According to Kennedy, illegal aliens:

I. Only come here to work hard
2. Work harder than native Americans do
3. Only broke our immigration laws because they wanted to come here and the immigration laws that we have got in their way and were unenforceable anyway
4. Those that committed fraud by procuring false documents only did so because they needed them to be able to work here so they shouldn't be punished
5. Attend our churches and schools and are great contributors to our society
6. Do the work that Americans cannot and will not do
7. Respect our laws and want to assimilate and become a proud American
8. It is America's fault that we have allowed their exploitation by employers
9. Cannot afford health care coverage so they should be subsidized by the American taxpayer
10. Want to come out of the shadows that bad and mean American people and laws have driven them into. They only want to enter the sunlight of America
11. Don't come here for entitlements or to commit crimes or to break any laws but do so to make America better
12. Violent gang members are only misguided and really want to pledge their loyalty to America
13. Should be able to buy American citizenship for a few pesos paid for on an installment plan
14. Shouldn't have cumbersome restrictions placed on any family members to join them here.
15. Are severely needed by America because our country would be stopped in its tracks and our economy wold crumble without their contributions.

I say we fly all illegals to the Kennedy compound. He can take care of them personally.

... Don't forget they also have tighter knit families than Americans do and have stronger morals.

They respect all traffic laws and they never, ever drive drunk.

And, they have a WAY higher fecundity rate. This is probably OK with Ted, since he's a Catholic.

16. Illegal aliens must be given complete cofidentiality on any information they present to get awarded their Z-visa. The agency processing their information cannot share this information with any other governmental agency nor can any governmental agency access their information for any reason to determine if there are any fraud, criminality, or terrorism issues present. No governmental agency has any right to determine who these prople are except for that governmental agency processing their information for the Z-visa and that information will be used soley to grant their Z-visa. If the illegal aliens personal information didn't have strict confidentiality controls, then the illegal aliens would go to their social organizations, their church groups and pastors, non profit organizations and advocacy groups to seek advice as to whether they should come out of the shadows or not. We must provide every incentive to these hard working people to come out of the shadows and into the sunlight of America and not doing so would be a great disservice to them and would be in direct opposition to the whole purpose of this bill.

And we're not losing 25 American citizens' lives per day to illegal immigrants.

You know, Kennedy is fighting tooth and nail not to allow any amendments that restricts even one of these illegals from staying here. Criminals and all.
He's afraid if an amendment procludes illegals who have used document fraud to work here, which is a felony, there wouldn't be anybody left to give legal status to. He'd be right.
