Apple CEO Tim Cook 'Deeply Offended' by 'DACA situation'

Apple CEO Tim Cook 'deeply offended' by 'DACA situation'

    April 6, 2018

    Catherine Clifford

    Apple
CEO Tim Cook has doubled down on his objection to repealing DACA, an immigration policy which temporarily protects certain young, otherwise undocumented immigrants from deportation.

"The DACA situation is one that I am truthfully, as an American, deeply offended by," Cook says, according to an excerpt of an interview with MSNBC's Chris Hayes and Recode's Kara Swisher set to air Friday, April 6.

"The DACA situation is not an immigration issue. It's a moral issue. This is a moral issue," Cook says.

DACA, which stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, gives legal status to children who immigrated to the United States before they were 16 and are accepted to the program, according to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Website. President Donald Trumprescinded DACA on Sept. 5, 2017, but as of February, DACA was forced by federal court order to re-open cases for renewals. As the DACA cancellation became mired in federal courts, the Washington Post reported in March that Trump may be open to a short-term deal on DACA in exchange for movement on his effort to build a wall between the United States and Mexico. However, on Monday, Trump tweeted "DACA is dead."

THEIR OWN COUNTRY HAS A "MORAL" ISSUE

TIM COOK IS WELCOME TO GO TO CENTRAL AMERICA AND MEXICO AND GIVE THEM A "COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR REFORM" AND PAY FOR THESE PEOPLE OUT OF HIS POCKETS.

    NO DACA
    NO AMNESTY #8
    NO ANCHOR BABY
    NO ASYLUM
    NO FREEBIES!!!

WE CANNOT ALLOW THESE COUNTRIES TO CONTINUE TO INVADE OUR COUNTRY FOR ANOTHER 50 YEARS!
ILLEGAL ALIENS HAVE "BROKEN" OUR IMMIGRATION SYSTEM

DO NOT REWARD THEM - DEPORT THEM ALL

How many DACA brats has this loser sponsored and taken into his home to provide and care for? I bet the answer is < 1. He wants us to foot the bill for him and his cheap labor cronies. Read the constitution pal, nowhere does it say that we are obligated to subsidize your work force and I'm deeply offended that you side with criminal aliens.

And what is the figure - 70% of IT workers are foreign, here on visa - they take half the going pay rate and still have enough $$ to pay their parents mortgages in india. obama decreed their spouses can receive work permits and they are making babies here too.
It is just too much! india could lower their birthrate that is 48% higher than ours and stop expecting to work in USA. 1 in every 6 person lives in india - a birth a second - population doubled in 40 years.

Our college educated youths are packing boxes at Amazon warehouses and gathering groceries for food chains' home delivery, whole foods, giant etc.

Not right! trump has not changed this foreign visa excess either as promised - the mega giants in IT push their politicians, they push trump to drop the whole thing. A game.

I am deeply offended by Tim Cook's comments. Hey, I wonder how many black Americans work for Apple in the United States. I wonder how many Black Americans, White Americans, Hispanic Americans and Asian Americans would love a great job with Apple in the United States?

He's supposed to be investing $350 billion in the United States so that's got to create some really fantastic new jobs when the operations get up and running. Hope Apple BUYS AMERICAN AND HIRES AMERICAN and stops offending Americans with his silly DACA Whines! Why would an American CEO be not just offended but deeply offended because Americans want to enforce our immigration laws? It just makes no sense at all.
