On February 29, 2016 our national grass roots organization ALIPAC "Americans for Legal Immigration PAC" changed our 12 year policy of not endorsing Presidential candidates to endorse Donald Trump (click to view our endorsement)

THE UNFORTUNATE DOWN SIDE OF OUR Feb 29 ENDORSEMENT and AID TO DONALD TRUMP ON THE MAIN ISSUE OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION THAT WON HIM THE PRIMARY IS THAT WE HAVE LOST ABOUT 20% OF OUR SUPPORTERS THAT WERE DEDICATED TO TED CRUZ!

THEREFORE, WE MUST RECEIVE STRONG AND IMMEDIATE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FROM DONALD TRUMP SUPPORTERS BEFORE OUR FUNDS DEADLINE OF JUNE 30 or ENDORSING TRUMP WILL BECOME ALIPAC's FINAL ACT!

ALIPAC endorsed Trump for 3 reasons.

1. Donald Trump finally made messages our group has fought to get out to the public central to his campaign. He was influenced by Ann Coulter's book 'Adios America' which was written with help from our archives at www.ALIPAC.us Trump promised to deport all illegals and broke through the media's blockade on information about the victims of illegal alien crimes like Kate Steinle and the thousands of other Americans being killed by illegals each year.

2. Our first funds drive of 2016 fell short of the minimum operations budget we need for our streamlined and efficient operations to continue to exist. When we pressed our donors for answers we found that the Trump Vs. Cruz fight was actually having a toxic effect on down ballot races for Congress and ALIPAC. You would think that the resurgence of the illegal immigration issue would have helped us, but instead people were too focused on the fight between Cruz and Trump! So ALIPAC endorsed Trump to help break the stalemate and to try to break free of the conflict that was dragging us down.

3. By endorsing Trump and attracting more Trump supporters to ALIPAC it is our hope we can have more influence on Donald Trump's campaign and possible Presidency. We want Trump to keep his promises to fully enforce existing immigration laws while building the wall on our southern border. ALIPAC can do that more effectively from within the Trump camp where we now have over 10,000 Trump supporters on our Facebook page "Help Trump Fire Obama and Hillary"
