GOP Lawmakers Push Licenses for Illegal Aliens, Rejected by Large Majorities

Raleigh, NC - Governor Eliot Spitzer destroyed his political career by pushing for licenses for illegal immigrants and then being rebuked by a national poll conducted by Rasmussen polling in November of 2007 which found that 77% of adult Americans flatly reject the idea.

And in the historic 2014 elections, even the deep Democrat blue state of Oregon rejected licenses for illegals when 66% of all voters rejected Measure 88 even though the supporters of licenses for illegal immigrants outspent opponents by more than 20 to 1.

Now, North Carolina GOP lawmakers Rep. Harry Warren,
Rep. Brian Brown, Rep. Jonathan Jordan, and Rep. Jeff Collins want to encourage more illegal immigration and employment of illegals by passing their deceptively named bill to give licenses to illegal aliens HB 328 called the "Highway Safety/Citizens Protection Act."

William Gheen, President of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is carrying the group's national message to the NC General Assembly by meeting directly with NC lawmakers to say:

"NC lawmakers should be working to get illegal immigrants off of our voter lists, off of our roads, and off of North Carolina work sites instead of trying to facilitate them and their employers with licenses that more than 3 out of 4 North Carolinians reject!" said William Gheen. "It's terribly disturbing to see lawmakers so out of touch with the American citizens they serve."

The licenses for illegal immigrants bill HB 328 has been referred to the Judiciary I House Standing Committee.

All of North Carolina's Spanish language newspapers, Que Pasa and La Noticia, are running front page headlines celebrating the bill with pictures of Representative Harry Warren while the English language newspapers have been completely silent so far.

Representative Warren's only hope to pass such an unpopular and destructive bill is to hide the bill in the text of another larger bill or convince the new Speaker of the NC House Tim Moore to lead a sub group of Republicans over to vote with most Democrats to pass the licenses for illegal immigrants bill in a similar way John Boehner and other GOP lawmakers are helping illegals.

All NC English language media are asked to inform their readers about this bill. All NC lawmakers are asked to actively oppose and defeat this bill. All NC citizens and citizens of other states who oppose licenses and any other taxpayer benefits for illegal immigrants are asked to contact NC legislators to oppose HB 328 while using this activism example to locate and defeat similar legislation in their home states.

    ALIPAC Activists,

I'm heading to the NC General Assembly right now and I need your backup. We learn how to win in NC and then export what we learn to other states.

Please 1. Read, understand, and help distribute today's press release. 2. Call the members of the NC Judiciary I committee to oppose Rep. Harry Warren's HB 328 'Licenses for illegal aliens bill" 3. Connect with your state groups and scan for local license and tuition for illegals bills.
