Sams, my particular gripe when I came here was that we in the US reference ourselves as "Americans" with great pride and exclusivity to mean US citizens only, yet an illegal from Mexico, Costa Rica, Canada or Peru also call themselves "Americans" with complete accuracy. "American" rolls off the tongue so much more nicely than "U.S. citizen" or any other substitute term that I can think of. Everybody here is very aware.

Regarding the OT of this article - that's what I have been saying! U.S. citizen workers from engineers & doctors to ditch diggers have been systematically displaced by foreign workers for decades. It is not just in one demographic by geographic, caucasian persuasion or anything like that - the bottom line criteria is U.S citizen, displaced and marginalized.
    Restitution to Displaced Citizens First!
