Alert! Obama's speech on immigration repeats same tired arguments in favor of amnesty!

In a major speech on immigration, President Obama repeated his call for an amnesty under the guise of comprehensive immigration reform. He characterized his amnesty plan as a "pathway for legal status" and blamed the "pressure of partisanship and election year politics" for derailing his plans. Cynics might note that this is called democracy.

Obama presented us the false choice between a "blanket amnesty" and an immediate deportation of all illegal aliens. He failed to acknowledge the option of attrition through enforcement, whereby the number of illegals would gradually diminish as we enforce our laws at the border and workplace. Obama also panned the Arizona law as "ill-conceived" and called for passage of the Dream Act amnesty.
