Hugh Hewitt did an excellent analysis of the Republican race on CNN this morning. He mentioned the Huckabee factor, and how the MSM has deftly avoided drawing attention to it. He reiterated that "a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain". Despite his support for Romney, he seemed to be making a strong effort to be objective about the forces behind McCain, a major one being Huckabee.

Yes, Hugh is doing a good job cutting through the MSM bias towards McCain. And unlike the MSM who pretends to be objective, Hugh acknowledges that he supports Romney.

Read his analysis here (scroll down a little to see his take):

You think Romney's better on illegal immigration than Romney

We all know McCain's a turd on the issue, but why all this energy to back Romney? Romney's taken BY FAR the most money from the Agribusiness and Construction industries. Something tells me they're not fighting for border enforcement.

Focus your energy on Romney, AmyCarter. He is acceptable to most of us here and the only chance at all to defeat McCain.

Amy because he has promised Tancredo to stop illegal immigration. I think he is the candidate we can most work with. McCain is stubborn and thinks he is superior over conservatives. In fact, Michael Regan wrote an article stating that he thinks McCain hate him and conservatives. Just think a Republican that hates conservatives. That's not good.

I don't trust any of them. I trust McCain and Rudy the least and Huck is right there with them.

Today, I sent out an email to all my CA friends to vote for Romney if they are registered Repubs. I really think it is going to boil down to either McCain or Romney.

To my registered Dem friends in CA, I just told them I hope God forgives their souls. Hahhaah.

    McCain can not be trusted!

If you are one of those people who have a very strong EQ (emotional intelligence), you know you can't trust McCain. I have a very strong EQ, and I just do not trust this man.

SURE YOU CAN. You can trust him to give illegals amnesty. You can trust him to continue to curtail your free speech (McCain Fiengold). You can trust him to hate conservatives. You can trust him to call law-abiding citizens who want the immigration laws on the books now "bigots. You can trust him to not sign tax cuts into law.
