and violence by the millions over the actions of people like you.

Furthermore, to come here and flaunt your criminality and use your children as pawns to justify your immoral and illegal acts is disgusting.

We need to locate people like you and deport you back to YOUR NATION. We should also seize any property or assets you have to reimburse the tax dollars you stole to cover the health care and education of your children. We do make arrangements for you to take your children with you.

Will you chose that option when we find you or will you abandon your children here when they are no longer useful to you as a political lever?

Some parts of Brazil are nice. Perhaps we should start coming down there and just take what we like.

My we're getting such a lot of people here lately wanting to be friends, reasonable, rational, and sympathetic. You can feel it can't you. The pressure of 200 million citizens that are recognizing that we are being invaded, that we've been betrayed for our kindness, pushing you toward your native land. You are no immigrant. We invite immigrants. You are a temporary illegal alien invader. We will push you from each street, each neighborhood, each city until the Feds send you home. Yes, we can, we must.

    NO PROBLEM...

As I said before, I respect your opinion, still we disagree, and I won't call you names like i was called (criminal, invader, etc)... As i mentioned, everything I do is for my kids, that are American, just like yours... About getting into my house (well, bank owns it more than I do actually, lol)dragging me ythrough the streets, end etc... I don't think that's the mentality of a loud minority, since American are know in the whole world for respecting HUMAN BEINGS rights... God bless us all. By the way, is there any Christian here?

Your trying to rationalize your crime. If you wanted to stay after your visit, you should of went home to Brazil, got on line at the visa office and returned legally! You follow the law then get A JOB! Not break THE LAW and get a job!

If we grant amnesty, the flood of illegal aliens will never stop. IT WILL SEND THE MESSAGE, COME ON IN AND BREAK THE LAW NOBODY CARES IF COME LEGALLY! My advise is to go home to Brazil and sign up the right way! Yeah, you might have to wait 5 years, but so did my mother- in- law 45 years ago. You see LEGAL immigrants have been doing it the right, legal way for quite some time and illegals are breaking THE LAW! If you do it the right way, you will never have to look over your shoulder waiting for the immigration service ICE TO COME AND DEPORT YOU. This is not a racist. THE END DOES NOT JUSTIFY THE MEANS! AMNESTY is not justice!

Your kids could get an education in your country and they might really like it in Brazil!

IF all the illegals were like newpilgrimfamily, there would be no issue. But I don't understand one thing - why couldn't you apply for citizenship? You've done everything else right, why not that? You chose not to follow our laws! That is what is so upsetting - it's an insult to america and the way we do things here to keep our country great.

I noticed that as well. I feel like the american people are being heard but it's not on the news. Everyone in the country knows how all americans feel about this issue. We want this taken care of asap.

I'm sure almost every law breaker has a reason for their actions, but that doesn't justify the criminal act itself. The United States, in good faith, issued you a temporary tourist visa with the understanding you would depart the country prior to, or on, the day of its expiration. That my friend is called trust, we trusted you to live up to your end of the bargain, but you failed to do so. What does that say about your integrity? Additionally, do you really expect us to believe you would turn your children over to foster parents? While Brazil may not be the best place in the world to live and raise a family, it's far from the worse. Why don't we just open our arms wide and take every person, and their family, that wants to live in the United States? Exactly how many people do you think the resources of our country can support, certainly not the billions upon billions that would like to live here. I can sympathize with anyone seeking to better their quality of life, but I'm afraid sympathy is all I can offer when the quality of life for my own family is threatened.

When are you going to tell your children that you and your wife are criminals? What kind of example are your setting for them? A person should not be able to pick and choose the laws they wish to obey! Unfortunately, you have plenty of lousy company in that regard, because our government is doing the same thing.
