Over 1 Billion in NC Resources Stolen By Illegal Immigrants

Over 1 Billion of NC Taxpayer Resources Stolen By Illegal Immigrants Each Year

    For Immediate Release

    February 22, 2011

Contact: Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC)
    (919) 787-6009 press@alipac.us

ALIPAC is reminding NC state lawmakers that two national organizations estimate the total tax drain caused by illegal aliens in NC to exceed 1 Billion in taxpayer resources per year!

While illegal immigrants do pay sales taxes and some other taxes, they collectively consume much more than they pay in tax resources through their use of food stamps, unemployment, welfare, educational resources, law enforcement resources, medicaid, etc....

North Carolina lawmakers are aiming to make billions of dollars in cuts to the state budget which will have a dramatic impact on many North Carolina citizens including teachers, health care professionals, and state workers instead of stopping spending of over 1 Billion dollars per year on illegal immigrants.

"How many state workers, teachers, students, and health care recipients could the 1 to 1.3 Billion the illegals are taking in NC taxes each year help?" asks William Gheen. "Why does the Democratic leadership in Raleigh refuse to follow the example of so many other states that are protecting limited tax dollars from illegal immigrants?"

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC estimated in 2005 that over 1 Billion dollars of the annual NC state budget and taxes were being utilized by NC's 300-600 thousand illegal aliens.

ALIPAC's estimate was reinforced on January 13, 2009, when FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform) estimated that North Carolina was spending approximately 1.3 Billion per year in state taxes on illegal aliens, including 1.2 Billion dollars sent out of the NC economy in the form of remittances.

"Over thirty states have enacted significant immigration enforcement measures with comprehensive enforcement legislation passed in places like Georgia, Arizona, South Carolina, and Oklahoma." said William Gheen. "These states report gradual, humane, and significant declines in their illegal alien populations. North Carolina needs to follow their example. Those state's are no longer paying billions in taxes for illegals."

Illegal immigrants rapidly leave states and local jurisdictions where local and state governments enact crackdown measures according to multiple news reports, local officials, and think tank studies. Illegal aliens are reportedly leaving several counties in North Carolina due to the 287(g) program according to news reports.

North Carolina remains an attractive destination for illegal aliens due to the absence of any significant preventative state laws.

I was so hoping that with the democrats no longer in control of the N.C. house that we would see some of the same changes that are happening in S.C. and GA. but, it looks as though its not going to happen. these people do not deserve these resources seeing as how they send their illegal earnings back to their homeland while the citizens of this country and this state are taking care of them. "THERE IS NOTHING RIGHT ABOUT THE WAY OUR GOVERNMENT AT ALL LEVELS ARE PANDERING TO THESE PEOPLE". I'm real surprised that there has not been some kind of unrest by the American people in protest to whats happening in the whole country when it comes to Illegals being treated better than we are. just like onetrickydude, I'm in wonder of whats happened to this state also my mind goes back to Greensboro in the 60's and you all know what I'm getting at here and, to see how this state is accepting illegal hispanics is just mind boggling to me if you are an African-American you will see where I'm coming from.

What do you mean "it is not going to happen"? We should have big legislation filed soon.

    Filed maybe but pass.... dunno.

We're seeing more and more Reps even kill some of these bills by either sending them to hopeless commitee's to having a few panderers who think somehow they can be turned to be republican voters as long as its a socialist republican...

Think LadystClaire is just feeling like me that its feeling almost hopeless at this time to actually pass crap besides keep pushing the issue hoping in 2012 goes to being a hot topic.

I think ReformUSA2012 is probably refering to other states that have stopped good bills in committees, such as VA and NM.
