An immigration enforcement political action committee is endorsing a Libertarian candidate to oppose one of Congress's most radical members.
Democrat Al Green is one of President Trump's bitterest congressional enemies. He has filed numerous fruitless motions calling for his impeachment and is an ardent supporter of amnesty for illegal aliens.
No Republican faced Green in the Houston area's November election for the Ninth Congressional District of Texas, but Phil Kurtz is challenging him as a Libertarian. Kurtz's website describes him as a conservative who is "pro-life, pro-liberty, pro-gun rights, and is for tax reform, reduced spending, border security, and immigration enforcement."
William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), was impressed with the answers Kurtz sent on a completed candidate survey.
"We have a very simple survey which is designed to tell voters which candidates support amnesty for illegal immigrants and which ones support the existing current immigration laws of the United States … which, of course, include deportation and illegals going home," Gheen tells OneNewsNow. "Phil Kurtz sent us a survey, and we didn't have a Republican endorsed in that [race], and there's not one running, and Al Green is one of the worst Democrats in the country, so we endorsed the Libertarian."
The ALIPAC president urges voters to support candidates who are for strong border enforcement.
