Thread: Help Stop GOP Senators From Caving on Rule Change To Pass Amnesty

Members of the US Senate are back at their trickery again, this time the cloture vote rules. Many of our veteran Amnesty fighters will remember that the Cloture Rule, which requires 60 votes for legislation to proceed instead of a simple majority of 51 votes to proceed, is the rule that saved the nation from destructive Amnesty when we defeated it in 2006, 2007, and 2010!

Corrupt Democrat Senator Harry Reid wants to do away with the cloture vote rule or modify it. This would enable him to pass Amnesty for illegal aliens along with other radical plans they have in mind for us this year.

The sellout Republicans like Jeff Flake, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio, and Rand Paul are tempted to accommodate Harry Reid, because this way they can vote against Amnesty yet still help it to pass by adjusting the rule early in this year's session.

They are counting on you to A. Not know about this and B. Not understand this. You can destroy both of these strategies today with a few phone calls!

"I am calling to tell Senator _______ not to cave in to Senator Harry Reid on any Cloture Vote rule changes. It is imperative that you let Senator ______ know that if he votes with the Democrats to get rid of or change the cloture rules I am going to hold him personally responsible for any reprehensible and disgusting legislation the Democrats get passed thanks to his capitulation. Tell Senator _____ to stand up and tell Harry Reid NO on any Rule Changes designed to pass legislation like Amnesty for illegal aliens and other bills opposed by most Americans!"

By letting these GOP Senators know that you are A. Aware of the attempt to change the rules and B. You know what the rule change vote from them will mean. You can greatly decrease the chances this change will happen.

Unfortunately, the Republican leadership is about to let the Democrats hide even more laws.

We just learned that Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has reached an agreement with Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) on a plan that will dramatically reduce the ability to debate and amend legislation in the Senate. This plan will do two things:
Shorten the time bills are actually debated to just 2 days
Eliminate all but 2 Republican amendments


Politicians in Washington have been too quick to pass new laws and two slow to read them and consider their consequences. America needs more debate in the Senate, not less.
