If Ms. Schulken wants to stem the tide of hatred, then perhaps she should take a good look at LaRaza, the Socialist Party and the Marxist Party, all of which are supporting the causes of Illegal Aliens in the United States with the hopes of moving their own agendas forward.

It is not racist to discuss the very real problems that are being caused by Illegal Aliens in this country. Those problems stem from something that goes far beyond the color of a person's skin, which is what "racism" is about. We are dealing with the fact that there are ideologies out there, regardless of race, which want to weaken the United States states on several levels: economically, culturally and in regard to our security. If people of a certain race are perpetrating these problems, then it is not a crime to discuss those problems.

Mr. Gheen and most ALIPAC members are bringing these problems to the forefront in a logical way and without any racism intended, by openly discussing those problems and educating the American public so that they will not make the mistakes that Europe has made and which Europe is now regretting. We are at a very dangerous time in our National Politics when political leaders pander to anti-American ideologies and to nations which want to see our demise.

Perhaps this is all best explained in Patrick Buchanan's book entitled "State of Emergency - The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America." If Ms. Schulken were to read this book, perhaps her eyes and her mind would be opened to the possibility that there are agendas out there that are dangerous to our nation's survival. Moreover, if Ms. Schulken were to read this book, then perhaps she would realize that it is not only ALIPAC that recognizes the problems that we are confronted with today because of Illegal Aliens and their supporters.

Mr. Buchanan's book openly discusses the problems of Illegal Aliens, the corrupt Mexican government; the Mexican agenda; the vitriolic verbal and literal activities of LaRaza; the radical Muslim incursion into Europe and the problems that are occuring there because of the EU; why the establishment of a similar North American Union is dangerous to the survival of the United States; the fact that people from the Middle East have been entering our country through Mexico; why the Democrats are pushing open borders and activities that appear to be Socialist in nature; why the Republicans fail to act quickly; as well as how all of these subjects tie together to create the problems we are experiencing in this country today. Did Ms. Schulken ever expect to see May Day marches in this country? Of was she hoping something like that would happen?

There's a great Buddhist lesson which I think fits Ms. Schulken to a tee: "Whenever you point a finger at someone, always remember that there are three other fingers pointing right back at you."

Enlighten yourself, Ms. Schulken. It's not Mr. Gheen or members of ALIPAC who are carrying out racist rhetoric against the United States. That hatred is coming from the very people whom you purportedly defend and support.

    From my email

    Dear Mr. Thames,

It is a shame that your paper has to reduce itself to name calling when its agenda does not agree with someone else’s opinion.

I live in Southern California and have been called many names because of my support for legal immigration. My only requirement is that people obey the law.

My hope is that biased opinion journalism such as this will end. I am sure your circulation is down just as many other papers are. Do you wonder why?

    Thanks,
    (Name Removed)
    and

It is a shame that your paper did not do research before writing this and calling Mr. Gheen a murderer.

Maybe it is extremely difficult for you and your staff to comprehend that he is talking about lawbreakers. If you would respect the laws of our land you would not have written such an article.

These people are breaking the law and being rewarded with food, housing, medical, higher education, opportunity to buy houses, and now the INSANE possibility of getting legal status.

What makes Mr. Gheen a murderer?

    Regarding :

    MARY SCHULKEN
    THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER

This woman, and any like her have no place in the American Media.

I hope that Mr. Gheen sues you and puts your anti-American paper out of business for slandering his good name and reputation!

You should be ashamed of yourselves for publishing her Un American garbage! She should be removed from her position in your organization and stripped of any duties related to your business.

I hope that she gets what she has coming to her for trying to destroy the reputation of a great American doing a great job!
    and...

    Dear Ms Schulken.

You should be ashamed of yourself on a personal and professional level for publishing a personal attack. Were you to take the time to understand topics you write about, you would rise above slanderous untruths. You and your newspaper have abused your priveledge as journalists by attacking an individual in such a dispicable manner. Among the personal attacks, you asserted Mr Gheen opposes immigration law. Indeed this too is patently false. ALIPAC and Mr. Gheen oppose laws that will provide a free pass to those who have broken the law.

Your personal attack on Mr. Gheen may also broken the law. Slander has gotten more than one "reporter" in legal trouble. If this comes to pass, I'm certain you will be looking for amnesty against the crime.

Mr Gheen, ALIPAC, and their numerous supporters have no qualms with immigration - only illegal immigration. ALIPAC's position is with the overwhelming majority of Americans who oppose illegal immigration.

Your immediate apology to Mr. Gheen and those who may take offense to such writings is warranted immediately. Nothing less will suffice.

I'd like to see that STUPID WOMAN MARY SCHULKEN fired from her job!

Mary Schulken needs to get some facts straight. Illegal immigration is NOT THE SAME THING AS LEGAL IMMIGRATION.

I just wrote a nasty letter to the Charlotte Observer.

If I were you William, I would sue her and the newspaper for printing such slanderous remarks.
RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends

    More from my email...

    Dear Ms. Caulkins,

I read the editorial in the Charlotte Observer on June 5th, 2008, written by your associate editor, Mary Schulken, about William Gheen. This is a vicious and slanderous attack on a man who has never used the language that Ms. Schulken uses in comparing him to a totally fictional movie character from years long ago. Mr. Gheen is a law-abiding citizen with a family and a good reputation. He does not deserve this attack on his good name and his character, and I believe that the ONLY way the Charlotte Observer can right the wrong that has been done to Mr. Gheen, is to fire Mary Schulken, and let that stand as a warning to other reporters, journalists and associate editors, that such unwarranted and slanderous letters/editorials will not be tolerated in any American newspaper. Mr. Gheen should sue, if a PUBLIC apology is not made to him by The Charlotte Observer, and if Ms. Schulken is allowed to remain employed and unpunished for her scandalous and outrageous behavior.

    Thank you for your time.

Truthfully, this article could be physically dangerous to William. I would definitely consider a lawsuit.

RESPONSE TO THE SLANDEROUS ARTICLE, emailed already

I read with dismay your slanderous article re William Gheen and ALIPAC. I have had a long relationship with William and ALIPAC. ALIPAC is a PAC which works with our congressfolk and state and local legislators to stand up for our LAWS and our nation. Mr. Gheen and the moderators work very hard to maintain a professional and truthful website which tells the truth re illegal aliens. Truth that is NOT told to the American people, nor to LEGAL immigrants by the Mainstream Media. Mr. Gheen is NOT a racist. To brand him such is unfair and with the level of vile comments is a clear physical threat to him.

Why is it that pro-illegal organizations can say and do whatever they want, but those of us who truly stand for our laws and thus our nation are supposed to lose our First Amendment rights?

Why is it that only Americans and LEGAL immigrants are supposed to obey the laws?

As our economy worsens, fewer and fewer Americans and LEGAL immigrants are going to stand for our jobs being stolen, insourced or outsourced.

Tell the WHOLE truth for a change,

    Pat XXXXXX
    TIME'S UP!

Why should only AMERICAN CITIZENS and LEGAL immigrants, have to obey the law?!

    MARY SCHULKEN
    THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER
    GOLDEN GLOBES

    Friday, June 6, 2008

As a citizen of the United States of America, I stand appalled of the fact that you would lower the standards of your fine newspaper to permit a person, namely Mary Schulken to disgrace the honor and integrity of the Charlotte Observer in order to post her biased rantings of a inbred lunatic.
ALIPAC represents ALL citizens of the USA and in no case has shown ANY vindictiveness toward any person of national origin.
The issue is and was ILLEGAL immigration, something that our elected officials have forgotten to enforce when they swore their oaths to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America.
Which DOES guarantee the USA citizens the right to have secure borders and protection against invaders.

The said Founders had invasion in mind. They mentioned it four times in the Constitution, without ever defining it. Here are the citations:

    Article I, Section 8, Paragraph 15: The Congress shall have the Power (to) provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

Article I, Section 9, Paragraph 2: The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.

Article I, Section 10, Paragraph 3: No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.

Article IV, Section 4, Paragraph 1: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestics Violence.

There are many enemies of the USA, many have become entrenched in government offices whose goals is to destroy this fine country from within.

Permitting a person like Mary Schulken to express her demented ramblings have shown the free world how low a mentally sick person can become. I pray that the Charlotte Observer will edit their writings more carefully. I sure wouldn't want the world to know that such a derelict in life was associated with your firm.

    My warmest regards
    and...

    Hello,

I read the article that Ms. Schulken wrote about Mr. Gheen and illegal immigration. I can only wonder how long it will be before the Observer is served. I would encourage you to print a retraction and make a formal apology to Mr. Gheen. North Carolina has only seen the beginning of the crisis that illegal immigration causes all over this country. How about the Tuberculosis they are bringing to southern California right now? You had better open your eyes before someone you love is affected by this issue.

    Regards,

    and..

    Dear Ms. Schulken:

I read your article that likened William Gheen to horrible psychopaths from America's past.

I find it astounding that a journalist like you would have so little self-respect that you would be comfortable using your position of power to engaging in a vile hatemongering rant, simply because you find that your political views are too intellectually and morally bankrupt to prevail in an open and honest marketplace of ideas.

    Shame on you!

Is it any wonder that Americans have such a low opinion of journalists?

I have noticed an increasing campaign of fear and hate on the part of the radical left against those who (gasp) believe the US should enforce its immigration laws just as virtually every other country of the world does.

But your sociopathic rant reaches a whole new level.

    STOP THE HATE

    STOP IT NOW
