The state's maximum liability was estimated at $39 million, based on a $2,500 penalty for each violation of the federal Drivers Privacy Protection Act.

This lawsuit should have been for 100 times that amount. Where did the cap of $2500 come from? Better yet, the person that gave the OK for this to happen should be jailed.

Question: What would be wrong with putting a swipe strip on our SS and DL cards with our info on it? Why the chip? We are not friggin cattle. We don't need our info being transmitted everywhere 24 hours a day, that is unless the government wants to know exactly what we are doing ALL the time..screw them!

The danger is in the magnitude of these pieces of garbage.

Absolutely!! Yes, the lawsuit should have been 100 times that amount and every single person involved should be rotting in jail for 5 x the sentence of a pot smoker.
