King County event tops off caucus eve schedule

BELLEVUE, Washington – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul attracted more than 750 voters to his Seattle Town Hall Meeting, topping off a day of campaigning in eastern and western Washington.
Dr. Paul’s Seattle event took place at 7:30 p.m. PST at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center, 2211 Alaskan Way, Pier 66. More than 750 voters greeted the 12-term Congressman from Texas who spoke, and took questions from the audience.

    Ron Paul Brings Sexy Back

Today at The Daily Caller I make the point, albeit in an entertaining way, that only Ron Paul actually delivers what every Tea Partier and conservative Republican claims to want most:

    Video at the page link

No single leader or individual group controls the Tea Party but most Tea Partiers would agree that balancing the budget and reducing the debt is their top priority. The question today is, ‘For which presidential candidate is this a top priority?’

A recent study indicates there is only one. After examining each candidate’s economic proposals, last week the independent Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget reported that Newt Gingrich’s plan would add $7 trillion to the national debt, Santorum’s would add $4.5 trillion and Romney’s would add $250 billion.

But Ron Paul would actually cut our debt to the tune of $2.2 trillion.

But many conservative Republicans say they aren’t necessarily comfortable with Paul on every issue. This doesn’t change the fact that Paul is the only one who’s right on what has always been the Tea Party’s primary issue. It doesn’t change the fact that Romney, Santorum and Gingrich all fail miserably on what has always been the Tea Party’s primary issue.

The entire purpose of our Constitution was to limit the federal government, including its power to spend recklessly. Paul’s purist constitutional approach is nothing less than hitting the reset button on the republic of the Founders. As the Daily Caller’s Max Borders has observed:

One of the cleverest things Justin Timberlake ever did was bring sexy back. After all, sexy never really went away. But once the song came out, it didn’t matter. People welcomed sexy back with open arms. Now there’s nothing particularly sexy about the Ron Paul campaign…

But just as Justin Timberlake brought sexy back, Ron Paul is bringing the Constitution back even though it never went away…

    Illinois

    Woo hoo! It was cold!!!

It was AWESOME - lots of beeps from cars - two weeks until our Primary ...

Armed with Super Brochures, homemade signs, American Flags, and the ENTHUSIASM only a Ron Paul campaign can muster up - we took to two intersections in Glen Ellyn, IL this afternoon for 2 hours; enduring mid-20 degree temperatures, snow & wind and got some LOVE!

Michael Scheuer: When war comes, Dr Paul can say, "George Washington and I tried to warn you!"

For much more than a decade, Dr. Ron Paul has warned Americans about the danger inherent in a bipartisan foreign policy that intervenes in other peoples’ affairs, seeks to impose Western values on others, and writes blank-check commitments to fight for other countries in wars where no genuine U.S. national interest at risk. Dr. Paul often cites George Washington’s words in this regard, as our first president — and the greatest American — clearly, starkly and eloquently warned of the disasters awaiting the United States if its leaders engaged in an interventionist foreign policy and favored one nation over all the others.

    Michael Scheuer Non-Intervention.com

My policy has been and will continue to be ... to be on friendly terms with, but independent of, all nations on earth. To share in the broils of none. To supply their wants, and be carriers for them all; being thoroughly convinced that it is our policy and interest to do so; and that nothing short of self-respect, and that justice which is essential to a national character, ought to involve us in war.

    illegal immigrants.
    Militarized police.

All being financed by the same elite who have historically financed the violent revolutions of the past century?

LOL! We're better community organizers. Plus we've got the military on our side-and constitutions.

The GOP Seeks its own John Kerry

    Blog

Eight years ago a candidate who inspired young Democrats and independents was passed over in favor of a more electable choice – John Kerry was chosen over the brash Howard Dean in an “anyone-but-Bush” race.

Today, Republicans line up in an attempt to repeat history. In this "anyone-but-Obama" race, they are overlooking a candidate who inspires inside the party and out in favor of the “electable” option.

Is a win more important for Republicans or is that vague feel of electability more important? The two are exclusive of each other according to the results of the 1976, 1980, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, and 2008 elections. Choose the moderate – the one who feels tolerable to everyone – and you reject the candidate from your own party who inspires.
The moderate might win if the other team’s guy fails at inspiring his base.

Spending a fortune, having a hard time breaking 50%, inspiring few, tolerable to party insiders – Mitt Romney comes across to independent observers as John Kerry Part Deux.

    Good for a Cocktail Party

I have no idea whether either John Kerry or Mitt Romney speaks French, but something about them makes me feel like they both do. In fact, they can probably both tell a good joke in French. You know, the kind of joke that makes you chuckle, chuckle, chuckle.

Men of the world, men who look presidential, men who can be universally tolerated in polite company – the kind of guy you’d invite to your cocktail party if you wanted to make sure that he would offend as few people as a discussion on the weather. They both come across as gentlemen and are both capable of being tolerable politicians.

They would even be great candidates if elections weren’t about winning support, but about offending as few people as possible.
