    Potential Draft Dobbs Site

It is my understanding the "draft Dobbs" site was set up as a safety valve, not as an actual campaign site. In addition, monies mentioned are "pledges" and NOT actual contributions. "IF" Dobbs runs, those folks have "pledged" to contribute. Personally, having a safety valve with a name like Dobbs, who has an economics degree & has researched numerous subjects of concern to the people, is a pretty good idea in my opinion. It surely cannot hurt since the only effort put forward has been a website advocating turning to him as a possible candidate "ONLY" if a pro-amnesty candidate wins the primaries.
When it comes to viable candidates to challenge the Democrat's in the national elections, we must all face some realities. There are not that many Republican or Independent candidates who are against amnesty & who can stand up to & possibly defeat the Democrat's.
With the media Juggernaut behind them this time around, Democrats & their socialist allies plan to charge hard to occupy the White House. Since they now have a majority in the Congress & they expect an even greater majority come 2009 after the elections, having a Democrat in the White House to boot, gives them what may be their last best opportunity to steer America into socialism & to sign away our sovereignty through UN & non-governmental organization groups sponsored treaties like the Law of the Sea Treaty or the International Criminal Courts Treaty, or other socialist treaties that give the UN power over us and power to enact global taxes so they need not even listen to us anymore!
This really may be the election that determines if America, as a free constitutional republic, continues to exist after 2008!
That means, we must support the most electable candidate that meets most of our needs as a Republican conservative who opposes amnesty & supports limited government. Getting behind someone who cannot be elected under any circumstances because they will not get ANY cross over Democrat votes, is simply a waste of our vote!
Alipac has done the right thing by showing us we can keep options open, with a nationally recognized potential candidate who is with us on most of the issues we find near & dear AND who many Democrats & Independents relate to as well! Rather Dobbs than Bloomberg!

Very good point, tiredofapathy. Any welcoming was being lost in the discussions. Welcome to all those new or just visiting for a look see.

while I think Lou would be a good candidate, he is a thorn in the side of both parties and of those who would give away this country in a heart-beat if it would line their pockets...He is an outspoken advocate of the middle-class and for those who vehemently oppose illegal immigration and all that goes with it (crime, increased taxes, and a 3rd world cesspool culture). He can and does get attention to the issues. As he has said he has no current plans to run and is very happy doing what he does..which is to bring the issues to the forefront of those who'd rather sit on their fat butts and watch American Idol or hide their heads in the sand and pretend that illegal immigration, the economy, or the war doesn't affect them...well yes it does folks...

    just my 2 cents worth...

It's wonderful that we live in a country that any citizen can become president and every citizen can support and vote for the candidate they choose to become president. Sometimes we don't realize how fortunate we are to have that freedom from oppression and dictatorship. Some individuals loose sight of the fact that it is the individual voter's choice and they are just going to have to accept that they can't persuade eveyrone to vote for the candidate they have chosen to vote for.

That being said, I was spoken too with venom and disdain because I told people that I would not be voting for George Bush because of his record on looting of the state coffers, crime and education. Therefore, I was called un-Christian, Liberal, baby killer... They responded to my knowledge of the matter with unjustified emotional attacks.

Today, I'm vindicated and they are eating crow, with much regret.

I find it hilarious that all of these people are coming out against a website because it threatens the status quo of the two party system.

How about we stop being so "brand loyal" to the R or D and start thinking about the A... as in America.

"Waa waa, my candidate is better than Dobbs!".

    Get over it already.

The reason we are in this mess regarding illegal immigration is because Americans continue to just vote by R or D and not for who is best. Since 1992 all votes have been cast "against" a candidate and not "for" a candidate because they've all been horrible, as they continue to be so. And the R and D political parties only keep shoving some half-assed candidates forth for people to choose from.

And to you Paul supporters... if he's so special why is he still associating himself with the Republicans? I mean I can see strategically, so that he can be in the debates etc, but isn't it about time for him to be truly as independent as he claims and kick the R party to the curb?

The two political party system is what has gotten us into this mess and until people start using their heads to vote "for" a candidate instead of "against" the other one, we aren't going to get out of it.

As for Dobbs being unqualified, well he seems to be able to coordinate a good team on a daily basis and that is what being a president is all about. Coordinating a team of people. Or do you truly think that the president actually "does" anything himself?

    *flame on*

    Bring it on! I'm waiting.

    Lou Dobbs

Oh heck...why not throw Lou Dobbs hat in the ring? Looks like we'll have Bloomberg too. Hopefully Ron Paul will run independent if he doesn't get the nomination. Maybe we can go drag Ross Perot back for another run! How 'Bout Ralph Nader?? LOL The more the merrier. The GOP is pretty much toast anyway...I changed my party to libertarian today..I voted for Ron Paul 2 days ago. Can you say President Hillary Clinton? hahaha.
