So do I.
But -- why choose a company who hires 60-70 illegals? Why that particular company? Why a company no one knows?
Why not go after one of the big ones - who hire thousands? Why not go after one that would make a splash and make others think twice?
I am glad for every little bit - but I'm wondering how the decide which company they are going after?

Yeah! Now that's what I'm talking about! Stop the magnet...punish the ones responsible and presto...problem solved. Well maybe not solved there is still the issue of the 14th amendment.
Never give up! Never surrender! Never compromise your values!*

I thought the same thing when I first read it, why go after a small company instead of someone like Home Depot? Then I recalled the saying: "A journey of a thousand miles, begins with one step." A lot of it, I believe, has to do with different parts of the country, law enforcement in different cities, and how strongly local citizens are speaking out about illegals. People are FED UP! and every little bit helps.

Could be - but somehow - -
ICE is a federal program. It can operate anywhere and it would seem taking out a big company and the ensuing publicity would be the most cost effective.
I do think they are finding companies that aren't big contributors or not contributors at all and catching them.
But it's kinda like when a gang confronts you, if you can take out the leader - you are way ahead of the game. It doesn't help a lot of you catch the little guy tailing behind the bunch.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I won't call out any particular company names, but I wish that ICE wouldn't be CHICKEN to take out a certain Arkansas-based poultry corporation.
This outift, which has become a virtual monopoly since giving millions of dollars to Shrillary during that administration, has won their competitive edge on the broken and bloodied hands of many thousands of illegals.
This corporation has even been caught smuggling busloads of illegal aliens to their plants, and aiding them in assuming false (stolen) identities. I don't recall any of those cases resulting in trials, fines, or any punishment, to date, though I might be forgetting something.
This practice goes on, unchecked, today. Many towns in Texas and Arkansas, where their processing plants are located, have been transformed into non-English speaking majority illegal alien barrios.
I don't think a call to ICE will help. It's no secret who I'm referring to. They are the number one slaveowners, er, employers of illegals, that is, in the country.
I know what MY family deserves; foods from a company that operates legally.

That's a fact. Our daughter lived there for about a year and she kept arguing with me there weren't that many illegals there. I had read there were. We were out there for her wedding and we were trying to find her a dress for the rehearsal dinner. We found one she liked, but wrong size at some store. They called another store in another mall and they had the dress. She had never been to the other mall as she said it was not in the safest part of town. On the way, school was just letting out and we must have sat at a crosswalk for 10 minutes while those little anchor babies crossed the road. She allows as to how they might be more than she thought.
But you know, they could take a dozen buses, a couple of dozen agents, park at a poultry plant at shift change and fill them up. Very cost effective.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Happy Apples charged with employing illegal aliensSt. Louis Business Journal
Joette Reidy and Lochirco Fruit and Produce Inc. pleaded guilty to charges of hiring illegal aliens, U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway said Tuesday.
Reidy, born Lochirco, of Washington, Mo., was an officer of Lochirco Fruit and Produce, which does business as "Happy Apples."
According to the court, Happy Apples produced candy apples from its main warehouse in Union, Mo. Happy Apples grew apples at an orchard owned and operated by it in Marthasville, Mo. The operation of the orchard and production of candied apples was seasonal work requiring an influx of laborers during the fall months. For the past several years Reidy was responsible for hiring the seasonal workforce. Over the years, as Happy Apples' volume of production increased, so did its labor needs. Reidy, 40, began to meet those needs with aliens unauthorized for employment. By the fall of 2006, Happy Apples was employing approximately 60 to 70 seasonal workers, many of whom were illegal aliens. At least 10 of those aliens had been hired within the year prior to Oct. 19, 2006.
Reidy pleaded guilty to one felony count of hiring illegal aliens and the company pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of hiring illegal aliens.
In addition to Happy Apples being charged with hiring illegal aliens, the company is forfeiting $500,000. Happy Apples also agreed to pay a fine of not more than $3,000 for each employed unauthorized alien for a total of $99,000.
Reidy now faces a maximum of five years in prison and/or a maximum fine of $250,000. Sentencing has been set for Feb. 7, 2008.
