Thread: We Just Made The Loudest Outcry Since 1923 against Washington leadership

Friends of ALIPAC,

While we all would have preferred to see John Boehner lose his position as Speaker of the House today due to his numerous lies, support for amnesty for illegals, and his assistance to Barack Obama's unconstitutional amnesty dictate, our efforts today are something to be proud of.

Not only did we take a principled stance and stuck to our political guns, but we found out a lot about who can and cannot be trusted in Washington and across the country. We have a much clearer picture now of who is a sellout and who is loyal to the American citizenry on all issues of importance.

Also, the headlines tell us this defection against a sitting Speaker of the House was the most sizable since 1923! We just made the loudest outcry of opposition against a sitting speaker in almost 90 years!

It was great to see members of Congress on our side fight back in greater numbers and with greater organization than before. Surely they now see the need to reformulate a caucus they control that will better organize members of Congress against amnesty and better support candidates loyal to America.

408 votes cast; Boehner received 216, Pelosi 164, Webster 12, Gohmert 3, Yoho 2, Jim Jordan 2, Jim Cooper on TN 1, Peter DeFazio 1, Jeff Duncan 1, Trey Gowdy 1, John Willis 1, Kevin McCarthy 1, Rand Paul 1, Jeff Sessions 1, Colin Powell 1, 1 present.

And while it is disappointing to see so many Republicans vote for someone as terrible as Boehner, we now have Boehner's voters in a real corner.

Three things are very likely to occur now.

1. There is going to be a lot of movement in 2015 to create a national network of organizations and activists that want to create an alternative to Republicans and Democrats that is more supportive of our Constitution and more responsive to our citizens. The GOP is going to undergo a major shift away from all of those that stood with establishment today.

2. The more than 60% of Republicans in America that did not want Boehner back as Speaker are going to grow in number and become more active after seeing so many people in their own party kowtow to the powers in DC wrecking America. These votes for John Boehner will hang like a dark cloud over these incumbents in the 2016 primaries and elections.

3. John Boehner is going to further incense more Americans very shortly as he will rush to rubber stamp or sustain Obama's wrongdoing while giving the US Chamber of Commerce and the energy industries all they want including more spooky global trade agreements that are worse than NAFTA!

Things are most likely to have to get worse before they can get better.

In closing, I’d like to repeat our thanks to each of you that took time from your work and families to call Congress on behalf of all Americans that still know the difference between right and wrong and between good and evil.

Even when we lose a round in this war to save America, it feels good to have fought such a slimy character as John Boehner and to have stood beside such wonderful Americans like you!

Let's all remember what Mark Twain said about situations like ours...

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."

Thank you, William! There is little to disagree with in your post, and I too appreciate all who fight this fight. I still, though, await the first concrete sign that Washington understood the message of last November's elections. This election of Boehner for a third term solidifies my belief that the republican party is no more OUR cause's answer than the democrats are.


We will continue pushing and crowding them while actively looking for and considering alternatives! Thanks to all who participate in doing so!
