California Action Alert re: SB 65

CA Alert! New bill, now SB 65, will give student financial aid to illegal aliens!

In a procedural maneuver called "gut and amend," Senator Gil Cedillo has stripped the bill of its previous language and inserted his bill that would give the state's scarce financial aid dollars to illegal alien students. The bill, SB 65, previously concerned an entirely different matter.

Cedillo's original financial aid bill, SB 160, stalled in the Senate Appropriations Committee. But since the earlier version of SB 65 has already passed the Senate, the current bill is in the Assembly and may go to a floor vote without the normal hearing process in policy committees.

Thank you for using Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS) Mail System

Message sent to the following recipients:
    Assemblymember Brownley
    Message text follows:

To: [recipient name was inserted here],

While California's middle-class families are squeezed by the
ever-increasing cost of higher education, SB 65 would give scare financial
aid to those who have broken our immigration laws.

Hard-working California citizens struggle to balance their budgets and
decide among competing demands. The costs of higher education have imposed
a severe burden on working families.

Each year, thousands of law-abiding California residents are unable to
enter the college of their choice because they lack sufficient funds. To
provide scarce financial aid and subsidized in-state tuition to illegal
alien families is a slap in the face to citizens and legal immigrants.
This bill would make less financial aid available to those who have played
    by the rules.

While our nation and state are inundated by illegal immigration,
California is offering incentives for more illegal immigration by blurring
the line between legal and illegal. It is time to halt this process.

This measure is unjust and fiscally unsound. Please vote against SB 65.

    Sincerely,

General Cedillo, of the invading force, is a portent of what more is to come as our Nation slides farther down into Latin American politics.

When will one bill Gil give it up? This guy is nothing but a puppet for the Mexican government. Is his district total illegals? Those of us in California need to really put the pressure on the Sec. of State. If the voting booths are full where all the illegals live we need to scream when that time comes. I am so sick of this!

I did my part. If people outside California were interested in opposing this measure they could also go to

If you have friends in California you could use their zipcodes to facilitate your comment.
