    CSPAN2 Now!!! Voting On Stimulus Package

    The Senate is right now voting on the House version of the stimulus package, except they have added provisions to enable seniors to get a check and another one that provents illegals from getting a check.

    Dixie, I think what you're referring to was one of the amendments. I had just turned it on at that point and thought it was the bill, too. They are just now voting on the main bill. I guess they all came to some agreement aforehand.

    I had just turned it on and was counting the yeas when the sec. called them off.

    HR5140 just passed, now the House has to approve the Senate amendments and this should be signed. Maybe in joint committee.

    Cross your fingers, we are not out of the woods yet.
