IS FACEBOOK TARGETING LINKS FROM THEBLAZE AS SPAM?

    Apr. 25, 2013 12:07pm Liz Klimas

It has come to the attention of TheBlaze that some readers or sharers of our stories on Facebook have been experiencing problems.

In several cases, trying to access the link to TheBlaze’s story about Michelle Obama allegedly visiting the Saudi National in the hospital after the Boston bombings gave Facebook users warnings that the site could be spam.

In other cases, posting links — any links — from TheBlaze on Facebook resulted in a pop-up requiring a CAPTCHA code be filled out.

After filling out the code, the link would post just fine. Links from other media outlets though did not require a CAPTCHA code though.

Searching public posts on Facebook about TheBlaze revealed many were talking about potential problems and even calling it censorship:

TheBlaze contacted Facebook for comment on what might be causing this issue and learned from a Facebook Policy Communications spokesperson that posts from TheBlaze “were triggering a false positive on our spam systems,” which were recently re-calibrated.

The spokesperson said links from TheBlaze on Facebook should be working fine now.

Were Facebook users being unfair for jumping to censorship conclusions? TheBlaze has reported cases in the past where conservative bloggers have claimed Facebook unfairly shut down their accounts or penalized them for posts. Several pages for gun stores were recently shut down for violating Facebook’s policies as well. Conservatives have even launched their own social network as an alternative to Facebook.

But according to Facebook, in the case of TheBlaze’s links they have an explanation.

Update: Did Saudi 'person of interest' visit White House?

Visitor logs have caused some to suggest the 20-year-old Saudi national questioned in the Boston Marathon bombing probe was at the White House on several previous occasions.

WND has taken a closer look and here's what we know -- and don't know -- as of this moment about the 'person of interest' and those D.C. activities.

Did Saudi 'person of interest' visit White House?

Internet rumors fly as his name shows up on log

Did the 20-year-old Saudi national questioned in the Boston Marathon bombing probe visit the White House?

As reported by The Right Scoop blog, the White House visitor log available online shows that an Abdulrahman A. Alharbi visited Dec. 8, 2009.

The visit was listed as a group tour, however, and at that time, the Abdul Rahman Ali Issa Al-Salimi Al-Harbi who was questioned by authorities for two hours after the April 15 bombings was 16 years old.

There are two entries on Oct. 14, 2011, for an Abdulrahman Alharbi with a different middle initial, S. The entries are also associated with a group tour.

According to The Blaze, which has reported Alharbi was on a federal watch list, the Saudi national entered the U.S. last August on a student visa.

Last week, WND was first to report Alharbi shares the same last name as a major Saudi clan that includes scores of al-Qaida operatives. Some in the clan are senior al-Qaida members while others are reportedly being held by the U.S. in the Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba.

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano has insisted that authorities absolved Alharbi of anything to do with the Boston bombings. But The Blaze has reported the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s National Targeting Center issued an event file for the Saudi calling for his deportation under Section 212 (a)(3)(B) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which makes a foreigner inadmissible to the U.S. because of terrorism or related activity.

Wednesday, The Blaze further reported the event file created for Alharbi indicated he was “armed and dangerous.”

In addition, The Blaze said, emails that are automatically triggered when anyone alters an event file of that kind indicated someone removed the deportation reference.

Later, someone tried to destroy both the original event file and an amended version, The Blaze said.

In a hearing last week, Napolitano angrily dismissed an inquiry by a congressman about Alharbi as “not worthy of an answer,” but she admitted in a Senate hearing this week the Saudi was on a terror watch list.

However, as WND reported, Napolitano still has not responded to a request by the lawmaker she indignantly brushed off last week, Rep. Jeff Duncan, R-S.C., for a classified briefing on Alharbi.

While it is not clear whether the Alharbi questioned as part of the marathon probe is a member of the well-known Saudi clan, his Facebook page lists him as Facebook friends with at least seven other Alharbis, located in both Boston and in Saudi Arabia.

One of the Alharbis on his Facebook friends list, Ahmed Alharbi, is listed as a pharmacy technician at the Saudi Ministry of Health. Most others live in Riyadh.

The Alharbi clan has long been active in al-Qaida. Khaled bin Ouda bin Mohammed al-Harbi, for example, is a Saudi national who joined Osama bin Laden’s mujahadeen group in the 1980s. He reportedly became an al-Qaida member in the mid-1990s. He turned himself in to Saudi authorities in 2004 as part of an amnesty deal.

The BBC reported Khaled Alharbi was married to the daughter of al-Qaida’s number two, Ayman al-Zawahri. He reportedly appeared with bin Laden in a video praising the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Another top al-Qaida operative is Adel Radi Saqr al-Wahabi al-Harbi, a Saudi national identified by the State Department as “a key member of an al-Qaida network operating in Iran.”

The State Department has offered a multimillion-dollar reward for the capture of Abdel Alharbi, saying he is an Iran-based al-Qaida facilitator who serves as the deputy to Muhsin al-Fadhl, who runs al-Qaida’s Iran network.

On his website, former Palestinian Liberation Organization operative Walid Shoebat translated a list of the Saudi government’s 85 wanted al-Qaida members.

The list includes several members of the Alharbi clan:

    • Badr Saud Uwaid Al-Awufi Al-Harbi
    • Muhammad Atiq Uwaid Al-Awufi Al-Harbi
    • Khalid Salim Uwaid Al-Lahibi Al-Harbi
    • Raed Abdullah Salem Al-Thahiri Al-Harbi
    • Abdullah Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al-Harbi (leader)
    • Fayez Ghuneim Humeid Al-Hijri Al-Harbi

Shoebat also points out that several Alharbi clan members are being held by the U.S. government at Guantanamo Bay, including Salim Salman Awadallah Al-Saidi Al-Harbi, Majid Abdullah Hussein Al-Harbi, Muhammad Abdullah Saqr Al-Alawi Al-Harbi, Ghanem Abdul Rahman Ghanem Al-Harbi and Muhammad Atiq Uwaid Al-Awfi Al-Harbi.

Rumor Check: Did the Saudi National Really Visit the White House?

    Apr. 24, 2013 3:38pm Mytheos Holt
With revelations that Abdul Rahman Alharbi (once considered a person of interest in the Boston bombings) was put on a terror watch list briefly, was considered “armed and dangerous” at one point, and alleged photos suggesting the First Lady may have even visited him in the hospital, could it also be that Alharbi visited the White House? That’s the argument made by at least one website, citing this screenshot of White House visitor logs as evidence:

So did Abdul Rahman Al-Harbi visit the White House? TheBlaze took a look at White House visitor logs, and here’s our determination.
It’s possible that Abdul Rahman Alharbi visited the White House. But it’s also just as possible that he didn’t. We honestly don’t know. The website that originally published the picture of the logs mockingly cites the idea that “it was another ‘Abdul Rahman Al-Harbi,’” but this idea isn’t actually that far-fetched. Both the first name “Abdul Rahman” and the last name “Al-Harbi” (or Alharbi) are common. Consider this partial list of people with the name “Abdul Rahman” from theBlaze’s White House visitors’ log tracker:

What about the last name Alharbi? Again, not unique to this person:
So by comparison, if someone said “John McIntyre” visited the White House, and there just happened to be a criminal named John McIntyre, would that mean it was the same person? Again, it’s possible, but not certain. “John” is an extremely common first name, and “McIntyre” isn’t much different:

    <a href="http://ad.doubleclick.net/jump/prnd/prn-theblaze;prntype=web;prngenre=conservative_talk;pr npage=interior;pos=bottom;sz=300x250;u=prntype*web !prngenre*conservative_talk!prnpage*interior!pos*b ottom!sz*300x250;ord=123456789?" target="_blank" ><img src="http://ad.doubleclick.net/ad/prnd/prn-theblaze;prntype=web;prngenre=conservative_talk;pr npage=interior;pos=bottom;sz=300x250;u=prntype*web !prngenre*conservative_talk!prnpage*interior!pos*b ottom!sz*300x250;ord=123456789?" border="0" alt="" /></a>

Such is also the case with “Alharbi” and “Abdul Rahman.” In fact, more than one person with that name can be confirmed to have visited the White House, using the tracker (notice the difference in middle initials):

But let’s say one of these is the Abdul Rahman Alharbi. Does that mean he was visiting the White House for some secret purposes? Again, possible, but extremely unlikely. Why? Two reasons: Firstly, because in the records above, the most recent visit by anyone with that name is in 2011, when Alharbi would’ve been 18 years old. And if the person in question is Abdul Rahman A. Alharbi, the only visit is in 2009, when he would’ve been 16. In other words, probably too young to be of any significance to the White House.
Secondly, whenever anyone with the name Abdul Rahman Alharbi is listed as a White House visitor, the smallest group he’s listed as being part of is 18 people, and when he does enter with that group, the person signing him in — “TJ Zerr” — is apparently known for being a competent White House tour guide. Someone entering the White House in a group of over 200 people, meanwhile, is almost certainly a participant in a White House tour — in other words, no one of importance. In other words, it’s likely that Abdul Rahman Alharbi went to a few White House tours or group outings, the same way any number of Americans have. This doesn’t prove malice on the part of the White House.
Bottom line: It may well be that Abdul Rahman Alharbi visited the White House. There’s no evidence to suggest he did so in the service of some rarefied purpose, or that it’s even the same person. This rumor is possibly true, but not certainly so, and in fact, there are enough mitigating factors that it merits the benefit of a doubt.

SHOCK: JUDGE WHO ENDED INTERROGATION OF BOSTON BOMBER WITHOUT DOJ KNOWLEDGE LINKED TO MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD, MUSLIM GOVERNMENTS

Watching this video after reading the article below it will be one of the most disturbing experiences you’ve ever had.

UPDATE: Judge Bowler lists herself as “a dedicated international traveler” on her bio in Business Week. Where does she travel to in such a dedicated fashion? Who does she see there, and what does she do, so regularly as to be self-described as “dedicated”. And, perhaps, “dedicated” to anything in particular? Did she take on a radical Muslim boyfriend in her travels?

UPDATE – BOWLER’S APPROVAL TO SPEAK IN EGYPT CAME FROM THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD – Excerpted from The Conservative Tree House:That 2012 trip is “Post Morsi” – Meaning she was delivering her speech at Cairo University after the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood and the release from jail of Ayman al-Zawahiri. Meaning…. she had to have the approval of The Muslim Brotherhood to be an American Judge in Egypt – delivering a lecture, at Cairo University in 2012.

Excerpted from FRONT PAGE MAG: As FOX News reported and Robert Spencer noted, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev stopped talking once he was prematurely read his Miranda rights. That helps the authorities establish the lone wolf narrative. Whatever else we might have learned from him is probably lost.

Once Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was read his rights on Monday, he immediately stopped talking, according to four officials of both political parties who were briefed on the interrogation but insisted on anonymity because the briefing was private.

After roughly 16 hours of questioning, investigators were surprised when a magistrate judge and a representative from the U.S. Attorney’s office entered the hospital room and read Tsarnaev his rights, the four officials and one law enforcement official said. Investigators had planned to keep questioning him.

    And

District Court Judge Marianne Bowler arrived at the hospital where he is being treated to preside over his initial hearing Monday, when she read him his Miranda rights.

But Fox News’ sources say there was confusion about Bowler’s timing, with some voicing concerns that investigators were not given enough time to question Dzhokhar under the “public safety exception” invoked by the Justice Department.

Two officials with knowledge of the FBI briefing on Capitol Hill said the FBI was against stopping the investigators’ questioning and was stunned that the judge, Justice Department prosecutors and public defenders showed up, feeling valuable intelligence may have been sacrificed as a result.

Judge Bowler has some interesting international connections. She is a member of the Member of the International Judicial Relations Committee of the Judicial Conference of the United States.
Apparently in that capacity, she visited and spoke on legal issues at a number of Muslim countries, becoming the first female judge to speak in Kuwait, appearing also in Egypt and in the United Arab Emirates. Oddly enough, aside from a visit to the US embassy in Belgrade, those are the only international appearances that she lists and they all take place in Muslim countries.

While Islamic infiltration of our political system is well known, the infiltration of our legal system is less well known, but operates within similar parameters with foreign contacts being made. There is no way of knowing how much Bowler has been influenced by her connections with the legal and political systems of the Muslim world, but it is telling that her international judicial relations appear to begin and end with the Muslim world.

Saudi National resurfaces… at White House 4th of July

Wednesday, Jul 10, 2013 at 2:14 PM EDT

    Video at the Page Link:

Abdul Rahman Alharbi, once a person of interest in the Boston Marathon bombing, turned up at the White House for July 4th festivities. He was at one time placed on a watch list and was at one point labeled a threat to national security by the State Department. What in the world was he doing there?

As reported by TheBlaze, Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi appears to have been in attendance at the White House’s 4th of July celebration for military leaders and their families. A Twitter account from a person claiming to be Alharbi’s father posted photos of the Saudi national at the event, and a Arab newspaper claims he was invited to attend.

TheBlaze reported on the Saudi National’s attendance:

So why would the Alharbi family have been at the White House for Independence Day?

According to some Arabic-language media, they were invited.

A recent post from the Twitter account in question links to a July 6 report from Al-Hayat – a widely-read pan-Arab daily newspaper – with the comment: “Today [Saturday] the Al-Hayat newspaper published a news item stating that Abd Al-Rahman and his family had been invited by the White House to participate in America’s Independence Day celebrations.” [Emphasis added]

A number of lingering questions remain on the issue, though the White House has not responded to TheBlaze’s inquiries.

“He’s at the White House celebration with the First Family, with the president and his wife. Why would you do that? Apparently they were invited,” Pat said.

“In fact, he was considered one of our most dangerous categories of terrorists and now he was just at the White House celebration of Independence Day. Is that bizarre? Would you ‑‑ I mean, even if ‑‑ would you take a chance? What are you doing? I don’t even begin to understand this. Really, really amazing.”
