Mitt Romney feeling threatened by Ron Paul's delegates?

Thanks to RT for Covering Ron Paul since the MSM is not

UPdate: Ron Paul off the campaign trail, pocketing Romney's delegates http://youtu.be/poSklwB1GHc

There are roughly three months left until the Republican National Convention in Florida and although many have ordained Mitt Romney as the GOP nominee, Ron Paul is still in the race. On Monday, Paul announced that he will invest his time and efforts at winning the delegate vote. Many have doubted the Texas congressman's strategy, but could he pull off the upset and take the GOP nomination? Robin Koerner, publisher of Watching America, joins us with his take on the matter.

Could Ron Paul's delegates ruin Mitt Romney's nomination?

Published on May 15, 2012 by RTAmerica

Ron Paul has been taking slow strides that could lead to gaining the GOP nomination. Many have already claimed Romney as the clear winner and the mainstream media has ignored Ron Paul, but lately Paul has claimed a major of delegates in several states. Could Ron Paul keep the momentum going and defeat Romney? Austin Petersen, director of production for Freedom Works, gives us his take.

ed up with an inept and self-destructive GOP apparatus in Nevada, the Republican National Committee and the Mitt Romney campaign have decided to erect a “shadow state party” in this critical swing state, sources confirmed today.

“They are still bogged down in the minutiae of whether Romney will be the presumptive nominee,” scoffed a GOP strategist familiar with the details of the restructuring. “We don’t have time for that when the Obama campaign already is in full campaign mode. RNC, Romney campaign will erect new organization to bypass state GOP

    Wednesday, May 16, 2012 | 2:41 p.m.

Fed up with an inept and self-destructive GOP apparatus in Nevada, the Republican National Committee and the Mitt Romney campaign have decided to erect a “shadow state party” in this critical swing state, sources confirmed today.

“They are still bogged down in the minutiae of whether Romney will be the presumptive nominee,” scoffed a GOP strategist familiar with the details of the restructuring. “We don’t have time for that when the Obama campaign already is in full campaign mode. We have no use for them (the state GOP).”
The lack of faith in the Republican Party here intensified with the botched February caucus, metastasized after the Ron Paul takeover in Sparks and reached its zenith with Tuesday evening’s call for RNC Chairman Reince Priebus to resign by a divided Clark County GOP

Priebus was described to me as “disappointed with the censuring,” which probably means his blood pressure went high enough to give an elephant a stroke. So Priebus, in concert with the Romney folks here, have decided to turn the so-called Team Nevada office on Tropicana into the de facto Republican Party.

“The goal is for us to be running get out the vote, running phone programs, voter ID, voter contact, everything through the Team Nevada headquarters,” the strategist told me. That is, everything the party is supposed to do, except the GOP here can’t raise money and has the inmates running the asylum.

He continued: “The RNC has said it is willing to do everything possible as the state party appears not to be willing to work with us, so we will do it without them.”
The plan would be to transfer money directly to Team Nevada and/or funnel some through the Washoe Republican Party, run by the respected Dave Buell, who is well-liked by the RNC and Romney folks.

To distill, the GOP insider said, “Essentially we’re setting up a shadow state party.”

And it will surely cast a long shadow over a state GOP that is trying to oust its executive director, David Gallagher, a political pro, while other staff departures seem likely as the Paul folks complete their coup. Even soon-to-be-former RNC Committeeman Bob List called the state GOP “dysfunctional” during an appearance today on NPR’s “Talk of the Nation,” although the former governor also blamed the Romney campaign for resting on its caucus win laurels and allowing the Paul revolution to occur.

But List is likely not to factor into these plans, which will feature full integration, as is occurring nationally, between the RNC and Romney. It's also likely that after the June 12 primary clears the filed, the Rep. Joe Heck and Sen. Dean Heller campaigns will get on board.

This move has been inevitable and essential for some time for the RNC and Team Romney to combat a formidable Democratic machine. They won’t be able to do everything the Democrats can do, but separating themselves from the imploding and embarrassing party structure is a good first step.

Bush was from and where he first got into politics. Good 'ol boy movers and shakers who control everything. This means they HATE Romney!!! Maybe our little Texas primary may come out a bit better than expected.

Although this sign wave takes place 65 days later after Tennessee's Republican Primary, it shows the dedication for Ron Paul's ideas (Liberty) and how important it is to continue to spread this message even more so because of the media blackout. Do what you can, but if there ever was an opportunity to speak out against the status quo, that time is NOW!!!

Here is a list of important upcoming events for Ron Paul to get delegates, and the 3 main things you'll need to know:

1)There may still be time to become a delegate. All it takes is one quick phone call to your local county/village office or local Republican Party office and ask if there are still any VACANCIES for delegate or alternate delegate spots.
    2) When you get there, know who your Parliamentarian is. (See below for info on how to obtain a Parliamentarian for your convention)
    3) Make electing a fair/pro-Paul chairman a (perhaps 1st) priority!!!

"Millennials Become Players in General Elections" & would rather help Ron Paul's than Romney's people

Submitted by Fire Is Born on Thu, 05/17/2012 - 02:09
    Ron Paul 2012

"Millennials Become Players in General Elections" & would rather help Ron Paul's political organizers than Romney's

According to the Director of the Harvard Institute of Politics, Trey Grayson, it is Ron Paul’s libertarian beliefs and “plain spokenness.” (read: honesty) that appeal to young voters, reports The Epoch Times, San Francisco, CA, edition. The second page article, features one sole photo: a large lovely pic of Ron Paul among young voters, and a whole very affirmative section on Ron Paul, which I quote below.

The Epoch Times can be easily obtained free of charge in all magazine stalls on the San Francisco Pacific side, inhabited predominantly by the middle class or affluent Chinese. But others like me can also pick it up in the entire SF Bay Area, as I did today. The California primaries come on June 5th (register Republican by May 21st) and the paper is very popular – so it is all very good timing for us.

The Epoch Times article “Millennials Become Players in General Elections” by Shar Adams has led me to the most delicious late discovery: the last IOP #Harvard Poll of the Millennials, Young Americans between ages 18-29 of all ethnic backgrounds (N= 3,096, MOE +/- 1.7) of which, a subgroup of four-year-college students (22% of N) were compared (MOE +/- 3.7). This original questionnaire is accessible to the public - with the results - which adds to the poll's standing.

    http://www.iop.harvard.edu/var/ezp_s...12_topline.pdf

It is in the original that I found one rather unusual question which led me to the conclusion in my own headline in DP: that Young Americans, if asked by the “political organizers”, would much rather work with Ron Paul's Ron Paul people – than with Romney's people!! I don't think this fact has been out and about in the 2012 presidential elections season. So we can trumpet this now, just when we need it most. And get more aggressive asking the young Millennials for help.

    The questions go:

“If Ron Paul's (Q55) / Romney's (Q52) political organizers asked you to engage on his behalf to help the 2012 campaign how LIKELY would you be to participate?”

    ..........Ron Paul(in Q26-2............Romney(in Q26)

    ..........TOTAL(n=494)...4year(n=12....TOTAL(n=17..4year(n=42)

    VERY......16%............8%..............5%....... .....0%
    SOMEWHAT..34%............37%.............27%...... .....29%
    yes..............50%...........45%.............32% .........29%

    NOT.VERY..35%............41%.............46%...... .....38%
    NOTATAll..15%............14%.............21%...... .....33%
    no...............50%...........55%..............67 %.........71%

These results are embarrassing for Romney but not at all surprising to anyone who keep themselves informed beyond the MSM. They square - these results. What does not square are the popular votes in the primaries. The survey was carried between March 23 to April 9, when Santorum and Gingrich were still in. Both of them did better than Romney in this question, but Ron Paul beat them all in drawing the potential of political activism.

The questions 52 (Romney) and 55 (Paul), which I compare/combine) in the table above, was asked of people from within their respective supporters in a 3-way-race, where Paul would run as an independent third party against Obama and one of the three Republicans : Romney (Q26), Santorum (Q27) and Gingrich (Q2. The results of Q26 show that as Independent Ron Paul would “eat” the votes from Romney pie, not Obama's.

And in a two way race as a Republican nominee against Obama Ron Paul (Q25) would do very close but a little bit better than Romney (Q22). Just as he would go head to head with Romney in Q20 which asked Independents and Republicans who of the four then running Republican candidates would they like most to win the nomination.

I encourage everyone to see the results in the original questionnaire. It always pays off to see the first hand source and not trust anyone gossip, especially in 2012. So. in all. I couldn't be gladder that on this lovely California day I picked up the free press from the stand. Well done, The Epoch Times! Thank for the lead to the source.

    "(...)

    Ron Paul

Adding to Romney’s woes is Texas Rep. Ron Paul. According to Trey Grayson, Romney’s standing amongst millennials was not only low [vs. Obama's], but equal to Ron Paul’s.

“If Congressman Ron Paul was to run as a third party candidate most of the support that he gained came from Romney,” Grayson said. “Obama stayed at about 41 percent.”

Paul has said he will continue his campaign for Republican presidential nominee, the last remaining rival to Romney, despite failing to win any states so far.

His success has surprised analysts, with much of his support coming from millennials. According to CNN exit polls in the New Hampshire and Iowa primaries earlier the year, Paul won around 47 percent of the voters under 30.

Paul also caused an upset recently, his supporters in Maine winning 21 of 24 delegate seats at the state Republican convention and 22 of 25 delegates at Nevada’s Republican convention despite the fact that Romney had won the polls in both states earlier in the year.

Grayson believes it is not only Paul’s libertarian beliefs that appeal to young voters, it is also his “plain spokenness.” “Young people find that very refreshing at time when they are very cynical toward elected officials,” he said."....

    "(...)

The Harvard survey also popped out recently on Twitter, with no mention of Ron Paul, due to a tendencious pro-Romney anti-Obama propaganda piece in the Daily Beast, also with no mention of Ron Paul.

    http://www.iop.harvard.edu/var/ezp_s..._exec_summ.pdf

The official Harvard analysis of its Survey looks mostly into the Obama/Romney affair and has only a tiny paragraph on Ron Paul:

VIDEO: A Second Look At the Federal Reserve

An Address by G. Edward Griffin.

creature from jekyll island pt1 - YouTube

Where does money come from? Where does it go? Who makes it? The money magician's secrets are unveiled. Here is a close look at their mirrors and smoke machines, the pulleys, cogs, and wheels that create the grand illusion called money. A boring subject? Just wait. You'll be hooked in five minutes. It sounds like a detective story, which it really is, but it's all true. Based on Mr. Griffin's book of the same title, this address will shatter your old ideas about money and change the way you view the world. 74 minutes.

    End the Fed

    by Ron Paul

Before the US House of Representatives, February 4, 2009, introducing the The Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act, H.R. 833.

Madame Speaker, I rise to introduce legislation to restore financial stability to America's economy by abolishing the Federal Reserve. Since the creation of the Federal Reserve, middle and working-class Americans have been victimized by a boom-and-bust monetary policy. In addition, most Americans have suffered a steadily eroding purchasing power because of the Federal Reserve's inflationary policies. This represents a real, if hidden, tax imposed on the American people.

From the Great Depression, to the stagflation of the seventies, to the current economic crisis caused by the housing bubble, every economic downturn suffered by this country over the past century can be traced to Federal Reserve policy. The Fed has followed a consistent policy of flooding the economy with easy money, leading to a misallocation of resources and an artificial "boom" followed by a recession or depression when the Fed-created bubble bursts.

With a stable currency, American exporters will no longer be held hostage to an erratic monetary policy. Stabilizing the currency will also give Americans new incentives to save as they will no longer have to fear inflation eroding their savings. Those members concerned about increasing America's exports or the low rate of savings should be enthusiastic supporters of this legislation.

Though the Federal Reserve policy harms the average American, it benefits those in a position to take advantage of the cycles in monetary policy. The main beneficiaries are those who receive access to artificially inflated money and/or credit before the inflationary effects of the policy impact the entire economy. Federal Reserve policies also benefit big spending politicians who use the inflated currency created by the Fed to hide the true costs of the welfare-warfare state. It is time for Congress to put the interests of the American people ahead of special interests and their own appetite for big government.

Abolishing the Federal Reserve will allow Congress to reassert its constitutional authority over monetary policy. The United States Constitution grants to Congress the authority to coin money and regulate the value of the currency. The Constitution does not give Congress the authority to delegate control over monetary policy to a central bank. Furthermore, the Constitution certainly does not empower the federal government to erode the American standard of living via an inflationary monetary policy.

In fact, Congress' constitutional mandate regarding monetary policy should only permit currency backed by stable commodities such as silver and gold to be used as legal tender. Therefore, abolishing the Federal Reserve and returning to a constitutional system will enable America to return to the type of monetary system envisioned by our nation's founders: one where the value of money is consistent because it is tied to a commodity such as gold. Such a monetary system is the basis of a true free-market economy.

In conclusion, Mr. Speaker, I urge my colleagues to stand up for working Americans by putting an end to the manipulation of the money supply which erodes Americans' standard of living, enlarges big government, and enriches well-connected elites, by cosponsoring my legislation to abolish the Federal Reserve.
