With the Border Crisis Worsening, Obama Honors Illegal Aliens

This should remove any doubt that what’s happening on the US-Mexico border, mainly in Texas, is intentional on the part of the Obama administration.

The White House will honor 10 young adults on Tuesday who came to the United States illegally and qualified for the president’s program to defer deportation actions.

Each person has qualified for the government’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival program, which delays removal proceedings against them as long as they meet certain guidelines.

They will be honored as “Champions of Change,” the White House said in a statement Monday because they “serve as success stories and role models in their academic and professional spheres.”

Obama took time out from his busy golf schedule Monday to deliver a YouTube message…to the US Mens Soccer Team, during its first round match vs. Ghana.

The illegal aliens who are pouring across the border into the US at an estimated rate of 35,000 per month — no one really knows how many are actually getting here — are using rehearsed answers to buy time. They’re claiming asylum from violence they claim is spiraling in their home countries Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. Gangs, they say, have suddenly become out of control in all three countries. What a coincidence.

What’s really drawing them here are media reports telling them that once they get into the US, they won’t be turned back. Because America no longer enforces its own laws.

Belkin Rivera Hernandez, 24, said she’d heard television reports that single mothers would receive permission to stay in the U.S., and decided to try to cross with her son and two other boys from Honduras, hoping to meet her mother in Virginia.

Who is responsible for those media messages spurring people to move in masses across Mexico, itself embroiled in a deadly drug war, to the US? Why is Mexico, a country notorious for its tough immigration laws, allowing a flood of non-Mexican aliens to cross its country?

The answer to the second question may be Mexico’s rampant corruption. The migrants are reportedly paying coyotes, many of whom are connected to the drug cartels, to move them through Mexico to the US border.

Whether the Obama administration intentionally provoked the flood of migrants or not — someone is surely behind the messages being broadcast in Central America — the chaos appears to be useful to them now. Obama may believe that the chaos serves at least one useful purpose — putting pressure on Republicans in Congress to give him a “comprehensive immigration reform bill” to sign.

The Obama administration could stop, or at least dramatically slow, the flood with a word. For a pittance of the amount of money it wants to spend processing, moving, feeding and housing the illegal aliens all over the country, it could produce and broadcast messages in Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala telling people there that America will enforce its existing immigration laws. Obama could tell people that the journey is too dangerous to undertake, and that it’s pointless, because the border will be enforced.

Obama and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton produced a PSA that was broadcast in Pakistan shortly after the terrorist attack on the US facility in Benghazi, Libya in 2012. That PSA denounced a YouTube video that the administration was blaming for the attack.

Obama is not broadcasting such a message to potential illegal aliens, though. He is honoring illegal aliens at the White House, as clear a signal as he can give that he refuses to enforce our laws even with the border in a state of chaos. The US mainstream media, in the form of the agenda-setting New York Times, is agitating for the American people to pony up more money that we do not have to pay for the migrants who should not be here. Sure, let’s borrow money from China to house people who should even be in the United States at all and many of whom will surely stress our social services even more.

Lawlessness is the order of the day on the border. The Obama administration is seeing to it that the truth gets supressed. It’s now reportedly threatening Border Patrol agents with criminal prosecution if they even speak to the press about what’s really happening on the border.

When he became President of the United States, Barack Obama swore an oath to uphold and execute all of the nation’s faithfully. The border is just one of many places where he is breaking that oath, with malice aforethought.
