    Ron Paul 2012

    To the Establishment...Sorry...but, you've lost.

What's pathetic is...we told you this would happen. We told you our strategy & you just laughed it off as if it wouldn't happen. You FOOLS...we don't call this The rEVOLution for nothing! Now that you've finally noticed our movement it's too late. The movement has already spread too far. The pieces are already in place. You CAN NOT STOP US.

Our delegate strategy has worked in every single state and it will continue to do so all the way to Tampa. Mitt Romney will never have the delegates needed to win the nomination. At the Republican National Convention WE WILL nominate Ron Paul to represent the Republican Party in 2012.

Now that you realize you've been defeated, you are now claiming we are "hijacking" the party...but in actuality, we are simply "reclaiming" OUR party. You evil bastards are the ones who "hijacked" this party a LONG time ago with your Neo-Con policies! Your removal has been long overdue! WE are restoring the core Republican principles to the Republican party. The very principles you despise...but yet, have the nerve to call yourself "Republican" and "conservative". The rEVOLution represents TRUE Republicanism...real conservatism (both home & abroad), limited government, civil liberties...the very principles that you have systematically removed from our party.

The Republican National Convention in Tampa will be the rebirth of the Republican party. We are now officially the Party of Paul. Deal with it.

    Ron Paul 2012

Quite clearly the media has been shocked, shamed, and horrified by what is going on in the delegate selection process. They ignored and slept through all of the massive ralleys..... they didn't listen or understand what this "delegate thing" was all about in all of the numerous interviews .... and now that it is happening they are trying to play "catch up" so they don't look like TOTAL idiots. (I mean they have to at least TRY to look like a news media) They are smiling and joking and acting like "isn't this just so amazing and fun", as they try to NOT appear like the complete failures that they are as "journalists".

However, be prepared. Once they get their second wind, and their "instructions from above" they are going to come out with fangs and claws drawn and start ranting about how the Ron Paul people are going to be "handing the election to Obama".

If the RP people keep winning in these caucuses things are going to get really ugly. Your "friends and relatives" who know absolutely nothing but their hatred for Obama are going to get REALLY, REALLY ANGRY with you for supporting "Paul the spoiler". WE, the Ron Paul troops are going to be accused of "stealing" "manipulating", "overtaking" the process. We will be called TRAITORS to the United States if we don't get behind Romney. (even moreso than now). ALL of this negative propaganda will be the backdrop for the dirty tricks that they will JUSTIFY at the national convention. And your "friends and family" will AGREE with bending the rules in order to get this "traitor" out of the way.

The opening bell will ring when RUSH goes on a tirade about it. At the moment he is still ignoring Paul. When he goes into one of his wild eyed rants, then we will know that the instructions have come down from above, and the real war has begun!

Just a warning so that we don't get surprised and shaken.

What we must do is JUST KEEP CALMLY MOVING FORWARD in our efforts to get Paul elected, and in taking over the GOP. We must stay calm, focused and determined. We must not get into fistfights, shouting matches, name calling, or worse, fall into despair. Just keep moving forward.

Fortunately, Ron Paul supporters are not going to vote for anyone just to get the party elected, so we won't be LOSING people. But they don't understand that and they will do ANYTHING to hold onto the reins of power. IF WE KNOW THIS NOW, maybe we can avoid the days and days of "shocked" and "horrified" reactions to the terrible stories that are going to be released about us.

They think that the fear of "what others think" or being "different" is what motivates us just as it motivates them. They think that the fear of LOSING will overpower us, just as it overpowers them. Our strength is that they haven't a clue what motivates us!

WE ARE RON PAUL. WE ARE THE REVOLUTION. WE ARE WINNING HEARTS AND MINDS FOR THE FUTURE.

So when the proverbial s^%t hits the fan, PLEASE PEOPLE,

Just keep moving forward..... and DONATE to keep Ron Paul moving too!

Ron Paul: “A true revolution has to be ideological”

The mainstream media continues to ask ‘what is Ron Paul doing?’ As I noted yesterday, reporters understand how to cover a horserace but have no clue how to cover a movement.

Ron Paul represents something markedly different from both the Democrat and Republican establishments. Our problems did not begin with Barack Obama and they won’t be solved if the Republicans go back to George W. Bush. Saving America necessarily requires an ideological revolution in our overall politics, not simply restaffing the White House with more of the same. During his speech in Austin, Texas Saturday, Dr. Paul explained what’s really at stake right now in American politics:

A true revolution has to be ideological. Revolutions can be violent, they can overthrow a government with nothing really improved. An ideologically positive revolution is what is necessary, and that’s what we have going in this country. We may lose a battle here or there. But ultimately we are going to win the war because we are winning the hearts and minds of the American people.”

Ron Paul Gains Delegates at Maine and Nevada State GOP Conventions Held this Weekend

Paul supporters are enlarging GOP and elevating his platform of constitutionally-limited government and restoration of our economic and civil liberties

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Supporters of 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul made notable gains in state Republican conventions in the key voting states of Maine and Nevada this weekend, affirming his delegate-attainment strategy and injecting uncommon, sorely-needed enthusiasm into GOP party-building efforts.

By Sunday in Maine, Republican convention-goers elected Paul supporters as their state party secretary and chairman, changing the convention atmosphere and altering party operations going forward. They also elected the state’s RNC committee man and woman, and swept four of four electors. In addition, Paul supporters won 34 of 50 Maine Republican state committee members elected today, bringing them closer to a majority of the full state committee that consists of 80 members including county chairs. Especially noteworthy is that the Paul campaign estimates it has elected 20 delegates to the national convention – an airtight majority. In total, Maine gets 24 delegates, the balance consisting of automatic delegates such as RNC officials, the governor, and the state party chairman.

By Sunday in Nevada, where on Saturday Ron Paul addressed the state convention in Sparks live and in person, Paul supporters won 22 of 28 delegates to the national convention, with establishment-pick Mitt Romney garnering three, and three more reserved for the state GOP chair and two RNC officials. Other recent developments in Nevada include Paul supporters electing a Paul-friendly state GOP chair by a 2-to-1 margin, the election of a Paul-friendly Nye County GOP chair, acquiring a two-thirds controlling interest in the Clark County GOP executive board, and gaining control of both of the state’s RNC slots.

“We’re extraordinarily pleased with the victories Ron Paul supporters achieved this weekend, and we thank these men and women for their untiring engagement. Republican Party activists with Paul leanings are affirming the campaign’s delegate-win strategy and making lasting inroads into the party infrastructure, broadening the Republican footprint and strengthening the GOP base that suffers from a dearth of enthusiasm,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Manager John Tate.

“Ron Paul victories in Maine and Nevada are occurring at a time and in a manner helpful for unseating President Obama and restoring America’s liberty and prosperity – goals that, naturally, all Republicans share,” added Mr. Tate.

Lessons From The Paul Vs. Paul Debate

    Monday, 07 May 2012 02:11 Vedran Vuk

This article was written by Vedran Vuk and originally published at LewRockwell.com

A few days ago, Bloomberg held the debate many readers have been wanting for a long time: Paul Krugman vs. Ron Paul. To be fair, Ron Paul didn't have a slam-dunk debate moment – but neither did Krugman. Still, the fact that a medical doctor from Texas armed with a little Austrian economics and a lot of common sense can stand up to a Nobel-Prize-winning economist is impressive. If the roles were reversed and the conversation was on medicine, Krugman would have likely sounded like a village idiot in the discussion. In case you haven't already seen it, click on the frame below for the video.

What was more amazing than Ron Paul's performance was the number of times Paul Krugman shot himself in the foot. Honestly, Ron Paul didn't need to say much; Krugman's own logic make him look bad enough. Let's look at some of his blunders play-by-play style:

Early on in the debate, Krugman says, "You know you can't leave the government out of monetary policy .... The central bank is always going to be in the business of managing monetary policy. If you think that you can avoid that, you're living in some – you're living in the world as it was 150 years ago."

No matter the topic of the argument, a typical defense is to accuse your opponent of being stuck in past. However, in this case, it doesn't make sense. Consider the timing of the last two biggest US recessions: the Great Depression over 80 years ago and the current recession still in the works. Since the enlightened economic policies over the past century have performed so poorly, is it so bad to look upon other time periods favorably?

Krugman goes on: "And look, history tells us that in fact a completely unmanaged economy is subject to extreme volatility – subject to extreme downturns. I know that there's legends that people, probably like you Congressman, have, that the Great Depression was somehow caused by the government – caused by the Federal Reserve – but it's not true. The reality is that was a market economy run amok. Which happens. It happened repeatedly over the past couple of centuries."

Exactly which periods of "extreme volatility and downturns" are Krugman referring to? Two come to my mind – again, the Great Depression and the current crisis. However, neither is consistent with Krugman's statement. The Federal Reserve was around for both recessions; it's been in business since 1913. Furthermore, researchers including Dr. Christina Romer (the former head of Obama's Council of Economic Advisors) have debunked much of Krugman's volatility assertions. For an excellent comparison of the economy's performance before and after the creation of the Federal Reserve, see A Century of Failure by Dr. George Selgin of the University of Georgia.

Krugman's statements get even bolder: "Depressions are a bad thing for capitalism, and it is the role of government to make sure that they don't happen, or if they do happen, that they don't last too long." Sounds good, right? There's just one problem. The Federal Reserve failed to prevent the Great Depression, and it failed to avoid the current crisis as well. Furthermore, the Federal Reserve seems powerless to shorten the duration of the current recession. If the government's role is to prevent recessions, it has a horrible track record. Krugman is apparently lost in some strange hallucinogenic trip where the government prevented the crisis, and we swiftly arose from a brief recession.

Ron Paul goes at Krugman with a good comeback for the "150 years" statement by pointing out that the history of inflationary policies extends thousands of years, back to the Romans. Krugman responds that this isn't his policy stance. Well, how is it different? The Federal Reserve may use fancy phrases such as "quantitative easing," but it really comes down to same policy of debasing a currency. The techniques and methods may have changed, but the general idea has not.

Rather than explain his comment on the Roman debasement of the currency, Krugman clarifies his position by praising the monetary policies of the 1950s post-WW II period. Yes, that was a great period of growth; but a single decade of success is hardly long enough to be considered support. Monetary policy shouldn't be judged by the performance of one decade, but rather by a century-long track record. Everyone loves policies when they work; it's the policy failures which are the problem. And it's certainly the case that the US federal government has been wholly unable to stay with any one monetary policy for a full century.

Ron Paul's retort mentions the spending cuts after WW II. To dodge Paul's good response, Krugman changes topics to an unconnected point about Milton Friedman. Then Ron Paul answers Krugman with his own unconnected point about competing currencies, to which Krugman mumbles, "I have no idea what that's about."

Next, the conversation switches to the national debt level. The host points out that the national debt as a percentage of GDP has reached near 100% and asks how much further the debt level can be extended. Krugman admits, "I don't have a fixed number," but he suggests that the debt level should be raised an additional 30 points to 130% of GDP, if that could get us out of the recession. In my opinion, this comment is the bazooka shot into Krugman's own foot. Earlier in the debate, Ron Paul criticized the arbitrariness of the Federal Reserve's interest-rate policies. He mocks the Fed by saying, "The interest rate should be one percent instead of three percent because we are so smart."

And here, Krugman completely verifies the validity of Paul's criticism. It's impossible for central planners to figure out the perfect interest rate. Similarly, Krugman doesn't know what the limit to the debt should be. And I don't blame him for having a tough time – who does know the solution to these problems? Maybe our national debt as a percentage of GDP can reach 200%, 150%, or maybe it's approaching Armageddon at 130%. It's impossible to say for sure. In the same way, it's impossible for the Federal Reserve to set an appropriate interest rate. Is zero too low for inflation? Is raising it to 4% too high? What are the consequences to finding some middle ground?

These are truly unanswerable questions. Without the Fed, the market would find the interest rate itself. You can fill a whole room with Nobel-Prize-winning economists, and they still won't be able to figure out what the market would do with interest rates. If they knew, most would be millionaires and running their own hedge funds – not employees of quasi-governmental agencies and universities.

Unfortunately, a lack of knowledge doesn't stop economists from making policy decisions much like what Krugman advocates. He admits to not knowing the limit to our national debt, but at the same time advocates pushing the debt to 130%. What if that's too high and the result is the start of a final death spiral for the US economy? "Whoops; sorry America."

This is the general problem with the Fed and all central planners. They try to guide the economy, but more often than not, they create the very recessions that the system is supposed to prevent. The Federal Reserve either leaves rates too low for too long, or it raises them so high as to create an economic slowdown of its own. The Federal Reserve isn't the wonderful safety net economic idealists imagine. Instead, it's much closer to driving a car while blindfolded. Unfortunately, people like Krugman are more than willing to take the keys knowing full well the dangers of driving blindfolded. And when these Fed economists inevitably crash into a brick wall, it is the passenger – the American worker – who gets creamed.

Stop looking at the primary, that isn't what really matters here. Ron Paul is not losing.

We have been through this, forget the primaries (straw polls). Winning delegates at the convention is all that matters, if you have been paying attention.

Forget the media when they say Romney has this locked up and forget what they are reporting as the delegate count.

The delegates decide the nominee folks, and we are winning the majority of delegates all over the country.

The media wants everyone to believe that Romney has the nomination locked up to try and discourage people from getting to their conventions. The problem is that this has a negative effect on Romney rather than Ron Paul. We are motivated. Romney's people aren't.

Ask yourselves, if Romney has this locked up then why the need to send lawyers to Nevada or to challange delegates in Maine and other places? The reason is he knows he has not locked up a damn thing and the establishment is running scared.

Stay focused there is still lots of work to be done and delegates to win, let's show these bastards that we will not go quietly in the night but we the people are here to take our country back and declare our independence.

WARNING: Romney Campaign Is Paying People To Gather Information About State Delegates

    Ron Paul Forums:

According to a MI RP campaign staffer, the campaign:
"...received word that Romney's campaign is paying people to gather information about the state delegates and identify the "troublemakers" (i.e., you and me) so be careful not to share your information or political affiliations with strangers."
Watch for this in other states as well. This is especially important if you are a delegate.
