    Brooks remains supportive of Moore

    Brooks remains supportive of Moore

While attending the Priceville Veterans Day ceremonies Saturday morning, U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Huntsville, said he continues to support Roy Moore in the U.S. Senate race.

“We have to have a senator who will vote what’s right on confirmation of Supreme Court justices, on the deficit, the debt, on the sanctity of life, and find support for our military. That’s not Doug Jones. These things are the bigger-picture issues that face our country. That’s why I’ll vote for Roy Moore.”

Brooks was critical of the Washington Post story that accused Moore of inappropriate sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl when Moore was in his 30s and was an assistant district attorney.

“My view of the Washington Post is that they are part of the communications wing of the Democratic Party,” he said. “They are hyper-partisan to the point that they are more than willing to lie to advance their left wing, amoral, socialist agenda. I’ve seen them do it first-hand of my own personal knowledge.”
